I love how the devs gave the previous boss the classic qte prompt that most people prefer only to surprise you by giving Sadamoto the new qte prompts from the base game. It fits perfectly with Sadamoto's deceptive personality.

This was the first ever straight up happy ending (unless you count 4), and I'm all for it! Let's go, Kaito!

I count 2. I mean yeah everything leading up to the ending was real crazy intense and emotional. But they reached a good point at the very end lol
So Kaito and Mikiko’s ending with Jun is in essence the alternate scenario for Yakuza 1’s ending should Yumi have survived. You have Sadamoto who is Jingu 2.0. Jingu is the man who wanted to kill anyone who got in his way including his wife Yumi and daughter Haruka. Overall I liked this ending.
Yeah I was surprised they didn't kill Mikiko but I guess the writers thought that be cliché and that would be copying Yakuza 1’s ending so they decide to go for a happy ending

I really do love how this story had a pretty much happy ending for all involved.
Just realized the reason why Kaito gets cut at the beginning of Sadamoto's fight is to ensure that they can have the whole poison thing happen, even if you no-hit the fight.

That’s the reason why they also put the annoying multiple bottoms QTE ( the only fight with those) because most people fail them
Which still doesn't make much sense in a no damage run because after the fight ends, Kaito is seen full of cuts over his body.
Really hope the next game doesn't start with Yagami commenting that Kaito and Mikiko broke up or anything along those lines.
I will never ever fucking forgive yakuza 3 for doing that and I'd never forgive this one too.

Jun would play a similar role of Sugiura, being an adept thief type who helps Kaito and Yagami out and being a young friend to Sugiura himself.
Plus Yagami gets to try some of Mikiko's cooking if they managed to renegotiate Kimitaku's return to the series
@@MrAsaqe from what i read online, it's not Takuya Kimura that is having the issue but his agency. Because of the games being available on PC, they don't want his image to appear on PC games. He's a high profile celebrity & PC games have a lot of possibilities for mods. His agency don't want modders to anything with his character model that may damage his & the agency's public image. But of course, they are only saying that the agency has "strict control over the (likeness) rights of its talents."

True, its nice to see such a happy ending in a Yakuza game. Usually the endings are bittersweet at most, but pretty much everyone involved here got a happy ending, and I'm very glad about that.
It's a sorta happy ending, cause they definitely having challenges ahead together, but I'm sure nothing they can't handle. Hopefully.
Kaoru was meant to be Kiryu's happier ending, after all.
Lost judgment keeping that yakuza trend of having characters being a LOT muscular than their facial models would expect.
Shirakaba being cut is as a surprise as Iwami being the same or Nanba having a beautiful singing voice

I am amazed that the final boss of the game is voiced by none other than yongyea. Props to him didn’t recognize his voice until the credits start rolling.
Wow really didn't know until now I sometime forgot that yongyea also a voice actor
Kyoya has really cool fighting style underhanded would be an understatement his poison gimmick is interesting as well making it seem like you can't lock onto him
And his theme is menacing has the same feeling as Soma's but if Soma sounds like something approaching you slowly Kyoya sounds like it's lingering in the air
His personality is probably a mix of Jingu and Iwami.

Honestly when he regained 5 whole healthbars when I brought him down to 0, I thought this was supposed to be a fight you're meant to lose. I love the ending though, probably one of the most generally happy endings in the Yakuza series.

Man, that was one buff ass doctor at the end. Goes to show that anyone can get those mad gains if they train hard enough. xD
But cool to see we got some classic QTE prompts (single buttons ones rather than a strong) and nice to see Kaito doing a Kiryu in absorbing a punch with his forehead like it's nothing.
Breaking his hand with his forehead was the best moment for me lol

Have to say this was a pretty good continuation of Lost Judgement and I am happy for Kaito here, that and Amun gets to experience what Haruka did with Kiryu…also that was one buff ass doctor.

even his gameplay is similar to Kiryu (his Bruiser Style and Tank is just Kiryu's thug and beast style with few changes)

Agreed! But Majima is Yakuza hence he does not want to put Makoto's life in danger. Whereas Kaito is a civillian, hence he can assure and get to choose to live a peaceful life with Mikiko and Jun.
Just completed the DLC & I gotta say, I agree with everyone. The ending was well deserving. A nice change from a typical harem for the protagonist. Would love for this to stay canon to the story & have Mikiko and Jun involved in Kaito's life. An ongoing happy ending that we all are rooting for in future installments.
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that Sadamoto’s fortune would’ve gone to his wife and son? So now Kaito is in a relationship with a multi-billionaire.

Took me around 10 hours to get all the skills and beat the game.
Maybe not the story, but there are still the minigames.
It took me around 6 hours to do the main story. Probably increases if you suck at the game or like doing the mini games and getting into fights and stuff. But i kinda just steamrolled through the story so that's a good amount for rushing.

