What tcgs that I didn't talk about here should I check out? Which would you like more videos for? 🤔 Thanks for watching! Any and all support is vastly appreciated 🍻
@@RedZoneRogue The game is based on the nostalgia of the TCGs we all likely grew up playing: Pokemon, Yugioh, MtG and Hearthstone. The artworks are modern with lots of references to other franchises. It helps people relate to the game more. :)
What are your thoughts on Battle Spirits Saga? I'm absolutely loving it but for whatever reason the scene seems to be dying already and I don't understand why when it genuinely seems so loved.
The big 3 will always have a place in my heart as these were the games I grew up with. But aside from the 3, I also play FaB, One Piece, and Vanguard. I am also getting into Grand Archive and SVE.
i need to try Flesh and Blood still, but yeah as far as card games go, Shadowverse Evolved has been my favorite tcg so far, it is such a blast and i hope they try to catch us up to the Japanese sets, so we eventually get the release of new sets simultaneously! Grand archive is a TCG that i am still learning and havent actually played yet, but i love collecting it! i miss the good days of Force of Will, (mainly before they changed the card layout, i havent really been keeping up with it, but i do miss how fun that game was!) but amazing video! Vanguard and Digimon are popular in my area so those are 2 TCGs i may end up giving a shot soon too.
My main game is Dragon Ball Super. Partially due to your channel I picked up GA and recently bought a FaB blitz deck. Probably going to stick with only 2 TCGs to maximize my money and time though.
Love the video man! I’ve had to pause on the other TCGs to focus on FaB. I’ve been doing quite well and playing in a pro quest next month! Thanks for the great content man!
I love Shadowverse Evolve. Its very fun and the art work is beautiful. I just finished getting what I needed for Advent of Genesis. I got a one of each card from bronze to legend in a binder and a complete three card set of them as well. Waiting for Reign of Bahamut set to release now.
Great selection! FaB has been my main for the last 3 years & I always said I’d never pick up another TCG… Then I saw Shadowverse on your channel and totally got sucked into that one too!!
I am absolutely loving grand archive! The game is so much more complex than it initially seems. My main struggle has been adjusting to the pace of the game since you arent hard capped on resources like many other games, but I enjoy it a ton
I'll finally start my FAB path, just picked up one box of DTD and decided to build Vynnset! Now it's just assemble the remaining pieces into a Blitz deck and I'm good to go Imma also try to pick some Digimon cards because I love the game
I recently sold my MTG collection and I've been playing Pokemon TCG because its so much cheaper and the community vibes is better. Otherwise, I'm trying to get back in to FAB. This summer I've been soo soo busy. I had every intention of getting judge L1 certified but just got really busy! I tried modern Yugioh this summer with a friend who plays a bunch and it was fun! The learning curve is just super duper steep between learning cards + interactions + strategies. Also, as I get older and need glasses, its really hard to read Yugioh's text haha If I had more people to play in person, I would try out one of the Bandai Namco card games (One Piece, Digimon, Battle Spirits Saga), but none of my TCG friends have any interest.
Im all in on Shadowverse Evolve, its my favorite game right now. I do play Pokemon on occasion but mostly retro and Japanese formats such as hall of fame.
Dear God, I can't imagine playing more than one TCG game at a time, let alone having a LGS that supports it. Maybe you live in a NYC, CHI, Dallas, LA, etc, but my city of 700k only has one LGS that runs FAB, and 2 (maybe more?) that run one piece. There are 3 that jumped on the lorcana bandwagon, but yet to be seen if that grabs hold. Of course there like a dozen stores running weekly MTG events. Also, I litterally don't have the time - two kids in sports. I'm lucky if I get 1-2 nights to go play at a LGS. Money isn't too much of a cobsern for one game... But 5?!?! You must be Loaded my friend!
For TCG I play Battle Spirits Saga, and I also play Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn as an Expandable Card Game. The online community for Ashes is just amazing
On the one piece card art, the Starters tended to have anime screen shots but the booster box sets have tons of original art that is amazing and it isn't just limited to SR higher. edit: oh yeah, Currently playing FaB (Arakni stan), MtG, and just started One Piece
Dude, you have no idea how much I wanna play some GLC. And the One Piece card game has been very fun. I was actually never wanting to have anything to do with it cause of the anime screenshot nonsense. But, a friend of mine taught me to play it and I had too much fun with it. Plus, I really love seeing the colorized manga shots a lot and the original art is phenomenal
A+ selection of card games my dude. You definitely gotta check out Digimon if you hold any nostalgia for it, the memory system and inherited effects are innovative, and it’s fast-paced and swingy. Very fun casual game to pick up, very affordable, and has all the cool alt treatments that Bandai is famous for.
