Haegeum has two meanings:
It's a traditional string instrument (you hear it at the beginning and along the song)
About the trilogy, it begins in 2020 with the song Daechwita and it ends in 2023 with Haegeum and Amygdala as closure.
Amygdala is really emotional and hard
It also means "lifting a ban"
Love the trilogy, you'll find out more about his struggles & of course his perseverance through it all.
ANMODALA is a little part of the brain that controls memories, emotions etc. That's the saddest one but you'll understand why he is so inspirational for all who have battle & continues to battle mental issues. He's a strong, strong person. I truly love & appreciate his life.

Kpop 'Idols' aren't supposed to smoke and some kpop Idol's who have been caught smoking have received a lot of online hate and even been dropped by their Music labels. So Suga smoking in his MV is a real statement that will cause some koppies to go stir crazy. In fact there were a lot of people not ARMY who complained on social media that Suga shouldn't be smoking as it will encourage children to smoke errmmmm he's an adult and most people who will be listening and watching him are old enough to already have decide either to smoke or not smoke. Same people who think kpop and other artist shouldn't have tattoo's because children will run off and get tattoo's done. Yeah right sure they will but I don't know where it's cheap to have a tattoo done so that children can get them done, also most countries have laws on how old someone has to be to get a tattoo. It's the reason some people don't like BTS as well they all have tattoos ok Jungkook's one's are very evident and we've all seen Jimins one's that are covered most of the time. But all 7 have shown their tattoo's on social media. Oh dear shock horror BTS breaking general Kpop Industry rules again.
Haegeum is a 2 stringed Traditional Korean instrument that's played with a bow and it the word also means 'to lift a ban' off something unlawful and/or something that's a social/culturally looked down upon/not approved of.
All of them... 😅😅 The thing with Suga is, that he talk a lot about him, his feelings his thoughts his struggles.. (mind struggles) a long with sociaty issues... So all this topics are very serious, so his rap is very serious and dark it's a punch every time...
I feel you -- I only ever listened to alternative & alt-rock my whole life (The Cure to Foo Fighters) and hated rap/hip-hop -- but then I discovered BTS and their music, and now their rap songs are among my top favorites, easy
It's refreshing, as an American, to hear rap that isn't full of sex & violence & misogyny -- BTS' rapline gives us songs that go hard, but also tell a story or have an important message
You need to watch his song Shadow it’s brilliant !
This trilogy cemented Suga as my bias when I was first getting into bts. it was also the first solo project I was there for, so that was kind of cool. I've been going through their videos just like you playing catch up so hopefully when they tour and if I can get tickets, I can truly enjoy the experience when they get back from the army

The scar, makeup, is very pronounced in the first in the trilogy, Daechwita, less in this one and when you get to the last, Amygdala, you see how it comes about for this part of his Persona. Amygdala is very personal and talks about his life experiences.
This is one of my favorites of his although when I need courage, the first song on the album is my go to.

For this and Daechwita, I recommend just planning to watch 3 times - once just to take it in, once to pay attention to the visual story, and once to pay attention to the lyrics. There's too much all at once 😂 it's amazing, so many layers

He is beloved by many, and it is well deserved. This man is a genius, and his music resonates with Army and non army alike, you cannot listen to his music and not connect to it/him on some level. Yoongi/Suga/Agust D is amazing.

If you have a chance you should really rewatch and catch all the lyrics. It's much more than looking cool or making things cinematic. The lyrics are actually quite profound and many Agust D fans will tell you it's the lyrics, mate. Yeah, the swag and delivery, straight up fire but he's a pretty deep guy. We don't mind if you stop and go back a bit to catch them. It is all hard to take in on a first viewing, as we know all too well. 👍
For Haegum in particular, the lyrics are critical: first the ban lifting element and then Suga’s reprioritization of his earlier flexing and “corruption.” First listen for the flow and watch the movie, then read and process the lyrics.
