what a trip...as much as i love the record ( and i really love it) when played live the songs became...well..alive...for a half an hour is like entering in a state of trance..don't miss it..you won't regret it..
The mix on this is extraordinary. The Eraser is a special album for me, but I never dived too deep on AMOK. However, these live performances of tracks from AMOK are adding so much depth for me in this performance. What an incredible show. If this is what Atoms for Peace are capable of then I'll have more of it. And finally, this is the definitive version of 'The Clock,' sorry to the previous title holder, live on The Henry Rollins Show, you were hard to beat.
Beautifully said. I highly recommend checking out the album!! Judge, Jury, and Executioner is a masterpiece. I never got into The Eraser too much aside from Black Swan. Also, Mauro Refosco is a maniac on this album!! Pure wizardry.
Thanks Sound Halo for recording this! By far the best recording of AFP 2013 Tour - I love them all, especially Austin Special Show! Epic Shows by the BEST There IS!
I loved seeing Thom back in 2018 when he toured for the Tomorrow's Modern Boxes album but wow. This is amazing. Atoms For Peace needs to return. They made Thom's songs come alive in a new way... and Amok is an underrated gem of an album that's even better live
I really like the new direction you guys are going with your new sound! It's a little weird and creepy but I understand what you guys are trying to say especially in all the subliminal messages you are putting out, this is some new music that I really dig a lot! This might be the big break you guys have been working so hard for. Take it vantage of your new success and run with it. Do you guys ever perform in the United States? I would love to go to one of your concerts if you ever play on the East Coast of America. Good luck guys and keep following your dream🍻
Atoms for Peace, King Of Limbs, and A Moon Shaped Pool are so overproduced on the albums, it's like Nigel Godrich wanted to mask any human touch. I don't get why Radiohead in recent years has made recording and mixing choices that suck the energy out of the songs. But the live versions are incredible.
Interesting comment, which I happen to agree with. I can only listen to TKOL From The Basement; no idea why it was considered a good idea to drown Thom's lovely voice in weird effects and distortion in the studio. Godrich is a self-described "control freak" and has clashed with others over his production techniques. Perhaps his need to put a personal stamp on the records is too strong. But yeah, the live stuff is amazing.
@@mattrange5439 I agree, TKOL From The Basement is a whole other animal to the album. Apparently TKOL was pretty innovative in it's recording style - they played songs as a band, and then sampled themselves and remixed the performances in a recording program that Jonny Greenwood himself wrote. According to an interview with Ed, The King Of Limbs was never meant to be released as an album, it was truly just an experiment in recording processes. But at a listening party with friends, their friends convinced them to put a record out. It was a very laid back process and I can understand how as a band that everyone expects to release iconic album after iconic album, it would be nice to just release an album that wasn't meant to be the next Kid A or OK Computer.
Firstly, this is amazing. Secondly, I believe that's the most clothes I've ever seen Flea wear.

I really dislike his voice on this recording...
Really? It was one of his better vocal performances for a lot of these songs.
