They are the dark angels of Kpop and the only girl group who consistently incorporate Rock and Metal in their title tracks, fusing that with Kpop into something that basically is a new genre. They also are drenched in horror and social criticism, which again is special. Plus, they are massively talented, all of them. And while the girls look like they could rip out your spine when they are on stage, off stage they are adorable crackheads. 😉 Boca means "mouth" in Spanish and Portuguese and is part 2 of the Dystopia trilogy, which deals with bullying and hate comments, in particular the online variant ("A trick behind a mask, a ridiculous freak" from Scream). Boca has the lines "Why do you fill your precious time with hate" and "Too many angels dying now", which points to the effects those comments can have. Several Kpop idols have committed suicide in recent years, most likely because of cyber-bullying, but this is also about all the unnamed people who suffer from online bullies. A girlgroup tackling such a subject impresses the hell out of me. They literally go to war in this video and tell haters to go and shut their "Boca" in the lyrics. And the song is absolutely awesome! Who said you can't have three different musical genres in one song?
Dreamcatcher genre is about fusing rock or metal sounds with whatever else they feel like that song, Boca started moombahton, and top level vocals with power or delicate softness depending on the message in that part of the song. Boca is one of their biggest songs ever for most fans, known as Insomnia. An all-time classic Piri and their release last week Justice are both strong on the rock side. Vision is a little grittier, Deja Vu and Bon Voyage put more emphasis than other title tracks on the beauty in their vocals... but are still Dreamcatcher songs too. DREAMCATCHER BOCA: In the MV there are two sides of each member. A good side and a bad side. I think the good side is taking place in the past before the dystopia began and the girls were good and protecting the tree. It shows how the world and the girls were before. And the bad sides of them are taking place in the present. Also I recognized all bad happenings are shown with the color red. The tree that was hurt. The girls who become evil. The tapes of the statues and the room where Sua stands.In the beginning a person behind a mask can be seen holding a phone in his hands. The mask represents the anonomity and the phone cybermobbing. The person represents people in society who want to hurt you by words.So each member is attacked by these evil words and this can be seen in many scenes. Dami who is offended by the creatures while she is standing on a podest. Though all are reaching out for her she can not be hurt. As well in the scene where hands behind her try to hurt her but can't as a material is between them.Siyeon stands in the center of sculptures facing her trying to offend her with words. But just like Dami Siyeon can't be attacked since red tapes are covering their mouths.Yoohyeon is placed in between many raindrops who seem to have stopped falling down. Raindrops actually stand for the victims of hate.Also she is shooting herself in the place with the raindrops with a crossbow from the place where she is already bad. Representing the fact that the evil language of the Dystopia is able to change people to the point that they can hurt themselves as a consequence of hate.As Yoohyeon, Dami and Siyeon, Gahyun also tries to defeat the hate by covering her ears and closing her eyes to ignore and shut out the evil.Jiu walks by the masked person avoiding to get hurt. Sua stands in a red room. As I already mentioned red stands for evilness. The walls of the room are covered with bad and evil words. And the room doesn't seem stable. Sua herself looks confused and lost. But as the other girls she finds a way to defeat the hate: by finding and opening a door.So in conclusion: could the girls defeat the evil? We don't know. Since we see Gahyun crying it could end bad. And the tree is still sick. The evilness is still spreading.But we don't know yet. Because like Scream it's an open ending. And just as in the Scream MV we see a mask lying on the floor covered with evil words. The tree of the three of language thats what they call it, Scream, Boca, Odd Eye so the Era of the Utopia ends (Symbolic of hear no evil (Scream) , speak no evil (Boca) , see no evil (Odd Eye) This tree determines the whole world. As Jiu mentioned in an interview: the tree wears good fruits when people say good things and wears bad fruits when people say bad things. And as we can tell by the phrase: the world now is evil. I guess Gahyun caused this since she touched the crystal in Scream which probably is the heart of the tree and then the tree who might keeps the balance in this world disrupted it. Also she wears the mask which can be seen in Boca too. It represents the fact of the evil one hiding and due to that she can't be identified as the one who caused this. Also everyone points at her in one scene showing she is the cause of the dystopia.All people living in this world are becoming evil. It's the beginning of a dystopia

one of my biggest highlights is gahyeon's rap part in boca, you didn't know the song and didn't know what was coming and i can understand that you pause right after the chorus, but i was so excited and so happy that the part was coming and then you press pause haha x3
Personally this song ranks somewhere in the mid tier of their title tracks, although a lot of insomnias (dreamcatcher fandom name) probably like it more than I do. For me their top tier title tracks are Deja Vu, odd eye, Bon voyage and Justice.
Boca is definitely among my least favorite lol, I'm sure a lot of Somnia agree with me. The only reason why it's so famous is due to Dami's rap gone viral on tiktok. Though it doesn't mean I don't like Boca though, not as much as other tracks
I actually like it now, but this was the only Dreamcatcher TT that for me to like I had to listen to several times, even OOTD I liked it the first time (and several people hated it lol 😅), BOCA is not my favorite either, However, it's not a bad song, it just didn't win me over in the way it won over everyone else, Deja Vu is my favorite, and it's the one that made me become a fan.

