Law provides the doctors to take a blood sample for alcohol and not for illegal drugs. Petty theft is due to this addiction. My kids were small and I left NZ for proper schooling for them. I left New Zealand 30 years ago. Thank God I left to have my University Medical Career continued in Ceylon. It has the worst Medical Council in the West (for me). The worst compared to GMC in UK. No Medical Protection Society for doctors to register. The council prosecuted a retired doctor at the age of 81 for missing an underlying cancer 30 years ago (incubation period of this is over 25 years). Legally illogical. Worse is one has to retire at the age of 50. I continued till 66 years and completed a thesis and several books during this time. NZ is not a place for intellectuals. I worked in West Coast and they did NOT pay me for my extra work. Normal was 40 to 44 hours a week and I worked over 72 hours. I had to make up for my allowances (especially air tickets) by going to racing as the doctor in attendance on my off weekends. I enjoyed racing and I could not bet. I am a real gambler. Going to NZ was one of those gambles. By the way, kids used to follow my daughter asking for chocolates and she was given ample chocolates to dish out. Worst scenario was the sales girl at NewWeek stole my daughter's electronic dictionary (did not put it to the sales bag). I made sure she lost her job. New Zealand is one of the most Racist country in the West for Coloured or Brown Guys. They encouraged residency to Apartheid guys from South Africa. By the way, I am in Australia and Australians are down to earth people. We went out for a meal yesterday and we were the last to leave the restaurant. They close by 10 PM the most. Australian immigration is strict and that is a good for Australia. Do not just encourage drug peddling tourists. By the way, Australia has a drinking problem.
Why didn't you come back and try to make a positive change with your newfound qualifications instead of ratting your problems to the world from another country?
