8:00 Singapore has a huge number of foreign workers from Bangladesh and they're male, unmarried plus a long way from home. They hang out at Little India because that's where they feel at home. You REALLY stand out because you're attractive, female and black....very rare combination in Singapore.
Supertree Grove looks so beautiful. And that airport looked simply breathtaking, I can't wait to check it out for myself at some point. On another note, It can be really overwhelming and anxiety inducing when so many people stare at you at the same time but I'm glad you didn't let it ruin your entire trip.
@@byMarieA Ahh hope you get to see the airport at some point, even just passing though. It’s pretty cool! Right! It usually doesn’t bother me, but it felt so different there 😔 Thanks sis ☺️
Hi Singaporean here, usually us locals wont stare, we are usualy shy people hahaha its the foreign workers from India do stare and its intimidating too
Such a cool coincidence. I'm going to stay in Singapore (in two days) for 4/5 days before moving onward. I hope as a Black girl that I won't be getting too many stares. My time in India was painful enough in this regard. I can't wait to see other content from you. You have an infectious good vibe :)
@@estelleg.7922 Thank you love! 💛ahh I love that! I hope you have the best time! Honestly little India was the worst for staring but the rest of my time there wasn’t so bad. (FYI, save any outdoor exploring for the evenings, when it’s a bit cooler)
Looks like you are having a lovely time. I myself who has traveled Asia am a little tired of the Asia experience. I am looking forward to seeing you in other continents and countries. I am really happy to see you living your best life!!
@@dani3640 Thank you! Honestly, I get it! Funnily enough, I’ve travelled quite a bit in the past year to non-Asian countries but haven’t vlogged them. I’ll make sure I share my upcoming trips ☺️
Perfect timing for me! I am doing a solo trip to Singapore (and Malaysia) in a few weeks and this is incredible. I have said this before and I'll say it again, I would pay for the PDF guide (or even Google Doc) of the more admin stuff you're doing on these solo trips. Like hotels you booked, cash you brought, where you bought it from - was it enough? Did you use a credit card and if so any recommendations (I guess this is more for Americans, but I always use a Mastercard when travelling). You should definitely think about it.
@@AndSoWeLaughed heyyy love! Malaysia was my last stop, I’ll be dropping that video in the next few weeks. I hear you , I hear you! The peer pressure might start working soon😉 Hope you have a fab (safe) time on your travels! Let me know if you’re experience ends up being similar or different to mine!
@notjustRO you were a huge influence (along with another black female YT and Co worker) in me choosing to solo travel. So thank you! Been watching for a while now and I'm so glad you kept posting after leaving Korea. Can't wait to see what you're up to next!
@@AndSoWeLaughed Ahh that makes my heart happy 🤗 Still figuring out what I wanna do with this channel, but thank you for sticking with me along the way✨
I spent my summer in Bali and then visited Singapore before returning to America. To be perfectly honest, unless you have a business or are a student in Singapore it really is overly expensive and boring. The Changi jewel is a beautiful airport design and worth seeing. The supertree park is interesting to visit, but it was 95° outside so it was exhausting to visit. I refused to pay them to go upstairs in the trees, however. Marina Bay Sands hotel was a nice place to stay at and they had a nice swimming pool with extremely warm water due to the external temperature. However, it’s very expensive to stay there nightly. I visited their casino as well: very nice, but I’m not into gambling. There were some nice malls there, including Plaza Singapura. I spent most of my time in the mall. I also enjoyed their public transportation system. Having experienced Singapore, I don’t feel that I ever need to go back.
@@PassportBrosBusinessClass I’ve heard this perspective a lot actually. I think 48 hours was just the right amount of time for me. And you’re right, it’s very hot so you definitely have to paradise in direct activities. Thanks for sharing☺️

Chinatown has a great souvenir section with some Indian ladies running it.
Indian girls are so rare in Singapore - was nice to get to know one
You look cute that place is clean❤
Yeah, the man sitting behind you at the beginning was staring way too hard 😅
Righttt? Lmaooo
The worst part for me was trying to do laundry in a laundromat with just my credit card/ Applepay.
Perhaps we're staring because we seldom get to meet a beautiful lady like yourself!
those are foreign workers and they love being film or in front of camera...if you have seen travellers to those part of the world
