I was thinking, that skull needs some gold teeth. And then you did it. Well done as usual. I first watched these because I was looking into Gunpla as another hobby. Now I'm getting to the point where I just wanna watch these for the cinematography. Thx man
ItsAGunpla = Goals Needless to say, I really enjoy the videos. I love the the videos over time even more. They just keep getting better. Already can't wait for the next one. 👍
Great video, just what I've been looking for. I'm just starting to look into painting and I have a bunch of kids and animals running around so I think this paint will be a great option for me.
Your Aerial is gorgeous. It's really inspiring for someone new getting into the hobby that you can always make something great as long as you just keep at it.
I really love watching you work, the experience really shows. I love how this paint can work with brushing them on, i might have to try a couple sets of colors of them sometime, most gunpla focused hobby paints except tamiya and aqueous mr hobby really dont do well handbrushed, so this was cool to find out.
Interesting color system. Would like to see adurabily comparison between these and Vallejo Mecha paints. I normaly use AK Real Color laquers, but acrylics are definitly easier to work with.
It is so frustrating trying to find any paint brand other than Tamiya, Mr Hobby and Vallejo in Australia so I'm sure I will need to import these as well
How does he have the time and talent to do all of this, every video I have seen is so personalized. And unlike larger creators isn't a corporate shill or spredding the same opinion as every one else. He truly is under appreciated.
Gundam, I'm always impressed with your paint jobs. You should play around with some 40k figures too. That would be fun to see how you handle the "grittiness" of them.
That looks pretty good! I still need to get an airbrush, but I really want to take my gunpla to the next level. I know trucolor runs railroad paints, which I need to get for painting locomotives and cars.
This is actually very helpful and comprehensive for my needs, I've been considering picking up airbrushing, but I live in an apartment. So lacquer is no bueno and there's not much in the way of acrylics with airbrushing, so this actually encourages me to try it. Once I can afford to jump into it😂
I have a similar situation. I have had good luck using AK primer with their thinner. And the mecha color from valejo cut with flow improver. I had to get a spray booth to do the Tamya and Mr hobby Aquios because they had a strong alcohol smell. But i did not need it for the Vallejo. Its so worth getting into. You can build the models of your dreams if you stick with it.
Another great video and this is extremely helpful for me to be honest with you. I recommend you use the one that has the broken arm and a battle diorama
The durability would seem like a big selling point, but sounds like paint will still rub off the moving parts and joints. That’s what dissuaded me when I first dabbled in maybe painting Gunpla kits instead of miniature: Gunpla kits move, and miniatures don’t, and I couldn’t figure out how to not have paint scraping off all the time. I was thinking this or the Mecha paint line were meant to remedy that but maybe not.
Honestly going from hearing this guy calling people on the Internet out on their shit, to giving actual solidly great advice regarding gunpla is jarring. But in the best freaking way!
thanks for the paint review. paint and such is so expensive, with so many lines, it's hard to make a purchase. still not sure how i feel about thw witch series. im afraid to watch it for fear of it going the route of the m-she-u. you paint job is awesome and i do like the arial's design. what do you think of the new series?
I get the idea of making a paint that doesn't need primer, but even if it's functional, I just wouldn't be willing to not prime a kit. It just makes little sense to me, when the results are always better with primer
Hold up...this guy sounds familiar. Anyway, came across this video looking for info regarding these AK Dual Exo paints. I'm new to the Gunpla hobby, but not the model hobby as I build tons of armor and military stuff. I've used AK's Real Colors and Gen 3 paints with decent success. I wish some company made the actual colors to the Gunpla instead of having to mix this and mix that. The closest I've come far are the Aqeous Colors. Laquer and enamel based paints are out for me. My Gf would kill me if I used solvent based paints due to the smell.
Guess I'll be buying these bad boys too start my painting journey unless you've got better recommendations for someone who has never painted models or miniatures #itsagunpla
Thinning acrylics is the worst. I never get it right. It's either not enough and nothing flows right, or too much and it beads up and dosen't get the correct coverage. And what the hell is flow improver??? My lacquer paints don't need that shit.
I really like this Gundams design, it's just beautiful
I agree that the XVX-016 Gundam Aerial is a really nicely designed Gundam.
If you want to see the design fully kitted out, check out RayStudios very chill build video. ruclips.net/video/akrjIMnXNMA/видео.html
The aerial is thiccer than a boal of oatmeal

I know you dont focus on reviews of brands in general however this was very helpful and explanatory while feeling very honest.
Nice one!

I love the outro phrase! I might have to look up some AK metallics while I'm shopping for a new copper paint!
New its a Gunpla makes for a good evening watch. Thanks!
Great video, just what I've been looking for. I'm just starting to look into painting and I have a bunch of kids and animals running around so I think this paint will be a great option for me.
Just about to start painting the Aerial and really like the blue tint in the shade. Might steal that...
This is just awesome dude.
Excellent review. Good job.

You need more recognition on this channel

lacquers will spray better but acrylics are safer with less equipment
I like these better than the mecha paint line.
THERE'S A GUNDAM DOWN HERE!
Interesting... I'll have to check these out.
I need those metallics for my warhammer minis. Thanks for this, Papa G!
It is so frustrating trying to find any paint brand other than Tamiya, Mr Hobby and Vallejo in Australia so I'm sure I will need to import these as well
Another good thing about airbrushing acrylics is that they're usually not flammable and won't turn your paint booth into a flamethrower.
love your edit man!!!

I appreciate this vid. Thanks
Very cool paints! Thanks for this video. Would love to see you do a video for Gundam Epyon! Probably my favorite Gundam next to Unicorn.

This came out really nice!
@xxnike629xx Your own builds might came nice, or even better, if you actually continued in building in the past decade ...
@xxnike629xx instead of quitting in favor of spamming wishlists, P-Bandai ill-wishes, anti-UC, Turn A and G-Reco rants, and hoarding BOXES
I love your channel, you're the best 😁😁
This seems awesome

Love the blue on the aerial! What airbrush would you recommend for a beginner?
Do something with Asuka too please
Honestly going from hearing this guy calling people on the Internet out on their shit, to giving actual solidly great advice regarding gunpla is jarring. But in the best freaking way!
how does this paint series compare to the tamiya line?
Hey is it possible to please ask where you got that skull? its just the right skull I need!
🌻
I wouldn't replace the arm it looks like it just came back from battle just airbrush some damaged spots on the model that would be cool !
Why did the part break? Is it from the paint?
Can't tell if the paints good or if you're just really fuckin good

Remember PapaG, don’t eat the paints, they’re not food coloring.
Sadly, I struggle with any painting and panel lining due to shaking hands. The special metal stickers are a lot easier for me to handle.
Gundam wants some of dat corrupting yuri money.
uwu

#itsagunpla
pretty cool but excessive. Any color you want a lighter tone variant, just add a drop or 3 of white into your cup
Makes everything chalky and pastel looking
@@ninjatango then you're not thinning your paint enough...
You kinda sound like itsagundam
🆒🆒

I hear you!
depends on the brand for me, Tamiya seems pretty easy but mr hobby acrysion is extremely temperamental to how it needs to be thinned.
hi
I love the design of the Aerial. Too bad I can't stand the amount of nonsense the show has.
dude learn to pin shit
there is extremely limited plastic to work with in that area to pin also it was a test piece not something I was passionate about.
