Hi guys! I am not a believer, Nicolette I recite a Buddhist mantra every time someone close to me is going through moments of uncertainty, it speaks of the universe, strength and serenity, I have a special place in the sand of the beach, listening to the sound of the sea, yesterday I specifically went to the place to amplify the mantra with the strength of that environment and "recited it internally" for your speedy recovery, I visualized you saying "everything went well" so everything will be fine. A huge hug for both of you 🤗🤗

My husband had a flap done in 2019, it was our last option and we’re so grateful for it. Recovery wasn’t that awful. You’ll have drainage tubes, and a pretty cool scar. Good luck!!! You got this!!! ❤

I just finished a months-long battle with osteomyelitis in my jaw bone - my situation turned right around when my awesome surgeon stepped in and operated! Hope you have a great recovery period full of healing so you can fully return to your adventures! I grew up two hours east of Pittsburgh. I always associated it with medical issues. I had a leg and an arm affected by polio and I had to visit a doctor in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh every other month or so. The bad side was the doctor’s appointments. The good side was visiting the Carnegie Museum nearby the doctor’s office in the Oakland neighborhood. I loved seeing the dinosaurs. Their Tyrannosaurus Rex was used to name the species. Nearby in their immensity were two of the giants; diplodocus and apatosaurus (aka brontosaurus). I would find out after I grew up that this is the only place on planet earth where these two huge giants are mounted in the same room! As a kid, that was the closest thing to heaven. But it’s a big museum that has many amazing exhibits; marbles from Greece, modern art, ancient mammals and paintings. I once saw the biggest Vincent Van Gogh show ever put on in that museum. Because many of his Japanese inspired works were bought up by Japanese collectors, the show would be impossible now. I too had orthopedic surgery in Pittsburgh; at Montefiori Hospital to correct a dragging foot and at Children’s Hospital to repair a purposely cut achilles tendon. The first was 63 years ago at age 9, the other was 61 years ago. I haven’t been to the Point Park in years. I miss it.

I have recently found your channel and find your videos very interesting. Im not disabled myself but my friend is in a wheelchair in the UK and its interestinf to see how thinfs are over in America. Shes started a youtube channel to show people over here, who are too scared to leave the house what its like to stay in a hotel, to travel by train etc. And also things that need improving, for example when port authority think making something accessible is them carrying people in wheelchairs downstairs. Its mind boggling. Jusy by hanging out with my friend though i am becomminf an expert on what makes a good public disabled tpilet and feel im forever lowering the emergnacy cords as so many places hang them up high.