@@RedZoneRogue I think One Piece is going through similar supply issues, but Digimon has pretty much resolved those. Digimon is generally widely available and easy for LGS to access at MSRP. It’s one of the few games my local Target gets in stock consistently, but only a few LGS in my area run events for it. I’m admittedly a few sets behind the meta, but I have fun every time I play! Building a casual deck is as easy as buying two of the same (recent) starters and combining them to have a stronger high-level finisher ratio.
I tried the One Piece TCG recently because it’s really popping off in my are and it’s super fun. It seems like newer sets are also moving away from the anime s red shots and do way more original art. I think that was more of a thing for the first two sets. It’s actually making me move away from FAB due to easier access to multiple stores where people play it in my area and the pries of top decks are significantly cheaper than FAB. I also started to hate the card rarity system in FAB. Oh and Commander I will probably always play. To me still the best multiplayer format of any TCG.
I only have time once a week to go out and play a card game. Once Lorcana came out and my son liked to play it, I now use that one time a week to go out and play Lorcana.
My top 4 card games I am currently playing are.. 1. Flesh and Blood (Blitz format. ♥ Bravo) 2. Pokemon (Gym leader challenge format only. So much better than standard!) 3. Magic (Pioneer, Modern, Pauper, Commander) 4. One Piece (Have not played much of it but it is so easy to learn and get into)
I play all of these (not so much MTG though) - but the other card games (not TCGs) that have also left a great impression on me over the years are Game of Thrones 2nd ed. LCG, Android Netrunner LCG and Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn - if you haven't tried them you really should.
The game I've been doing some light research on is Zombie World Order. It sucks that most of my searches, Google thinks I'm asking for the YuGiOh zombie world deck. I love the mechanics introduced in ZWO: having to attack a creature twice to actually destroy it, any card can be used as resource and also flipping the resource face down to bring the creature back from almost dying. On the flipside, for being a zombie fan, I wasn't really fond of the artwork and how everything is zombies...I know, it's dumb. I see what Bandai were going for, but it just wasn't for me. The artwork and the card quality are what stopped me from ordering some cards. Now the game I'm currently into at the moment is Digimon. I like the inheritable traits passed on through the digi-line of different Digimon. It opens up for different combinations and interactions and I'm all for it. But my favorite mechanic is easily the security. Having to reveal a card to see if anything happens is pretty exciting. I only have one deck built, but my other two decks are almost done. Been checking the mail like a madlad.
Eyoooo Alpha Clash!! I just played a demo yesterday and it's now my absolute favorite game. The basic core rules isn't as unique as some other games, it's basically dragon ball super fused with MtG. But to me, it's the perfect fusion between jtcg gameplay and wtcg gameplay. It a feelsgoodman to play, it's a very defensive game, and it feels super fair.
I moved to a rural town. With only a stagnant local scene of commander. So ive been collecting instead. Waiting on SS4 Goku deck in Mail. Also got some new Poker cards. Picked up a Violet trainer box , still havent opened it. Also got and played a match with a Mickey/moana starter deck.
Only playing two games these days, Commander in MtG if I want a longer game, Blitz in FaB when I want shorter games. My best friend did pick up a pair of One Piece demo decks though, so I really do want to check that out as well. Also, what happened to Wixoss? You were going pretty hard on that one for a while, and while I never played it (no local interest/availability whatsoever here), I always loved your openings because the cards look awesome.
Thank you for the video, really appreciate it! Just curious what TCG would you recommend for someone who really wants to start new but also learn it and be able to compete on a competitive, nationals level and being able to travel around to compete? Thank you
I've kind of soured a bit on MTG for many reasons so I've sold a lot of my cards that don't fit into Pioneer or EDH and I've started looking for a different main card game to engage with. I'm an early adopter and continued fan of FaB but I struggle to engage with it casually and I have little interest in its (IMO) very generic setting. I like Sorcery and have several decks but in Australia, especially in Queensland, it's very hard to find people to play with beyond my friends and family I can force lol. At the moment I've started getting back into Pokemon after almost two decades of not playing and the first time as a grown adult, and I really like it so far, that said I pref multiplayer formats so I've been brewing up a 4 player Doubles format to my taste XD. I'm definitely interested in Grand Archive and I've kept up with your videos on it, but I'm a little hesistant to get into it for financial reasons and because I'm still a little unsure if I'll like the gameplay, same goes for One Piece tbh.
