The Accidentals - The Line (Lyric Video)

- Whenever we get stuck, our band motto has always been “ask for what you need”. During some of the longest days in the home studio, recording, engineering, producing, mixing, rewriting, live-streaming, working on an endless loop in the dead of winter, we were feeling creativity burned out. So when it came time to make a video for The Line, we reached out to our friend Ollie to animate it and asked our Patrons to be part of the creative team. We held a brainstorming session over Zoom and asked everyone what the song meant to them. It was like we were hearing the lyrics for the first time. “The line between the truth and the belief” sparked open conversation about self judgement, mental health, writer’s block. We wanted to portray zooming out from a warped perspective of reality and coming away with hope. Ollie made this beautiful stop motion pulling all the pieces together.

Love Love ❤💙💜💛
Incredible lyrics and harmonies, definitely deserving of a much broader audience, first encounter for myself, what a lovely discovery!!!
This is greatness. I've got someone in my life going through Some Stuff, and the lines "you are more than what you carry, you are more than what you hide" hit hard. But in a good way.
I also love the bass/drums groove in this! The bassline is subtle, but really grooves and moves the tune. This could be a much slower and 'down' kind of song. Excellent work!
I'm obsessed with this song.
So Nice!
Beautiful. The harmonies set the accidentals far ahead of other artists.
My god lyrics...feeling devine..thank you the accidentals for this song for the entire broken hearts..treating it as a medicine.💗💗💗💗🌷💗💗🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
This is my favorite track from the Accidentals, possibly ever. It's extremely touching and I was NOT prepared the first time I heard it. Love this so much.
Wow! Such an exceptional lyrics! What a wonderful harmony! The video concept approaches so perfectly the lyrics! First-class job! 👏👏🎼🔝
Yes you are right.. 💗👍
Really fabulous lyrics--I wasn't paying attention to the radio, and suddenly this song came on and grabbed me. Wrote them down so i could find it...
Love this song. So much of your souls are given with your music. I was so excited to hear you are coming to Columbus in March. My sister and I saw you this past fall at the Opera House in TC. We loved your music so that we came again the next night. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us.
The talent you three possess is truly a gift to the world. Ceaseless wonder.
I've been a big fan of this song since it first appeared as a Tiny Desk submission that featured a very creative video. I love the re-worked version that ended up on Vessel, and this lyric video is yet another creative gem to add to the many "feathers in your cap". Bellissimo!! Kudos to Ollie and the rest of the team :)
Gorgeous! Seriously can’t wait for the next UK tour 😁 I’m basically at the venue already
