Local here! Geylang is pronounced as gay-lung Quay is pronounced as key - Clarke 'key'; Robertson 'key' As a driver i get lost at interchanging stations myself when i take the mrt too 😅 Singapore is a generally safe country, just beware of drunkards in nightlife areas.. its basically Asia in tutorial mode. Glad you enjoyed your stay! 😊
"It's basically Asia in tutorial mode." 😄Yes, very true! Especially since English is so common in Singapore. Thank you for the clarification 👍🏾 and for watching my video!
I suspect you might have had a piece of salted fish in your bite of claypot chicken rice. 😅 A small piece of that will taste really salty, but it adds umami to the dish overall... Huge props to you for being adventurous with food! 👍🏼
Heyyy welcome to the channel! Singapore and Malaysia is a great choice especially since they are next each other. I’m sure you’ll have a great time. Thank you for checking out my video. 😊
Hello! Hoping to plan my own solo travel trips one day, and I loved this video. It was filled with many practical and important details, which other videos gloss over and just show the lifestyle. Feeling a little more educated now and really enjoyed this vid, eager to continue watching your channel! ❤️
Wow, thank you so much! Singapore is definitely a great city for a solo trip. As long as you plan ahead and prioritize what you personal like, you'll be good to go. Thank you for checking out my video! 😊
LOL... But no worries... If you walk with a purpose and don't just hang around a lamp post or under a tree... No one will mistake you as a 'working girl'... And Singapore being known to be very strict with its laws... No man is likely to 'manhandle' you in any way... Hope you check out the foods along Geylang... Some of the food can be found there....
@@sweetchariot without a doubt.... The famous Geylang Lor 9 Fresh Frog Porridge... Famous for their name sake, American bullfrog porridge.... and their signature Kung Pao bullfrog.
Hi just wondering how you took your pictures on your solo trip as I am also going solo to Singapore soon and I’m wondering how I’ll get my pictures done 😭
Hello, I had my portable tripod with me. And I recorded and took pictures with my phone. I have a Samsung 21 ultra. Honestly, it was a little difficult because of the humidity in December. Hopefully, that's not the case for you.
OMG... Aa a local... For clay pot rice... Short of turning the rice into a porridge by pouring in a whole bottle of dark soya sauce... Its very normal to turn the rice and ingredients... 'black'... Just stir well after that...
You can just tap any Visa/Mastercard credit card to tap in and out at any MRT stations and on public buses.
Glad you enjoy ur stay in Singapore
😊 Thank you for watching!

13:06 Lau Pasat means Old Bazaar where Lau is cantonese for "old" and pasat derives from the Malay word "pasar" for bazaar.

I have been traveling solo all over and I just simply ask anybody to take my picture and I also offer to take others pictures as well
Clark Quey is pronounc as Clark 'Key'... As in Florida keys...
Don't ask me why... Its just so... 😂

Oh, so was it supposed to be like that? And yeah I didn't mix it that much. I do remember seeing a lady eating a darker color rice.
