  • Stay tuned for the second competition of the #FWT23 in Ordino Arcalis, Andorra! The competition is confirmed for Thursday, February 2nd at 9:20AM CET.
    Following an explosive event in Spain, the FWT heads to neighboring Andorra for the second stop of the season. FWT organizers have decided to extend the event window by considering a possible competition day on Thursday, February 2.
    This is primarily due to the weather forecast, with a forecasted increase in temperature over the weekend. This makes Thursday and Friday the best possible days to consider for the greatest chance of optimizing snow and weather conditions and, ultimately, offering the safest environment for freeriding.

    I mean first of all its nice that nobody got hurt. Congrats to Valle, so nice he won a stop, it is really a bittersweet win for him, such a sad story, Rest in peace to his friend!
    I think judging was fine overall, personally i have the Podium in a different order, but i dont really know the judging criteria so its hard to understand the reasoning. Goduen had the best Comeback in a run i ever saw, so fun to watch! Honestly still was kinda surprised about his score with that crash. Maximes run was insane as well, cant really understand were he lost so many points. And Ross overall just super clean and stylish, really liked his run.

    Hey FWT I think I can speak for everyone when is say this just isn't the same as last year. It was so fun too see riders throw down amazing lines and get great scores and really control and style and fluidity just doesn't matter that much it has turned into a strict sport with to many nit picks and rules it needs to go back to being free and ski how they like with freedom and send. please read this and consider deducting the amount of impact control and style has on a run.

      I mean he did almost the same run as the year before and it wasn’t as steep/ gnarr as the others. Also a control issue at the top. So i get where you are coming from but i think the judging is fair. Just like max hitzig did an amazing run with beautiful airs but didn’t podium because if his fluidity… would argue that finn bilous should have podium though

    • @rydenkaye9735
      @rydenkaye9735 Год назад +1

      not really. If you look at just the numbers of rotations sure but his technique wasn't as stylish his 7 was low amplitude and the double backie was kinda wild. and some of the massive backies we saw from the other riders at speed and off harder takeoffs are more technical than a double

    • @saxonski6146

      @@saxonski6146 no actually a massive single backie at high speed off a negative slope takeoff is harder higher risk and more consequence . specifically from this comp the one at 2:58:15 if you mess that one up you're taking a way harder hit, its more tech because of the negative slope takeoff,

      Any of these. I think what make them stand out is the fluidity and hugeness from riding the baseline without all the speed checks. When they smoothly link feature after feature it's the best. I think Maxime Shabloz, Tester, or Rainer. All were amazing. If Goguen didn't have the sit down, his would have been in contention.
