Hopefully all these studios, which are essentially small businesses, who have put so much time and money into them, will survive through this pandemic. Looks like a really nice studio! Stay well Warren!
@@Producelikeapro That's great, if you would say this about 30 or 40 years ago, they put you in that "special jacket" and take you to a psy facility, we love the internet.
i might be wrong so forgive me Zac if this is rude but if someone's parents ship them a boston grand for their birthday, running a profitable studio might not be an imperative to putting food on the table. sick studio all the same from a guy who is clearly talented and passionate.. partic room 2 i think would be a fun place to make a record
You can't beat a good studio tour, more so when you do a tour of such a beautifully well thought out working environment. The vocal booth is studio 2 is so trippy. Thanks for that Warren and I wish BBS every success.
I think that the first video that you did with Zach was the first-ever video of yours that I watched. It's great to see Zach's enthusiasm and encyclopedic knowledge of every piece of gear in his studio! Nice job, guys.
Wow, such a great studio. Awesome gear but the design and look of the rooms is also amazing and really well laid out. I really hope this place succeeds. They seem super enthusiastic and appreciative of everything. They’ve also been good about answering my questions when they’ve posted gear on Instagram. Definitely the kind of place I dream about having one day.
OMG! No way!!!! I've recorded at the old space and the new one! Zach is the man!!!! I did drums at the house studio for the song "Salty" and "Bad Boy" by Andres Did drums at the new place for the song "North" by JONO. Check 'em out!
Stay safe Warren and everyone. Warren, you have taught me everything I know and you are my hero !! I thank you for teaching us and sharing your knowledge with us. Not many professionals share the knowledge like you do and I thank you so so much. I do my best to share what you have taught with my best friends that are making GREAT music too. Once again, be safe my friend
I must say. Veryyy Impressive. I didn't notice 90% of the equipment but I have truly learned a lot of from this video. From how impressive they look and how much work has been put in by both of you guys into knowing the necessity for each equipment to just how much this did not just happen over night. Guitars have been collected over the years, the piano, the tape recorder etc. Truly amazing content. Massive gratitude to Warrent and your team. Thanks a lot brother!
That’s the exact same tape machine I used and learned on when I went to audio engineering school in Ohio! Awesome machine. We had it paired with a 52-ch Sony MCI console in our main room. Awesome days 🤗
I never get sick of watching Studio Tours. I love people who are passionate and really know what they are talking about. Its so inspiring to make me want to learn more and more. Thanks again. If I got to choose one thing for my studio, Id love a console with great Preamps. Thanks again
Great video. I enjoyed it so much, that I am thinking to watch it again. Very beautiful and pro studio. Great to see products I have and can afford like the warm audio's etc. Please stay save Warren!
I don’t think @producelikeapro is respecting the commandment.. “Thou shalt not covet your neighbours original U48 or U67”... you’re coveting all over those mics!!! LOL. What an amazing set up! I know where I’d want to be self isolated. Thanks for sharing and thanks to Big Bad Studios for letting us behind the scenes. 🎼🎛🎸🤘
Obviously really clever and ambitious young guys who just went after what they wanted and took it to a high level, wish them continued success! Thanks Warren!
Big Bad had a really cool blog up for a while chronicling the build-out from soup to nuts that was super cool. Sadly it's been taken down but it was fun to check out while it lasted.
Great tour! Thanks guys. So informative with tons of gear. Where can we hear Zach's podcast he mentioned? Randomly saw Scott from Weezer in glassel park where I was working on a film production before everything went down. Unrelated but I love that area of LA.
my favorite piece of gear that I would want to have is the Blue Stripe 1176 for sure immediately followed by either the Pultec EQM-1S3s or the SSL AWS 900
Hello Warren and all of you, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Id like to ask a question regarding another topic that you have covered recently. When aligning drum mics for phase, or even split bass recordings- which one do you move? Do you assume the DI/close mic is the correctly aligned one and then move the others to suit? Thanks for all the great content you post mate. I just got a new TV so now I can watch you on a 43” screen!
Great tour, as always. The Focusrite unit you are referring to might be one of the Platinum series pre's.... I have the voice master pro, and I like what it does to a lot of stuff....guitar, bass, synths etc. don't use it much on voice though. Oh well.
@@StaticTeaz not the same, but same family of units. I think the units have a purpose...but many decide to sell after a while. I think they are the cheaper focusrite units.
I have a question! How did you get your light to shine through the dark mass of the many different recording studios in LA? It feels like everyone's got the best gear and the best rooms, how were you able to distance your company from everyone else?
If you could have any piece of equipment in your studio, what would you choose?
Jimi Hendrix Original Marshall ... niom niom ✌✌✌
Just sonarworks with a mic and a micstand
Tree Audio roots console.
An Eric Valentine Undertone Audio Unfairchild!
A 48 channel console - Neve or SLL. And all the necessary converters to use it hybrid! :)
Hopefully all these studios, which are essentially small businesses, who have put so much time and money into them, will survive through this pandemic. Looks like a really nice studio! Stay well Warren!
Hi Daniel, I agree! Luckily many studios and producers have established themselves online and are mixing remotely!

