Hi Everyone! This is what I ended up purchasing. Neewer 2-in-1 Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod. amzn.to/3UvdDGP This has worked great for my needs when using the Laser level.
I know this is late to the party, but if you tighten the middle rod/housing the laser won't fall/slide down. You won't even need to tighten the lock nut. I'm not thrilled with the tripod either. Cheaply built. The hand crank broke off the other day on me. 👎
Thanks for the review, but I think honestly in that price range most of the ones I’ve looked at. I may not have looked at the mall. I’ve built pretty much the same way with different branding, did you happen to come up with a heavy duty version that would hold up to professional use? I’m not sure if you’ve done a review on one or not but if you have, could you post the link to your video or if you know of any thanks
I am still looking for one with a decent tripod head that isn’t cheap plastic. I have been using one of my camera tripods and it has been working for what I’m using it for. The search continues. 🧐
The crank adjuster that moves it up and down will not hold the weight of my laser because it is stripped out. So that is a feature that really is not a feature!
Depends on how much you are looking to spend. Dewalt, Makita and Milwaukee are good choices. Hilti is another good one but a bit pricey. On a budget, I have not tested it but I think I might have to. Is Harbor Freights Bauer laser level.
you don't really beleave that Milwaukee build that. Its the same black basic Tripod with an red Milwaukee cap. I have the same from Bosch that has the Logo on all Legs.. Its the same basic noname tripod from amazon
No it doesn’t. At first I thought it was me not tightening down the wing nuts on the tripod. Nope, it’s the tripod 😂. The pin has to much play on that holds the head in place.
Thanks for good info. I bought the DeWalt equivalent. DO NOT BUY THE DEWALT equivalent, it's even worse. After a couple of uses, the leg extension camps came apart and its un-fixable. This issue put me in a bind and made me so mad, I'll never, ever buy anything DeWalt again.
@@emiliolopez6031 Neewer 2-in-1 Aluminum Alloy Camera Tripod . amzn.to/3Fm7Qiu It works great for what I'm using it for and it comes with a protective bag.
The top seems super loose mine is not that bad I know I had to tighten down the nut on top to stop it from wobbling so much if you roll the top one way you will see the nut I’m talking about still not super sturdy for the price of the level you are putting on there but might make it more usable until you find a nicer one
exactly the same as the dewalt one,how can they justify that price, you could use a camera tripod at a tenth of the cost, any work near outside and the tripod shakes like mad,its utter rubbish a bit like there table saw stand
I was actually going to say this is Not exclusive to Milwaukee and I’m not defending them but honestly this is pretty typical construction for all tripod laser levels @ the same price point Dewalt, Bosch, Huepar, ect. Almost the identical same design and the same issues I don’t know why? I was actually considering picking up the Bauer from Harbor freight which is a little more rigid for 30 bucks.
Same thoughts here on how cheap that thing is made. The little clip/wing nut on the removable mount piece that attaches to the laser recently came off on mine and it won't stay back on. That entire removable piece is garbage. Mine does seem a little more stable than you showed with everything tightened down but overall I'm not satisfied with it either. I have an old 80s Archer tripod that makes the Milwaukee one look like it was made by fisher price.
I purchase it and was also incredibly disappointed. I couldn’t believe how crappy it is. Just insanely junky for the price and should cost no more than $20. I can’t believe Milwaukee actually approved this product.

Hi Phillip…So this Neewer tripod you got on Amazon works great with the Milwaukee 3plane laser level?

Thanks, I was about to get it but I’ll just keep the Bosch I already have
Thank you for your honesty.
Thanks 🙏🏻💪🏻👏🏻

What tripod would you recommend for the Milwaukee then ?
Great review btw

The one I got today is complete junk, the quick release locking plate spring broke removing the plate.
The crank adjuster that moves it up and down will not hold the weight of my laser because it is stripped out. So that is a feature that really is not a feature!
I read the dewalt tripod is a good replacement for that laser. Thoughts?
Wow, I was just about to order it. I’m glad I saw your video 😢😢. I really wanted the malwalkee but I guess it’s crappy
Go with a video tripod. Works so much better and it’s stable. 😀
😢 Very late for me, I already ordered and it almost arrived
Is there an aftermarket laser that you recommend? Preferably one that can fit in a packout box

Glad I watched this before buying the tripod for my Lazer!
Yes! Don’t buy it. Lol. I ended up buying a video tripod on Amazon. $75. Works great.

Good review sir, make no sense to have a wobbly laser level!

I ended up just buying another video tripod for the laser. It works perfect for what I need on jobs.
WHAT TRI-POD DID YOU END UP BUYING

Every brand has its lemons. Don’t be too hard on Dewalt.

100% agree with you. I just can’t believe they put there name on this and charge that price.

😂 I thought the same thing. This is a kids tripod.
same here fell apart :(

It is almost comparable to Amazons cheapest tripod 😂. Which is $10.99
Yeah...that doesn't look very good
