Yes!! I used to listen to Evanescence all the time during my junior year of high school when my depression was really bad. After that I spent like a year and a half avoiding them because they were so heavily associated with that time. Now I'm a college sophomore and I'm finally able to listen to Evanescence without being reminded so much of my depression. Now they make me feel happy and powerful instead of broken and wanting to die.
