Hi Russel Smith, thank you for this tutorial, I was stuck after receiving zipped files from my student. I noticed that I had to pay more attention to the menu, at first I didn't see the extract all command/menu and so I thought okay I can't do it, I watched your video 4 times and told myself let me do it in slomo maybe I missed something. ...well I had missed the 7-Zip command which I clicked and wallah!(^,^) with thanks from Johannesburg, South Africa
When i try to extract all with the right click, it says "cannot complete the compressed (zipped) folders extraction wizard" do you know how to fix that?
Thank you so much. Your video helped me today 😊 i have no absolute clue on how to unzip or anything in IT. However, your video was like a shot straight and concise. I reminded myself with the series "The ITCrowd," literally like : have you turn it off and on again? 😂😂 Thank you, mate
Probably this is an incompatibility with the way the file was archived (zipped). I suggest that if it only happens with one file, that you try a third-party program like 7Zip to extract the archive.
Hey bro.. I'm extremely frustrated RIGHT NOW and Reedsy customer service sent me here. I have a Windows Surface Pro X tablet.. does your way shown in the video unzip files for a Surface Pro X tablet as well or is it just for the Windows 10 ????
I was just about to ask this as well, BUT I figured it out (by accident). So, if your “default” method for unzipping a file is the WinZip app, change it to “Windows Explorer”. It should change the icon of your zip file to look like the zipped folder (in case it looked like something else beforehand, because that’s what happened to me) and then follow the instructions of this video. Assuming the extract all option is there. I hope this helps!
Hey, Fogy i tried this 5 times but I realised I was missing one point, in some menus, the extract all command isn't visible, instead, there is a 7-Zip on mine, so I clicked it and Wallah! I found the extract command and it took less than a second to do it. I hope it helps(^,^) with love from South Africa

When I tried I got an error saying, an unexpected error is keeping you from copying the file, error code- 0x80004005
When i try to extract all with the right click, it says "cannot complete the compressed (zipped) folders extraction wizard" do you know how to fix that?
Is it just with one compressed folder? Try a different one and see what happens. The one you’re trying to extract could be corrupted.
@@RussellSmith same i cant i didnt work

It just crashes when I open it tho
Does this work on windows 11?

Have a look in the comments. People share some issues with the process and how to solve problems.
I just hate how you have to have 60 gigs to unzip a 30 gig file. Shit is stupid
Tyyyysmmmm

there is no option for me to extract all. zip files are a burden on humanity. should not exist
DIDN'T WORK
Make sure the zip archive is one supported by Windows. If not, you'll need to download and use a third-party application like 7Zip.