Both of these guys are having a great hair day.
Haha Thanks! I'm definitely not a hair model! Just a dude recording music!
Love that there's no dissing of "lesser" equipment... everything has a place and is worth consideration. Love this attitude:) Great Space guys!

Thanks ever so much Steve!! Agreed, the guys have done something very special here!!
Zack seems so young but very mature and educated in the craft. Beautiful studio and wonderful video. Thank you Warren Zack.
I loved Big Bad from the first studio tour you did, been following on IG ever since, it's fantastic to see where they've got to!
Thanks ever so much Chris! Yes, I love their new facility!
I love how many times Zach uses the word fun! :D

Thank you Zach and Warren! Love that baffled room in the moment. Got cold here again all of a sudden. I also love that lower sounding guitar. 😊
Talk about geeking out. This dude is very knowledgeable for what looks like a young man. Enjoyed the tour.

I remember this guy and his small studio. Great to see him progressing. Enjoyed this very much!
Thank you Warren for these kind of videos! It´s so wonderful to watch and obtain some of the knowledge you and your guests have already acquired.
It's like the cockpit of of an old plane and most of the time I don't even know what the hell they are talking about yet I love it!
Wow, what a great studio. Thank you for the interview and the tour.
Wow! thanks Warren, thanks Zach. That's amazing new studio, the nod to old big studios with a cool vibe but all the modern conveniences.
What a Great tour and really interesting gear Love it
I know that board before it was in Firehouse it was at Sound Station Seven. Love that API.
Fantastic! Thanks for letting me know!

AW shucks! Thanks ever so much my friend! I really appreciate it!
This studio! Amazing! Great to see some South Carolina boys out there making great music! Thank you for sharing Warren!
Loved this! Youth and its vagaries... very useful energy here. Thank you both.
Zach is an outstandingly talented fellow! He really cares about his work! They've built an amazing facility!
You really ARE a gem Warren. I like your fervent and supportive viewpoint. Over 1000 videos, jeez! Thank YOU!
Had the same idea for the mic stand things in the wall line three years ago. It works just perfect!
That's wonderful to hear Michael!!
Excellent tour!... Just what I needed today-

Zach seems like such a nice Dude and the Studios look amazing. I´d die for to make a living with something like that.
With the piano you did the exact same note he did with the word "sounding". Amazing ;)
Enjoyed the interview. Looks like a cool studio!

Fun and Cool!
Thanks ever so much!
@@Producelikeapro LOL... I wrote 3 lines and erased all but what I left. It reinforced my own plans for our home studio build! thx
What an amazing studio!
Agreed Scott!!
It looks almost like the studio I was working 20 years ago.
Michael Sera’s brother has a killer studio , WoW
Phil Keaggy used to use two Twin Reverbs loaded with 12" EV SROs. Lovely sound.
Is this studio dream land? No, there are 2 channels on the board without EQ! 🤣😂😅😃 We all muddle through somehow I suppose. Cool tour Warren! 👍🤠✌
Haha yes two channels! Haha Thanks for the great comment!
Love to see a feature on how something like this studio is wired and connected.
seems a nice guy and the studio is really cool

He needs a studio that big to fit his hair do in
Indeed! Great hair!!
I hope some day that you can make a tour of the Blasting Room here in Colorado and interview Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore.
Beautiful space
Awesome!

Great video Warren! Any chance you could cover that Radial 500 unit which allows you to use guitar pedals with the DAW/patchbay. Thanks!!

He sounds like he could do a dead on impression of Michael Cera.
Bill Ravencraft is the 🐐 such a great guy 🙏🏽
Warren, is there any way I can contact you about possibly going over my new hybrid recording studio I'm having built to get your expert advice?
The Sunn was too loud... So you bought a Matamp. Brilliant! Orange are to Matamp what the Wings are to Beatles. Don't neglect that Ampeg V4 though.
EVs in a Twin have their own gravity.
Nice studio! What do you do for control humidity? Cheers
When I'm in GC Hollywood never see you guys, ran into Stevie Wonder tho, I guess I'll have to wait till this Social thing is over!
