    Do you need to keep your phone connected to the light for it to follow the lighting schedule and stuff? I want it to be able to run the schedule when I'm not home for a couple days at a time and I haven't been able to find info on this :/

    Hi bro,
    what if I remove the polycarbonate cover off of the a2 housing? Is that even possible? I like the shimmer effects on plants and scape and may be it will improve it?

    Can I buy it for 120 cms tank. Does it have warranty and is it full spectrum daylight 8000 kelvin

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  2 года назад

      You can buy it directly from Chihiros since they've already made their own website. It should have a warranty if you bought it directly from Chihiros. If you buy it from somewhere else you need to ask the vendor directly. Yes, it's marketed as a full spectrum light and each individual LEDs are around 8000Kelvin

    • @AquaristForFun

      daylight color temperature is 6500K and not 8000K. These lights are 8000K

    I'm using Hygger on most of my tanks now. They work well but, no app to control them. They are programmable but, a PITA to do.

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  3 года назад +1

      I've tried them before. its great for low tech scapes and non demanding plants. But as you go to a higher level of scaping you'll start to see some deficiencies on the Hygger lights. From what i can see WEEK AQUA and LEDSTAR lights are great contenders against Chihiros witihin the same price bracket. they also have app connectivity and multiple design specs

      Yeah, I really liked this light especially for the price! I bought 2 for better coverage from back to front of the scape. Its really bright so I now have both running at 60%

  • @sdqsdq6274

    nice but u never show the the row of led inside, its 3 x row? wonder its good for 60 cm height

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  3 года назад

      sorry, camera wont pick it up because its covered with polycarbonate light diffuser and it gets too bright if I turn it on. But yes, it has 3 rows of LEDs but I dont know why its important. not all LEDs are built the same. My WRGB 2 also has 3 rows but its definely much brighter and better.
      60cm depth is too deep for a single A series II. Maybe 2x A series II will be good enough. In the end it'll depend on whether or not you'll be using CO2 and what type of plants you want. If you want DHG carpet then you need 2 lights, but if you want something easy like a Marsilea hirsuta or just anubias and buce then maybe 1 is enough

    I want to get a 70x50x50 tank. Would one Chihiros WRGB II be enough?

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  2 года назад

      It Depends on your goals. 50cm can be pretty tall but it should be enough for easy carpeting plants. If want the best possible outcomd go for Vivid 2.

    hi, i have a 90x30x36 cm tank, do you think 1 90cm A series 2 will be enough for it? because it looks thin, do you think it can cover a depth of 30cm? thanks

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  2 года назад

      hi! yes defintely! in my bonsai aquascape I only had to use 2 lights because of the big hardscape that would shadow the carpet.. plus i got an update from chihiros and they've already released a hanging kit for the a series II.

    Hi, for a tank that's 60 centimeters long and 30 centimeters wide, do you think that one light would be enough to grow a carpet and stem plants in the background?

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  3 года назад +1

      as long as there is no large hardscapes covering the ground it should be enough. for my case i had to use 2 lights because its 45cm in height and 45cm wide, plus a large bonsai that shadows the ground

      @@AquaristForFun I have 140 L Dutch and a few 30L Nanos

    • @benattokaran
      @benattokaran 3 года назад +1

      For the 30L Nanos I use a sunsun hbl 802 hang on back which has a decent space for media and runs at 500L/hr and for the 90cm Dutch I have a sicce 350 and the Chinese version if the ADA style filters. The sicce is about 1150L/hr and the Ada style filter can potential go up to 2500L/hr but I use like half that.

    • @AquaristForFun
      @AquaristForFun  3 года назад +1

      actually i love your filters. Sunsun HBL 802 is a very underrated filter, great space for filter media and low price. For your dutch scape, as far as I know the Sicce version, you can change the pump to a higher output. My 60cm, 90L Aquascape has almost the same output as your 140L 90cm Dutch.
      My recommendation for 30L nano tanks, external canister filters like SunSun HW 604B, it has 800l/h output. if you want a more prominent brand try Oase Biomaster 250 or Filtosmart 200. Eheim Classic 350 external filter is also great.
      for the Dutch 140L, try increasing the output on your ADA style Filter or if you want to get a new one, try Oase Biomaster 600 or 850. the Pre-filter is a God send when doing maintenance. But personally I really like the ADA style filter from China
