I like the bouillon cubes better than buying chicken broth too because sometimes a recipe doesn’t call for a giant container of broth, it is also way cheaper.
Wow, when my children were at home these were the exact same items I had as well. I kept my flour and corn meal in the freezer. I was a single mom so I totally get the ramen lol. I made a lot of casserole dishes, and snuck in fiber into my famous meatloaf. Feeding a family at home takes consistently and planning and sometimes as mom we wear so many hats that dinner and our health can often take a back seat. So an occasional unhealthy meal is allowed. Great video 💝
I have finally started using crockpot liners and could kick myself for not doing it sooner. They’re wonderful. I’m getting older and those crocks can be so heavy to hold up and rinse under the faucet and these liners are my new best friend. Love your channel 😊
FANTASTIC VIDEO!!!!!! I love the pantry “basic” concept. I battle anxiety and this was a soothing presentation! I’ve watched some “prepper” videos and they exacerbate my anxiety. I love their thinking but get way too overwhelmed (and catastrophize too much). Anyhoo.....,fantastic video!!!!!
I heard about in jam or cheap meal is 1 can pinto beans and 1 can northern beans over rice or pasta if have it some cornbread.. It's great and frugal .
I absolutely love your personality so down to earth. Share your secrets girl keeping it all together I wonder when times get rough how do you handle it’s being chores or kids or anything I think your great.
All your pantry items are my same essentials , except the veggies in the can- I’ve always had and keep- those items - just started keeping the chia seeds😊👍🏽but you’re correct those stapes can make a meal go a long way and it’s filling 🥰🥰🥰!! Thanks for sharing!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love making a quick taco soup with canned goods. I make it with tomato sauce, canned corn, taco packet, black beans, kidney beans, ranch packet, ground hamburger meat w a little bit of sliced onion cooked with the hamburger meat, along with diced tomatoes. pretty simple, quick easy and budget friendly!
You picked up the 3 items that makes my kids favorite dinner. Chicken Mac n cheese & peas. I cook the Mac n cheese and make it then add extra cheddar cheese and mexican cheese and I cook the chicken from then can and add some seasons to it then mix it with the Mac n cheese cook peas in the microwave drain and add those. Then dinner is served! ☺️
Loved!! You should definitely do a video on how to-lasagna. I know the concept is so simple but I’ve been a lasagna failure my entire life LOL. Thanks!!
I think of you and your family every time I make hamburger patties, (especially when using Uncle Chris's Steak Seasoning). It makes the best hamburgers even when I add an egg, and oat flour to have an extra patty from a pound of beef. You have a nice pantry stock. There were some you have I hadn't thought of having on hand. The additional items, turnip greens, field peas, carrots, beets, chickpeas, mustard, ketchup, honey mustard a supply of spam varieties, roast beef, canned salmon, raw honey, dry milk and some emergency foods for use if needed. There are freezer items as well. I am able to can meats if needed with an outside propane burner if we lose power. I hope my list helps someone when filling their pantry. Yours surely helped me. Hugs to you and yours. Blessings! 🙂

I'm a Special Ed Teachers Aide with 3 grown married children. I learned living in the woods in Mo. that I had to stock up for wintery season. This year with covid I have already sent my Christmas items to my grandkids and bought everyone elses gifts. I stocked up for the Holidays and baking like I usually do but this year I bought 3 months worth of extra foods and shelf staples in case of the uptick
Absolutely loved this! Especially with the focus on baking at the start. I always have cornflour (cornstarch) too as it's called for in a couple of our favourite cookie bar recipes...plus golden syrup as I can't be without essentials to make flapjacks on a cold day. Or a warm day. 🤣 We're a house of pasta fiends too. Perfect to make money saving quick meals to after work when there's nothing in the slow cooker. Stay safe!
I love how down to earth you are. We're big on Aldi, and our Bjs. I use my crockpot all the time. Onion soup mix and bouillon cubes are definitely staples in my kitchen with Bisquick and the pastas and sauces. I do a canned puree it is delicious. Buy bulk with the paste and sauces it is cheaper.
