Love how the ABB branch is such a family affair. Chuck Leavell was in the brothers from ‘72-‘76, Jimmy Herring toured with the brothers for their 2000 summer tour, Duane Trucks filled his uncle, Butch Trucks, position for the MSG ABB reunion show in 2020, David Schools toured with Gov’t Mule (ABB offshoot) after Mule/Brothers bassist, Allen Woody, passed away. All 100% capable musicians playing this music. Fly high Dickey! Your legacy won’t be forgotten!
Ran into Chuck and his wife at Bass Pro Shops in Macon, Ga (A bit south of Atlanta for those that don't) two days before Christmas and i don't if anyone else recognized him but me. We talked for maybe 3-4 minutes and said he was doing things with John Mayer and mentioned he was doing a show NYE in ATL. which i knew where i was going to be already and after we departed each other it dawn on me where he was going to be. Good Times. He also writes children's books. Super nice Dude too BTW.
Jack Pearson for me if you please. At the time (1997-99) to fill in for Warren, Dickey told Gregg, "Gregg, we either hire him or I'm taking lessons off him!"
My favorite Keyboard player, along with Chester "CT" Thompson of Santana. Chuck's B-3 solo on "Grand Larceny" when with Sea Level is, IMHA, one of his best!
I have no problem saying this was the most magnificent experience ever. Great Job Andy, Chuck, and Panic. Most of all great job to that crowd. The energy was unreal. Cannot wait to do it again!
been comparing jb's imitation of "old black blues guys" like otis redding, bill withers, etc to the original. spot on almost every time. not that he doesn't pour a buncha jb into it too but he relays what the guy was composing about perfectly
Everything about this video is spectacular, from the craftsmanship displayed by the boys to the audio and video quality of the clip. Goosebumps all over, fantastic version!
Great, great cover. Loved listening to this. Just so wonderful when you can see that the musicians are enjoying and getting into what they're playing. It's catchy 🎸 Thanks for sharing 😋

The White Wizard strikes again. Stunning would be an understatement. I'm 49 and cynical, yet I cried like a little girl after the song was over.