Alpha Clash and Flesh and blood are the main games on my table. But I really would like to play more Digimon as well. It has an interesting set af game mechanics, very unlike other games I play.
You should for sure check out the one piece tcg, set 4 is coming out soon and you can build a competitive deck for the new leader rebecca with just new cards. Also with the screenshot art that was basically just in the first starter decks. Would love to see a video with your thoughts if you do try the game!
during the years i played : pokemon maple story, yugioh, world of warcraft, dragon ball, turtles tcg, dual masters, star wars tcg (wizards), harry potter tcg, and maybe two more i dont remember now (yes i tried magic, no i didnt like it), and so far, my favs are star wars dual masters yugioh but harry potter ,turtles and maple story was surprisingly good as well
Loving Shadowverse so far, but really want to get into Grand Archive. I was a backer and there are local players, but the tournament is like mid week at 2pm. I work full time so I will never make it :(
I have 2 whole separate "How to Start Playing" videos that go really in depth for both of those games and the best/easiest ways to start playing - the super short tldw is that the starter decks are all really good and a great way to start - especially the Grand Archive Recollection decks since they're super competitive right out of the box and have crazy value. Set 1 for both games also have tons of great staples if you wanna open packs
@@RedZoneRogue I’ll check out the videos you have for the games thanks for the response. Where can I find the Grand Archive Recollection decks? Those sound interesting and especially if I can just get a few of those for a while tell I’m sure about the game. I’m fine opening box’s/packs however if theirs decent prebuilt decks for both games? I’d like to start their to get the feel for the games. I’m quite board with vanguard and Weiss Schwartz atm so I was looking for something different
Digimon is really good if you haven't tried it. In my opinion it's a good mix of Yu-Gi-Oh and magic while being it's own thing and paying great attention to the source material, while being very new comer friendly
Playing Shadowverse on the PC. I’ve also been working on Kryptik, which is a good game. Been trying MetaZoo, but that game has a ton of hate in my area.
My favorite card tcgs atm are 1. MTG (only commander format) 2. yugioh (competitive player) and 3. idk I guess I occasionally play smash up if that counts. Ngl only other card game I really tried was pokemon and standard magic and they are cool for like a week (no hate just not interesting)
Those I know and play are good games. Only game missing from the list is Digimon. It has some interesting fixes for other games shortcomings. And it's not just the resource system that is good. 😉 The evolution of creatures feels much better than Pokémons, the tempo and preparation on each turn, is a step up I comparison with Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic. At least in my humble opinion Oh! And Alpha Clash is a great addition for 2023 👍
The problem with TCG's is most people can barely afford to play one (to its full potential) let alone multiple... and that's a damn shame really and a huge flaw of the business model used.
Shadowverse has became my main game, mostly by accident but also because it is awesome. Kinda fell off F&B tbh. MTG is eternal in spite of itself. Wixoss is probably my next favorite out of the dark horse category. Yugioh and Pokemon and Weiss are all on the backburner again for now for me.
I made a couple videos way back when Digimon TCG first launched. I thought the starters were pretty fun but it was very hard to get product. I've heard that it's gotten better since then
Little bit of magic, little bif of FaB, and i unfortunately almost never get to play grand archive since i don't know anyone else who plays it *pepehands*
What card games am I playing...... Currently playing: Magic The Gathering Commander only since 2011(played since 2002) Yugioh 2002-2006 then 2018 onwards Pokemon on and off since 2002 Flesh and Blood since Arc (Guardian main) Digimon and One Piece every now and again ....... ....... Previously played Dragonball set 1-7 then got sick of it Final Fantasy only really played start decks World of Warcraft TCG until they pulled the plug on it Duel Masters 1st and 2nd set ....... ....... I think I have a problem.
Hey I’m new to your channel and love your videos. We are in the early stages of creating a new TCG and was wondering if we could get in contact with you?
I’m surprised that Sorcery was left as a mention when you did so many videos saying how it was your favourite game and so much hyped, what changed ?? 🤔
Nothing has changed. FAB has been my favorite game for years (though Shadowverse is getting up there). I genuinely love Sorcery but it didn't make this list for the reasons mentioned in the video. I'd also like to note that the retail relaase of the game has not even happened yet and I can't recommend people pick up KS product at the prices they're currently at. We'll talk about the beta release on the channel when it happens!
