I've been thinking about making a little scarf to hold my tools for sewing or crocheting, using this pocket technique 😁 I hadn't decided if I want the pocket to open on the side like this, or if I want the pocket to open on the surface of the top sheet, though. Im currently using the color layer switching to draw geeky designs on my hand towels 😋
Another reason to cross layers is for strength. You effectively have 2 pieces of fabric joined together making it twice as thick/strong. That makes it terrific for use in things like bags that need strength. Think of it as replacing an interfacing.
I, too, hate sewing. I am loving your Double Weaving insights.
Thanks, Kari! Always good to know I'm not alone!
Un saludo desde Colombia, sus explicaciones son claras y por primera vez voy a realizar un tejido doble siguiendo sus explicaciones
You have remarkable enthusiasm and I’m smiling through all of your work. That’s a wonderful contribution to everybody and especially me. Thanks!
What a sweet comment - thank you so much!

Oh, I love this idea, Sarah!!!
Wow. Great video. You have given me an idea. How about pockets for hands in the bottom of scarves. I think I might just give it a try. Thanks.
Ooh fun, Sandra!! Great idea!
@@ActonCreative I have a daughter and it might be fun for her to have hand pockets in her scarf.
@@sandraeasthope3010 Brilliant!!
