Exactly. I was near the epicenter of a 6.8 in WA State in 2001, as in approximately 15 miles. That was the strongest and scariest I’ve ever experienced living here, and I’ve experienced many.
4.7 is not big at all. Guess they weren't here for the Northridge quake - 6.7 will scare the hell out of you. Thought it was the big one when it was happening, then found out it wasn't. lol

Firstly the Northridge quake in 1994 was hands down the worst! People like me and my family always have shoes next to our bed. The quake back then hitting at 4ish in the morning almost all were sleeping. Shoes are to protect your feet so anything that fell provents you from getting injured. There were so many at the hospital getting stitches. I'm a native of California for over 60 years. In California. That said the Northridge quake is the only one that woke me up but also scared me. Some stayed on their backyard/ frontyard camping too afraid to go back inside.
Felt it in Lake Elsinore in the IE, just BARELY, like a half second tremor, but still barely. In fact for a second I thought maybe a gust of wind just hit the side of the house.
I woke up to pee a few minutes before the quake. Got back in bed, started to fall back asleep, ripped a huge fart almost the exact same time as the earthquake, I giggled and then went back to bed 🤣 Gotta love Cali!

Yep, me to. East side of Canoga Park. Woke up thinking someone was jumping up and down on my bed. The roar that came up from the ground, not just the noise of everything shaking but the actual ground noise was incredible.
