Thanks so much for publishing these episodes! I've watched 1-3 already and will keep on going. I have listened to many hours of you already on youtube. I've lost 25 lbs and regained my health through you and all the others. I have 25-30 more to go but not focusing on the scale, but on my HEALTH!!
Thank you so much for this series! That you are willing to do this for us, and for free none-the-less, really shows where your heart is. Thanks again! ♥
Wow your observation about how those highly processed nonvegan products that pretend to be food (cookies chips candy bars) are at the pet stores and random stores that have nothing to do with food--PROFOUND! I had never thought about that before.
I don't know if I could go to the moon and not eat the blue cheese! Therefore I am not going to try to eat healthily! Ha ha! I really enjoy your videos Chef AJ, and I am learning a lot. Thank you so much for posting them; you are doing a wonderful service. I wonder if you would recommend the occasional small bowl of porridge oats?
Dr. Jason Fung is the doctor who promotes fasting. Fasting works because it causes your insulin to drop to zero allowing your body to access fat stores for energy.
Chef AJ. Would you recommend a high fruit or high starch diet as a part of ultimate weight loss. For example, eating 5 lbs of watermelon vs. cooked stach for the same calories ? Thank you
Yes and thank you for clarifying. But I come from the past of being raw vegan (high carb high fruit). Please understand that I have been scared into believing that fruit makes you thin (even dates) and starch makes us fat. Thus, i appreciate your help. I do find that fruit doesn't give lasting satiety and thus asking for your help. I know many who would love your program if you actually would help them understand this better.
Fruit does not make you fat and neither does starch. It's the chemicals we add like oil and sugar and flour that make us fat. I asked you if you are in UWL because we do explain this in the first video module. I cannot explain hours worth of material in these short videos.
Hello, I first want to say you're videos are very inspiring for someone like me who wants and needs to lose about 30 pounds. I have been struggling with weight ever since young childhood (I'm 19) and I really resonate with what you suggest. Is soy milk to rich to lose weight or is it okay? I cut out all nuts/seeds/avocado, in hopes of accelerating weight loss, but my weight is not budging at all. I want to lose about 1 lb/week. Thanks so much.
What else are you eating? How many veggies do you eat? do you eat oil, sugar, flour or salt? why not sign up for my Ultimate Weight Loss Program so we can help you achieve the health and the body you deserve? chefajwebsite.com/ultimate-weight-loss-program.html
I cut out all salt sugar and oil, and usually eat oatmeal with 2 cups of fruit in the morning, usually eat sweet potatoes with veggies (Brussel sprouts and broccoli usually) for lunch and then rice and veggies of some sort for dinner. Even eating sos free I find myself wanting to overeat and I'm not sure why.
I was fat from 5 until 52 so you can still turn this around. Have you seen my story? ruclips.net/video/jyR1OcQynfQ/видео.html. Soy milk is very high in fay. Are you eating any processed food like sugar or flour?
I recommend vegetables for breakfast and not activating the sweet taste so early on. Have you considered the Ultimate Weight Loss Program? chefajwebsite.com/ultimate-weight-loss-program.html
+CHEF AJ +CHEF AJ thanks you SO much for you're response you have been such a motivation for me. I was binge watching a lot of you're weight loss videos and I heard you mention that eating fruit in the morning can be a reason of not losing weight, why is this? And I have cut out all flour and occasionally have strawberry jam (without cane sugar) on brown rice cakes. I am looking into the ultimate weight loss program you have!! I'm so desperate to finally get control of my weight. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I usually have about 1/2-1/4 cup of soymilk a day, but other than that no added fat. Yes I saw you're story it's absolutely amazing.
You look stunning! May I ask if you ever eat bananas or do you consider it to be eaten rarely. Its just that i live in a cold climate with very few juicy fruits available :(
A vegan R.D. says that losing weight quickly on a very low fat diet causes kidney stones. Every time I buy healthy nuts I wind up eating the whole package until it's gone. I don't want kidney stones but I need to lose weight! Same with avocado. I wish that someone would make S0S foods that include one ounce of nuts in a very large package so I could eat the whole thing and still get only one ounce of nuts. Maybe a large package of salad or greens with only one ounce of nuts in it. That would be great!
Thanks for the quick response Chef AJ! :) Yes, Dr. McDougall is all about very low fat for anyone who isn't thin or too thin. I have two Forks 0ver Knives books and an Engine 2 book. 0ne is a cookbook and the others include recipes. Both have a bit of higher fat plant foods in some of the recipes. I adore Dr. Gregor and he advocates nut and seed consumption for losing weight and other health benefits. Still, I am a food addict. I remember that some people eat flaxseed meal for the 0mega-3s. I can't imagine I'd want to overeat that. Never had anything but whole flaxseeds, so that'll be something new to try. In my supermarket is a guacamole that is made with mostly tomatillos and a little avocado. I buy that and tiny cans of black olives. I can handle eating those in moderation. Just can't buy a whole avocado without gobbling the entire thing in a few minutes. And if I buy more than one they'll all be gone before the day is over.
Great information thanks

absolutely not. NO STARCH = NO SATIETY. COMPLEX carbohydrates is the ONLY thing that satisfies the hunger drive. Are you in UWL?

what about nuts in recipes? like vegan cheese sauce? should we be eating that?
not for weight loss
Peanuts on top of pad thai. There goes my 1oz daily ration. Mmmmm :)
You look stunning! May I ask if you ever eat bananas or do you consider it to be eaten rarely. Its just that i live in a cold climate with very few juicy fruits available :(
Not too much. Too sweet. Usually only in recipes

I defer to the vegan doctors like Dr. McDougall and Dr. Esselstyn who advocate a low fat diet.
Thanks for the quick response Chef AJ! :)

I choose not eat these foods..I love my recovery...just take it a day at a time....
I agree!
