This was absolutely perfect! Watched with my daughter soon to go through. As a temple worker I've seen quite a few kids go through wide eyed and not knowing what to expect. I think this video should be mandatory in the best way. Thank you! 😊
Loved it. Amazing. If 10% of this was covered during my prep class in 2002, my first experience would have been the opposite it actually became.
I do hope that your experiences at the temple have grown to be filled with God's love for you.
My husband is serving as bishop currently and we are doing the temple prep course with our graduating seniors which we host in our home each Sunday evening. We shared this video with them this evening as part of our class and each of the youth said it this information helped them more than anything so far. We especially appreciated the advice to eat something before they go to the temple. So informational and beautifully presented. Thank you so much for this!

Let's make an effort to say "receive their endowment" rather than "take out their endowments"...Language is important. How we talk about these sacred things really matters.

As teenager these things were never explained to me and it always worried me or made wary of the temple. When in reality it’s a beautiful joyful thing and should be talked about with respect and passion. Thank you for this video.

Thank you so much for this! My son is getting ready to receive his endowment and hasn’t been able to do a temple prep class. He has been reading books by Elder Packard and Anthony Sweat because he wants to feel prepared for this sacred ordinance. This video is an answer to my prayers in how to help him know what to expect.

Hi John, I appreciate the hard work you've put in to do such a great job. Quick question, I've never been sure what is okay to talk about in the temple but I always thought the new name and veil were more on the sacred side of things. Could you share what guided you in determining what is appropriate to talk about (including this video)? I'm aware of Elder Bednar's talk a few years ago but wondered what guided you. Thanks again!

This is an amazing video and tool for those entering the Temple for the first time. That being said we would like to share it with our ward but are unsure if this would be appropriate at church ? Is this video endorsed by the church leaders or backed by the church in some way ?
Paige, I love that you're asking this question. Church leaders typically do not endorse videos not made by the church, and, while this video is released by Scripture Central, definitely a trusted source, it is not officially backed by the church.

I am interested in this discussion because my first experience was so so very long ago, tho I have returned 100’s of times since, I see such a contrast now in so many youth who are also fully endowed yet parade about on social media platforms as tho they were not. Bare midriff, bend over to show cleavage, short shorts, skimpy swimwear, bare shoulders, & butt shaking. As tho modesty were not needful or a thot in their minds. Or it’s somehow justified as “a job requirement” the covenants made previously.
Your comment seems pretty judgmental. It should be of no concern to you what one chooses to wear. We’re commanded to not judge others and love them as Christ does.
There is no covenant we make in the temple that isn't subsumed by the baptismal covenant.
There is no mention in the Bible or Book of Mormon that we need secret signs or keywords to return to God.
Way too little way too late.
The entire Temple endowments of the past and to today are on RUclips. Every teenager that's waiting in line for their McDonald's hamburger can simply look at the entire endowment.
So naïve to think that 95% of LDS youth haven't seen it all already .