And they also released a mv called SHADOW (there are 2 versions, which are ORIGINAL version and SLOW version) as a soundtrack for a Korean horror-thriller drama called Dark Hole. In the MV there are two sides of each member. A good side and a bad side. I think the good side is taking place in the past before the dystopia began and the girls were good and protecting the
tree. It shows how the world and the girls were before. And the bad sides of them are taking place in the present. Also I
recognized all bad happenings are shown with the color red. The tree that was hurt. The girls who become evil. The tapes of the
statues and the room where Sua stands.In the beginning a person behind a mask can be seen holding a phone in his hands.
The mask represents the anonomity and the phone cybermobbing. The person represents people in society who
want to hurt you by words.So each member is attacked by these evil words and this can be seen in many scenes. Dami who is offended by the creatures while she is standing on a podest.
Though all are reaching out for her she can not be hurt. As well in the scene where hands behind her try to hurt her but
can't as a material is between them.Siyeon stands in the center of sculptures facing her trying to offend her with words. But just
like Dami Siyeon can't be attacked since red tapes are covering their mouths.Yoohyeon is placed in between many raindrops who seem to have stopped falling down. Raindrops actually stand for the victims of hate.Also she is shooting herself in the place with
the raindrops with a crossbow from the place where she is already bad. Representing the fact that the evil language of the Dystopia is able to change people to the point that they can hurt
themselves as a consequence of hate.As Yoohyeon, Dami and Siyeon, Gahyun also tries to defeat the hate by covering her
ears and closing her eyes to ignore and shut out the evil.Jiu walks by the masked person avoiding to get hurt. Sua stands in a red room. As I already mentioned red stands for evilness. The walls of the room are covered with bad and evil words. And the room doesn't seem stable. Sua herself looks confused and lost. But as the other girls she finds a way to defeat the hate: by finding and opening a door.So in conclusion: could the girls defeat the evil? We don't know. Since we see Gahyun
crying it could end bad. And the tree is still sick. The evilness is still spreading.But we don't know yet. Because like Scream it's an
open ending. And just as in the Scream MV we see a mask lying on the floor covered with evil words.
The tree of the three of language thats what they call it, Scream, Boca, Odd Eye so the Era of the Utopia ends (Symbolic of hear no evil (Scream) , speak no evil (Boca) , see no evil (Odd Eye) This tree determines the whole world. As Jiu mentioned in an interview: the tree wears good fruits when people say good
things and wears bad fruits when people say bad things. And as we can tell by the phrase: the world now is evil. I guess Gahyun caused this since she touched the crystal in Scream which probably is the heart of the tree and then the tree who might keeps the balance in this world disrupted it. Also she wears the mask which can be seen in Boca too. It represents the fact of the evil one hiding and due to that she can't be identified as the one who caused this. Also everyone points at her in one scene showing she is the cause of the dystopia.All people living in this world are becoming evil. It's the beginning of a dystopia

one of my biggest highlights is gahyeon's rap part in boca, you didn't know the song and didn't know what was coming and i can understand that you pause right after the chorus, but i was so excited and so happy that the part was coming and then you press pause haha x3

Personally this song ranks somewhere in the mid tier of their title tracks, although a lot of insomnias (dreamcatcher fandom name) probably like it more than I do. For me their top tier title tracks are Deja Vu, odd eye, Bon voyage and Justice.
Boca is definitely among my least favorite lol, I'm sure a lot of Somnia agree with me. The only reason why it's so famous is due to Dami's rap gone viral on tiktok. Though it doesn't mean I don't like Boca though, not as much as other tracks
I actually like it now, but this was the only Dreamcatcher TT that for me to like I had to listen to several times, even OOTD I liked it the first time (and several people hated it lol 😅), BOCA is not my favorite either, However, it's not a bad song, it just didn't win me over in the way it won over everyone else, Deja Vu is my favorite, and it's the one that made me become a fan.
