Oh man this made me miss driving my truck, I have a p pump 24v with a large 72mm single with a fmvb but it’s been down for almost a year due to blowing the head gasket, haven’t had time to get around it but agh this gave me motivation 😂
@@VossGarage the turbo is a fenley He500 72mm and it spools just like my old s467 did but makes more power. I like the p pump more for rpm’s and reliability but other than that I also like my VPs lol. I have a half ton shorty 2nd gen with a vp44 24v and I enjoy driving that a little more even tho it makes less power haha.
It’s nice seeing someone running a vp with a big single since haters always hate about them not fueling enough for a big single so I’ve enjoyed your videos.
@@edwinj8275heck yeah! I’ve heard great things from fenley chargers. I bet that shorty is a good time! The 467 does surprisingly well on mine, just have to know how to drive it. Appreciate watching my videos man 🤘🏽
Bro your truck is awesome I was wondering if you have a link for those headlights and front bumper I just got my 2001 ram 1500 and I want to fix it up to look nice
Thanks!! The headlights are just some Amazon specials, I’ll see if i can find a link. The bumper is also just an OEM sport bumper. I think LMC truck has them
Not a dumb question! Really depends on year and factory transmission in the truck. Mine being a 6 speed originally has electronic cruise control, so mine works just like OEM. The factory auto 2nd gen’s are vacuum controlled, and I’m not 100% sure if it will still work. I’ve heard that it does and doesn’t, so I’d research that.
Thanks man!! Yeah this wheel/tire combo was supposed to be a temporary setup that just stayed. I agree tho, it needs bigger tires… but these are cheap to replace 🤣
Nothing special, it’s all stock cooling system other than a coolant bypass (which arguably does nothing). I do have a newer radiator, water pump and a 190° thermostat. Do you have the system bled correctly? I would start there.
They’re really just for monitoring the live action! The one on my steering wheel column is my transmission temp, bottom one on the A-pillar is turbo boost, middle is EGT, and the top one is my lift pump fuel pressure. I really only care about transmission temp and lift pump pressure, but the boost gauge is fun to watch 🫡
@@VossGarage what is EGC? That’s awesome thank you explaining it. I am guessing the lift fuel pump shows how much pressure and fuel pushing through the motor?
@@jonathanzickefoose860No problem! EGT is exhaust gas temperature, something you want to keep an eye on. Lift pump pressure is the fuel pressure being supplied to the injection pump. 2nd gen 24v’s have a vp44 injection pump that is very sensitive to low pressure. So you want to make sure you have good pressure
I have a 97 dodge that I recently went to fmvb and comp 2 trans from firepunk. When coming to a stop is it ok to stop in 3rd/2nd gear or should you pop it in neutral and come to a stop? I know it’s not like you should be downshifting like a manual unless you’re probably under 10mph but will waiting to come to a stop in gear cause damage?
That’s awesome man! Yes it’s okay to come to a stop in 3rd/2nd (converter unlocked). I typically come to a stop in 3rd, or downshift to 2nd if i need to - but only if I’m going under 10mph/rolling. I only pull into 1st when I’m at a dead stop. Say I’m approaching a red light in OD with lockup on, always unlock the converter first and then flip off OD. Then just come to a full stop in 3rd and pull it back into first. Never downshift with lockup on! Hope this helps 👊🏽
I wouldn’t say it shifts “hard”, I’d describe it as firm. Which it only does that when i leave the converter locked when i shift. It’s pretty much the nature of a built transmission!
I Always think rubberbands on trucks are stupid but I gotta admit, that is a very clean interior, bravo
Thanks man!! Can’t say that I love this wheel/tire setup either, but my wallet loves how cheap the tires are to replace 🤣

What size s400 is this seems to really spool up nice
It’s a 467.7/.83/.90. It spools pretty well for what it is!
What do you do to keep your truck so cool? I have a 99 and I replaced the radiator but the temps still like to climb up

Are you running any tune cause if it’s a smokier tune it would make it run hot
What are the pods gauges for?
Can you explain each of them?

What’s mm is your compressor wheel and what kinda rpm are you running when it lights
Compressor is 67.7 and it lights around 2000 rpm

I'm more worried about my EGTs with these injectors and turbo rather than the wheels/tires...
why would you remove the 6 speed for that
Because I like to party!!

Why can't they make shit like this for 4th gen Rams. About to 6 speed swap mine...
They do, check out Firepunk diesel! Nothing cooler than a 4th gen with a ratchet shifter coming out of the business console!