You had me until one piece being one of my favorite animes ... The card game is not for me FAB and magic 100% retired from Yugi.... Pokemon only when my lady wantse to play. FaB I need to try a few home brews before passing judgement. Magic is by far my top their game to go too...if they can stop with the crazy price hikes. I am gonna be looking into Alpha tho first I've heard of it. Thank you for the idea and information!
Just a question: If you love card games in general, why are you playing TCGs exclusively? Do you find any interest in Expandable Card Games or Living Card Games, games that do not require players to gamble for cards or pay high prices for good cards? I think Exceed, Ashes Rise of the Phoenixborn are just some of few LCGs with incredible gameplay and depth. I understand if your channel focused on TCGs only, but just curious if you have any experience or interest with non-TCGs card games
I don't mind them but also don't think they're any less expensive than a tcg in the long run. In fact - several years into an lcg - you have to buy so many expansions just to get the few cards you actually want it can be MORE expensive than some tcgs were you can just buy singles. That's with the FFG model, games like Varia are a bit different though Personally I'm a HUGE fan of Arkham Horror lcg and own just about everything for it. Some of my most viewed videos are Arkham Horror haha 😅
@@RedZoneRogue That only applies, if you don´t want to own every card there is (or some variant of it). I have several completed FFG LCGs and they each cost me as much as I spend for FAB in 1-2 months :D As a collector/completionist the cost difference of these two models is in another galaxy
@@RedZoneRogue that's an interesting take. LCGs can be expensive but it's nothing compared to TCGs, and there is a huge different amount of content you get for the same price. It could cost more than a thousand dollar to own every cards in AH lcg, but that amount wouldn only get you the cards in 1 tcg set. Because you like anime girls an deck building, I highly suggested trying out Sakura Arms. It has some of the most interesting and innovative mechanics I've ever seen (and cute waifu too) What I'm trying to say is card games are more than just tcgs, more than just summoning creatures and playing spells. I have played all the games you listed in this top 5 except for Shadowverse evolve, and they are indeed really good card games. But I found there are so much more interesting experiences to be found if one venture out the realm of tcgs
@Zarfin I speak from the perspective of a player who just wants to play. Not having a singles market for lcgs is rough, especially when the expansions you need are in short print. Collecting full sets is another thing entirely haha
@RedZoneRogue yes it is there also lord of vermilion but idk if anyone plays that over here in the US. It's been in Japan for yrs. I also play ragnabreak but that too is I'm just. Very good mobile tcg.
What tcgs that I didn't talk about here should I check out? Which would you like more videos for? 🤔
Thanks for watching! Any and all support is vastly appreciated 🍻

I'm definitely interested in Grand Archive and I've kept up with your videos on it, but I'm a little hesistant to get into it for financial reasons and because I'm still a little unsure if I'll like the gameplay, same goes for One Piece tbh.
Have you seen the star wars unlimited tcg coming out next year? Probably going to pick it as my second tcg.
Yeah! I'll likely try it out once it drops officially
I'm playing Ashes Reborn, NISEI Netrunner, Epic, and Sorcerer.
I'm playing one piece, digimon, and I just started playing shadowverse evolve.
Now I'm just playing one piece and then I'll also be playing union arena when it comes out.
Would love to see a video with your thoughts if you do try the game!
during the years i played :
pokemon
maple story,
yugioh,
world of warcraft,
dragon ball,
turtles tcg,
dual masters,
star wars tcg (wizards),
harry potter tcg,
and maybe two more i dont remember now (yes i tried magic, no i didnt like it), and so far, my favs are
star wars
dual masters
yugioh
but harry potter ,turtles and maple story was surprisingly good as well
What about Pokemon
this year i playing SVE, one piece, vanguard, pokemon, digimon, BSS
Loving Shadowverse so far, but really want to get into Grand Archive. I was a backer and there are local players, but the tournament is like mid week at 2pm. I work full time so I will never make it :(
MetaZoo and Lorcana!
No Cardfight vanguard ? And where do you get the Shadowverse singles ?
What’s the best and easiest way to get into grand Archive and shadow verse?