It's far FALL ā, which I think means butterfly! We call it bow tie pasta too, lol. Thanks for sharing, I love these kinds of videos. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season🍁❄️
Keeping up a well stocked pantry is always important. Looks like your pantry staples are what most people keep on hand. I buy several packets of dressing/dip, seasoning mixes and pour them all into canning jars, that keep them extremely fresh for a very long time. You can also buy ramen noodles that are not fried and unhealthy. Nothing wrong with the mac and cheese, I always have it on hand. The only canned veggies that I like are canned corn and tomato products. I prefer wither fresh or frozen. I always have canned chicken breast in my fridge...always, always ! We put Montreal steak seasoning on everything lol. Peanut butter, yup. We switched to avocado oil from veggie (soy based ) oil. So much healthier. It's neutral flavor is perfect. tfs 🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃🍁🍃🍂🍁🦃🍁🍃🍂🦃
This was great . Love how you share these everyday tips. Also we always have ramen in the house. Throw in some frozen peas and I don't feel guilty. Great on a chilly day. Greetings from Massachusetts!!
Please do a budget Christmas meal plan/prep. My family loves Christmas but since money's been tight, I can't go all out like I used to. Help a momma out please. 😂😭
instead of having powdered sugar and brown sugar I make my own it's easy all that is needed is white sugar and corn starch(for the powdered sugar) and white sugar and molasses(for the brown sugar)
@@thegmanviews11 hi there you dont put it IN the powdered sugar. you blend white sugar and cornstarch together to Make powdered sugar. look up homemade powdered sugar for the recipe quantities.
@@ourmodernhomestead2974 okay. But why would you? I always thought it was just sugar blended into powder. That’s all I have ever done. I’m really curious now.
Don't waste your money on small cans of tomato sauce anymore! A 6oz can of tomato paste whisked with 1.75 cups water makes way more tomato sauce for less!!
While I already have all of these, let me add what I keep that can definitely make your pantry staples last longer 1: of course chia seeds, I also cranberry seeds, hemp seeds and flax seeds 2. Besides canned milk, I get shelf stable whole milk and shelf stable whole cream Besides regular sugars, honey (raw honey) not the teddy bear or any processed and maple syrups are definitely a must as well as baking powder and vinegar to use for other purposes besides cooking. I wouldn't recommend veggie oil as it's bad for your heart but do you!! Coconut shavings and whole coconuts Jellies, Apple butter etc Of course with hamburger helper i also keep au graten and other boxes foods Frozen meats like chicken and hamburger but also canned Pantry snacks are a must Protein powder and breakfast essentials are also a must I keep both broths and bouillon. Over 500 calories in a bunch of nutrients, I'll add maybe soft-boiled eggs and veggies inside of them Another thing I keep on hand or pantry snacks like candies, granola bars, gummies etc whatever you like to keep on hand as a snack I also keep bacon bits because you can also add those to a lot of things like salads or other items as well as croutons I also always have cookie and brownie mixes and also keep fresh and frozen bread and rolls just in case I need to preserve my flour to make bread or something else Besides Beretta also keep tortillas on hand I also keep jell-o's and puddings as a staple I'll also keep crumbled granola and nuts I also keep whole cinnamon sticks and vanilla bean I also keep other milks besides cow milks, oat milks, goat milk, etc shelf stable of course I keep a handful of multiple multiple different seasonings. And seeds. As I like to plant a garden and make a concoction of my seasonings as a natural pesticide. Different kinds of crackers I also keep on hand I also keep a stock of different condiments, like hot sauces and steak sauces, chicken dipping sauces etc. I have quite a range of items that I keep as a pantry staple they last a long time in the pantry and they also can stretch a meal. :)

I love aldi too. I never realized how much I would miss the store brand of foods, and Crofton products until we moved to south MS.
