Just bought a 2010 Highlander with 190,000 miles on it. This will be my 4th Toyota purchase in 10 years. Don’t have a single regret with any of them.
How much did you pay?
I just bought one with 197,00 for 7,000
Got the same year but limited addition 2013 188’000 miles still runs great
Middle backseat is actually the best cause its removable to get to 3rd row or replace with storage option thats hidden away between front seats.
Good review. I literally almost bought one of these, a 2013 Limited. It’s basically an appliance. The only thing that stopped me was the mpg.
i have a 2013 limited highlander, its been good so far but it has a leak around the windshield seal that caused the car to basically turn into a bathtub, so i had to rip all the carpet out and pull the rubber drain plugs, aside from that no major issues. engine seems good even at 150k miles, in my opinion the 17 inch wheels looks so much better than the 19s that come on the limited, i plan to change those next. oh yea and i think maybe i have a bad tierod end or possibly a balljoint gone bad. but thats it. for the money right now it's a good SUV that you can find used at an affordable price and with it's v6 engine it's basically a tacoma at half the price when you throw a trailer hitch on it.
water pumps on these will likely need replacing relatively early. Kind of a pain in the a$$ for the DIY. Other than water pump & radiator replacement, my 2013 V6 limited (173K mi) has served me and my family well over the past 12 years. I now mostly use it as a daily work commuter and occasional errands on weekends. We have a newer Toyota hybrid that we use if we're going on a longer road trip.
I have an 08 Limited, solid vehicle. Can't say I like it more than my gen 1 04 limited though, that car was just more fun to drive. 2nd gens are 2" higher than the 1st gens so it make sense. However the 08 is quieter and more comfortable. I went with the Limited again because I agree with your comments here, the interior leaves some things to be desired. Leather and wood grain looks good not too flashy.
Clockspring is an issue with higher mileage causing cruise control switch issues
You always mention possible rust issues, I live in Nova Scotia Canada & rust is a BIG issue here because they salt the roads in the winter!
anywhere with stuff we use to melt snow and humid summers will have rust issues.
yep lots of salt here as well, luckily we are far enough south we dont get a ton of storms but still a concern for sure
love these videos
A defiant buy
Wow you read comment posts. I have a 2010
None of the issues you warned me about..
Glad to hear yours is working well! They are a solid car!