I have 2 whole separate "How to Start Playing" videos that go really in depth for both of those games and the best/easiest ways to start playing - the super short tldw is that the starter decks are all really good and a great way to start - especially the Grand Archive Recollection decks since they're super competitive right out of the box and have crazy value. Set 1 for both games also have tons of great staples if you wanna open packs
@@RedZoneRogue
I’ll check out the videos you have for the games thanks for the response.
What’s your list for grand archive ?
If you have not tried it, you should try the universus card game. It's by far my favorite card game.
I'll actually have some Universes content coming soon!
Question about the shadowverse leader cards, do you sleeve them before putting them in a mini snap case?
Nah I just put em in there naked 😅 sleeves don't fit them well
Digimon is really good if you haven't tried it. In my opinion it's a good mix of Yu-Gi-Oh and magic while being it's own thing and paying great attention to the source material, while being very new comer friendly
And there's only gonna be more, I promise. Even if I have to make it happen.
Also, I'm a big fan of obscure tcg's
One piece and FaB. I want to get into grand archive but no scene in canada
I have really been liking one piece. It feels like a mix of flesh and blood with Weiss Schwarz.
Which top loaders do you use for the flesh and blood cards?
Those are ultra pro snap fits!
Alpha clash is the way to go ppl. Just sooo refreshing
Can you share your Tristan deck ?
If you had to rate sorcery among them then where would you put it?
#1!
Metazoo to the moon 🚀
To the 🗑
Playing Shadowverse on the PC. I’ve also been working on Kryptik, which is a good game. Been trying MetaZoo, but that game has a ton of hate in my area.
Uh, one piece is really fun, didn’t expect it at all, got the first 4 decks (with fitting sleeves👌 although they are bad🙈) and they play amazing ❤
Did you stop playing Wixoss?
Love gym leader challenge
Still love yugioh myself
FAB
Worldbreakers! It’s the best. 😃
At least in my humble opinion
Oh! And Alpha Clash is a great addition for 2023 👍
I had fun with Digimon when I covered it when it first came out! Haven't really touched it since then though
I don't blame you, SVE is legit 👌
alpha clash tcg is big here in the Philippines!
That's really cool, I didn't know that!
You forgot about the Digimon TCG
And have you ever heard of the Chaotic TCG? Supposedly, that card game is being rebooted 😊
I made a couple videos way back when Digimon TCG first launched. I thought the starters were pretty fun but it was very hard to get product. I've heard that it's gotten better since then
Alpha Clash 🫶
Little bit of magic, little bif of FaB, and i unfortunately almost never get to play grand archive since i don't know anyone else who plays it *pepehands*
All these are cool looking games. Might pickup shadowverse at some point when i have the extra disposable income :3
What card games am I playing......
Currently playing:
Magic The Gathering Commander only since 2011(played since 2002)
Yugioh 2002-2006 then 2018 onwards
Pokemon on and off since 2002
Flesh and Blood since Arc (Guardian main)
Digimon and One Piece every now and again
.......
.......
Previously played
Dragonball set 1-7 then got sick of it
Final Fantasy only really played start decks
World of Warcraft TCG until they pulled the plug on it
Duel Masters 1st and 2nd set
.......
.......
I think I have a problem.
If you like deck building I highly suggest Dragon Ball Super: Masters
No Lorcana?
Hey I’m new to your channel and love your videos. We are in the early stages of creating a new TCG and was wondering if we could get in contact with you?
Grand Archive is such a good game
That's with the FFG model, games like Varia are a bit different though
Personally I'm a HUGE fan of Arkham Horror lcg and own just about everything for it.
It has some of the most interesting and innovative mechanics I've ever seen (and cute waifu too)
What I'm trying to say is card games are more than just tcgs, more than just summoning creatures and playing spells.
@@DuelingMaru I already own Sakura Arms - both the original AEG print and the newer versions. I have so much more than tcgs ;)
ONE PIECEEEEEE
If funny that alot people's don't know shadowverse came from rage of bahumat. And yes I still play that mobile game. But it's in japanese
I'm a huge fan of Granblue Fantasy, Rage of Bahamut and Shadowverse! Great stuff
@RedZoneRogue yes it is there also lord of vermilion but idk if anyone plays that over here in the US. It's been in Japan for yrs. I also play ragnabreak but that too is I'm just. Very good mobile tcg.
One piece looks fun to ay
Flesh and Blood, Magic: the Gathering, Pokemon, Lorcana currently are my mainstays- looking to pick up Digimon at some point.
Lore