I liked Yasukata Shirakaba, a doctor & martial artist. I hope there's mod of him (with shirt & without shirt). Also he reminds me of Ichiban's friend who was disguised as homeless, forgot his name though.🤩🤩🤩👍👍👍

He was powerful af but it would have sucked if he ended up with her in the end.I mean he was still a selfish asshole for keeping her family a secret from her.If the amnesia wouldn't have cured he would have kept her hidden in his house forever.Also nice to be so powerful but then the Lotus gangsters showed up on his doorstep he let Kaito do all the work
@@nushnume He was just making sure to protect Jun by staying close, plus he did obliterate one with a karate kick. They clearly just didn't want to show how he's actually strong as fuck a bit too early.
So if Kaito's DLC success then the next Judgment 3 might get interesting with various minigames related with Kaito doing basic stuff to keep his family but only if they decide to give him an actual role while tagging with the gang doing the investigation and maybe the introduction of Sugiura and Higashi as playable characters (also when Higashi mentioned expanding his business on Ichinjo we night get another Major plot there)
Jun also seems a good character being part of the sequel but with his own story as a High scooler gangster attitude.
Edit: Shirakaba Is Just a Better version of Hoshino but he went full BALLS OUT! mode

That would be pretty interesting, maybe have Jun be sort of a cop, and hopefully Amasawa comes back as well. Maybe she could work similarly to Tsukumo and be the informant. For Jun, maybe have like the Dojo management thing where Jun and Mikiko teach other kids how to fight and defend themselves. I'll still miss Yagami though.

I love Yagami but I rather he got cut from Judgment Series than have it end due to old people not caught up with the time
It is also sad because I heard that Takuya Kimura (Yagami's Japanese voice actor) love Judgment Series and love voicing Yagami but clear people he is under contract with are set in the stone age

@@bastiisalive i mean not every member back then had tattoos. Also his flashbacks are only 15 years old. So not really close to 88, not only that I think at the time kaito probably wasn't high ranking enough to even get one. I'm not sure exactly how old he was when he joined a family. I might have to go back.
I like to think that he met Ms. Tatsu to get his Tank style. For his bruiser style being so similar to Kiryu's Brawler? Got no explanation
One of his moves’ description says that Kaito heard about a move by the fourth chairman and tried his own spin on the concept
After playing all of the mainline yakuza games and finishing both judgments, I was FULLY convinced that mikiko was gonna die, I kept telling myself “why are they making kaito feel happy just to kill her off” and it kept getting more sad as their bond continued. Towards the end I just KNEW something was gonna happen, but it never did. So happy that Kaito got the ending he deserved in one of my favorite DLC’s of all time.
I was 99% sure they'd do the same BS that some beta NPC would take his girl and/or he'd walk away from her, saying he's not good enough and the same crapola the writers of RGG do to their protagonist, but actually they decided to give a main character some fawking happiness. This put me in tears, BTW. Manly tears.
Poor Kenmochi. I know he killed the Natsumes, but the fact that he feels so guilty definitely makes him sympathetic, and I think killing Kyoya was, in kind of a warped way, his form of redemption for his role in the Natsume Arson.
Yeah, I felt bad for the dude....he wasnt a good dude, but he wasn't heartless. I would have liked to see him in other games.

I like the pattern that in every Judgment game have a crazy, psychotic antagonist. If they ever have a 3rd Judgment, I would like to see how they can top both the villain in this.
Edit: And holy hell if the Final Boss theme in the main game is epic and emotional driven, this guy main theme is also one of it cuz damn is basically Wild Romance 2.0

Loved this DLC the story was so good and the twist was interesting. Happy for Kaito's ending hopefully its not taken back in future installments. Even without Yagami, the Judgement series has so much potential. Most of the side characters are fully fleshed compelling characters. Would love an Amasawa game that mixes Judgement with Bully and Persona. A detective who has to juggle school life would be dope, with companions such as Jun in the game.

Like how the main game had two final bosses, one for the story and one for the protagonist, Sadamoto is the final boss for the story but Shirakaba is Kaito's final boss.

Yeah is around 7 to 10 hours to finish the game. Of course if you go for unlocking all the skills and defeat some special enemies.

honestly I wouldnt be surprised if Soma's ingame model was altered to be sadamota's. Kinda like how they altered the appearance of Hamura in Judgment, or like whats his face from yakuza 4.

This dlc ain't right. He really took home a murderer like.... Turn her in! Happy ending be damned. There is a right way to do things and a wrong. Him taking her home with him is dumb. We should have to option to turn her in or leave her there so she could have a life with Jun by herself in secret. The game is called Lost Judgment and clearly Ryu Ga Gotoku lost their sense of judgement. An okay dlc, but a point less ending no matter if it is "happy".
