      A 48 channel console - Neve or SLL. And all the necessary converters to use it hybrid! :)

    Hopefully all these studios, which are essentially small businesses, who have put so much time and money into them, will survive through this pandemic. Looks like a really nice studio! Stay well Warren!

      i might be wrong so forgive me Zac if this is rude but if someone's parents ship them a boston grand for their birthday, running a profitable studio might not be an imperative to putting food on the table. sick studio all the same from a guy who is clearly talented and passionate.. partic room 2 i think would be a fun place to make a record

    OMG! No way!!!!
    I've recorded at the old space and the new one!
    Zach is the man!!!!
    I did drums at the house studio for the song "Salty" and "Bad Boy" by Andres
    Did drums at the new place for the song "North" by JONO. Check 'em out!

    You can't beat a good studio tour, more so when you do a tour of such a beautifully well thought out working environment. The vocal booth is studio 2 is so trippy. Thanks for that Warren and I wish BBS every success.

    Wow, such a great studio. Awesome gear but the design and look of the rooms is also amazing and really well laid out. I really hope this place succeeds. They seem super enthusiastic and appreciative of everything. They’ve also been good about answering my questions when they’ve posted gear on Instagram. Definitely the kind of place I dream about having one day.

    I don’t think @producelikeapro is respecting the commandment.. “Thou shalt not covet your neighbours original U48 or U67”... you’re coveting all over those mics!!! LOL. What an amazing set up!     Great tour! Thanks guys. So informative with tons of gear. Where can we hear Zach's podcast he mentioned? Randomly saw Scott from Weezer in glassel park where I was working on a film production before everything went down. Unrelated but I love that area of LA.

    That’s the exact same tape machine I used and learned on when I went to audio engineering school in Ohio! Awesome machine. We had it paired with a 52-ch Sony MCI console in our main room. Awesome days 🤗

    I must say. Veryyy Impressive. I didn't notice 90% of the equipment but I have truly learned a lot of from this video. From how impressive they look and how much work has been put in by both of you guys into knowing the necessity for each equipment to just how much this did not just happen over night. Guitars have been collected over the years, the piano, the tape recorder etc. Truly amazing content. Massive gratitude to Warrent and your team. Thanks a lot brother!

    my favorite piece of gear that I would want to have is the Blue Stripe 1176 for sure immediately followed by either the Pultec EQM-1S3s or the SSL AWS 900

    Hello Warren and all of you, I hope you are all keeping safe and well. Id like to ask a question regarding another topic that you have covered recently. When aligning drum mics for phase, or even split bass recordings- which one do you move? Do you assume the DI/close mic is the correctly aligned one and then move the others to suit?
    Thanks for all the great content you post mate. I just got a new TV so now I can watch you on a 43” screen!

    Great tour, as always. The Focusrite unit you are referring to might be one of the Platinum series pre's.... I have the voice master pro, and I like what it does to a lot of stuff....guitar, bass, synths etc. don't use it much on voice though. Oh well.

      Voice Master Pro or ToneFactory? I have one of the latter. Maybe the reference is to its "overdrive." I've actually been trying to sell it.

      @@StaticTeaz not the same, but same family of units. I think the units have a purpose...but many decide to sell after a while. I think they are the cheaper focusrite units.

    How do you know if a speaker is super accurate if you need to consider the room, acoustics, distance and the speaker itself, and of course a person needs to hear what "accurate" really sounds like.
    These studios are really great tho, i wish i could walk in to these studios just to feel the atmosphere and get motivated :)

    Well I sold a wah for $35 to Billie Joe's shop in Oakland so it just comes down to how desperate you are heh. As a poor bloke, I'm focusing on what I can achieve primarily in the box. That said, fun tour.. looks like a great studio!

    Big Bad had a really cool blog up for a while chronicling the build-out from soup to nuts that was super cool. Sadly it's been taken down but it was fun to check out while it lasted.

    the biggest caveat with equipment is trying to buy things to sound like someone or something..... if you look at things from a fundamental perspective (such as the gentleman who essentially has tech knowledge of his own equipment) you can find yourself making more with less and getting down to the creative side of things.. obviously were going to drool over things and obtain certain pieces, but at the end of the day keep in mind a lot of pros do most things in the box these days.
