She’s a witch!!! I told my husband I was gonna be late for our lunch date because I had something important to do real quick. Not a lie babes. This sh*t IS important. It was either that or I sit and watch it while we eat which I’m not ashamed to say I have done. 😂
A lot of those moms that wear white to their kids wedding are usually pulling a power play. If they are Mother of the Groom, they have a weird obsession with their son and are super possessive of him. If it’s Mother of the Bride, she’s usually a narcissist who hates that her daughter is getting all the attention. Either way, a glass of red wine usually cures these issues.
I need to find something that funny lady Erma Bombeck wrote back in the 70s about weddings. It was about the ways people in the wedding party screw up. Her advice to mother's of the groom was something like, "The mother of the groom's job is to shut up, wear beige, and stay out of the way."

I put a "curse" on a random bitch on public transportation She was mocking my co-worker, who had just found out her daughter died during military service., and I wanted to make sure she got to the subway station safely. Rando looked pissed, but I am six feet tall, and have mastered a death stare. A week later, I see the same rando, and she dashes up to me, begging me to remove the "curse" because she wrecked her car, lost her wallet, and her boyfriend cheated on her. There was no "curse".
Wait, people actually think that story happened? Literally no man on earth would give a flip if someone said they put a crystal in his car. There would never be an argument because he wouldn't be "upset about how he can't stop thinking of her" if anything he'd be upset that his girlfriend is delusional, lol.

My mom was in an abusive relationship and he treated her like a object to make himself look better. They were going to a wedding and he picked out a white dress for her to wear, it was a cocktail dress so at least not a full length dress but to this day she thinks about how embarrassing it was to wear a white dress to a wedding.
How about this: if there's a woman at a wedding wearing white and is NOT the bride, have EVERYONE walk up to her at random times congratulating her but with these wishes:
"Congratulations! I'm so glad you were able to find love at your age!"
"Congratulations and it looks like just in time!!" And pat the tummy
For the MILs, "Congratulations!! You finally married your son!!"
And maybe accidentally give someone a glass of red wine. And a talented video editor change her dress color into something that blends into the background. Or make it a hideous color.
And spill a little red wine or other dark beverage on her dress. Not a lot. Just like a spritz and say it's the tradition to bring her good fortune in marriage . She'll be forced to either fess up, change her dress & hope no one notices, or spend the rest of the evening getting spritzed with wine.

Even Queen Elizabeth trained as a driver and mechanic during WW2, apparently she was quite good at it. She paid for the material for her wedding dress out of ration coupons she had saved.

She was a genuine badass!
She was given extra coupons by the government though so she still had a more expensive dress than anyone would have had. It was designed for her and handmade, out of Chinese silk and embroidered, with 10.000 seed pearls, almost all material imported from China and the US. Like, fun story but still an expensive one-of-a-kind designer dress. They basically could have just given her regular money instead of coupons because they added a bunch of extra coupons vs what a normal person's ration would have been. For reference, 11 coupons were the equivalent of one dress, 5 for women's shoes and 2 for stockings. At the start in 1941 everyone was given 66 coupons per year but by 1945/46 it had gone down to about 3/month. New mothers were given 50. So she got 4x what a new mother got for clothing her baby, just for a wedding dress. Those extra 200 coupons were an extravagant amount in 1947 when she was married.
This is't some kind of gotcha moment and I'm not saying she even cared about or asked for an expensive dress in the firdt place because I'm assuming she didn't really make that decision. I just think it's interesting putting into some perspective because just saying 'ration coupons' makes it sound like she has to save up herself when she didn't. It's just extra money she was allocated by the government in the form of coupons.

@@marlyd With the Queens wedding cake i do know that regular English woman were sharing their rations for sugar and butter and flour so that she could have a large cake. I am not sure if the same thing happened for her dress or not.
If I saw anyone at a wedding wearing a white dress that wasn’t the bride, I would have no problem telling everyone to go up to her and congratulate her. Congratulate her over and over to make a point. She’ll crack eventually and will never wear a white dress again.

As someone who has lost a sister, for shame on that girl. Careful what you wish for hunny, trust me when I say, you definitely don't actually want that reality.
Lmao I had an ex-bf who straight up lied to me about his dad dying for attention. I believed it at first, but then his mom mentioned him (his parents were divorced). That relationship didn't last very long. Lying and narcissism are easy ways to get me to cut you out of my life.
Tammy forgot a few things: 1) She has no babies! She has two toddlers, a kindergartner and a second grader. 2) She forgot to pay the sitter for gas to run around getting errands done and picking up her children from school. 3) She forgot to add another zero to that $200 a week, smh. No way would a person holding a Master's Degree in any field of study agree to watch four children for that little measly amount of money. That divides out to $50 a head! Six hours a day, M-F, is 30 hours a week. Multiply that by $50 a head equals a lot more than $200 a week, lady, plus, the sitter would have to have a second job to compensate for this cheap woman. 4) Somebody wants a little me time during the hours of 12-6 pm M-F. This woman is obviously not a working mother. Even if she worked from home, she would still have to pay out a lot more than $200 a week. I'm not good at math, but even I could figure this one out.
Plus, the ad said “ occasional weekends”. Didn’t mention more pay for that.

Apparently back in high school I broke up with my first boyfriend and told him I put a curse on him (I was starting to get into the occult during this time and he knew that). There was a posting for a job that was for a history tutor for a 16 yr old here in Ohio and the requirements were insane and the mom who listed it said it paid 14 an hour for 5 -7 days a week for a few hrs a day. She wanted multiple professional references, she wanted not just a masters, but a P H D 😂 They said it was a requirement, non-negotiable, that they had to be a graduate of Yale or Harvard and she wanted them employed as a History professor at a college and lastly, they had to submit an essay. I was laughing for a good straight 15 minutes. I was perusing the tutoring jobs near me because my spouse wanted to get a few extra dollars on the weekend to help pay off some debt after a few unfortunate events and this gem caught my eye because I went to school for history and art history and I wanted to see what it entailed. I debated about sending a message to send them back to reality with a “hey, heads up, a history professor with a PHD who went to Harvard is probably not looking for a minimum wage job that pays just 400 ish dollars max a week,” but I let it slide…I wanted to see how long it will be up 😆

Chicken biryani is delicious. We had it at my wedding. It's an Indian rice dish that's so beautifully spiced. Traditionally, it's served with some kind of chutney.
My sister-in-law wore a white dress that looked like a wedding dress to my wedding! I am reminded of this every time I look at my wedding album. And they are divorced now.

for all my girlies (or guys and enbies) going through a break up or just lonely i have THE tip for you, grab a long pillow or put two pillows in a long pillow case (or you can stuff some bigger clothes with cotton/blankets if you're feeling extra) and grab a heating pad, put the heating pad near the "chest area" of your pillow/s and cuddle away, it feels genuinely nice and almost like you have someone else there with you (sorry this was such a long comment!)
