This was a great series. I spent two years in Guatemala and I am returning for two weeks after having not been back for 20 years. Be careful drinking smoothies and eating shaved ice as most of them do not use agua pura. Even the homemade ice cream can be made with tap water.

Los dos pesos de más, son por el envase.!!! Si la bebes en la tienda, el envase se queda allí. Si la llevas, el envase se va y el tendero tiene que pagar por los envases que no hay…!! Si el bato canadiense regresara el envase al tendero , el bato recibe sus dos pesos de regreso…!!!! Y a eso le llaman “depósito “…..!!!!
Así es, le cobraron Q2 de más por el depósito pero el tiendero no le explicó, talvez ningún turista devuelve. Y atención que no son pesos, son Quetzales moneda nacional
