This is a great strategy as I would probably have joined the rush to Harry Potter and now I realise that's a mistake. Most people visiting parks don't even have a strategy at all, they stop at the first attraction or the kids are distracted by something in a shop. Even if all of the viewers of this channel went to Isle of Berk first, it will still be less crowded than heading to the biggest rides first. You absolutely need to plan 2 days for this park, and preferably give it a few months before attending. LOL

I believe they already employ virtual lines for Nintendo world on busy days. Also, Dark Universe fans may want to go there at night instead of first thing during the day.

Nothing against this plan, but I feel all plans will inevitably be thrown out the window amongst the chaos of opening day. I find it hard to believe that walking onto Stardust Racers back to back will be an option, but if that works out what a fantastic start to the day! Really looking forward to visiting Orlando and keep up the great videos
If you rope drop it you will if operations are good as most coasters are walk on for first 30 mins of opening due to high capacity. Most will be going to the lands first.
Yeah I was thinking given stardust racers is in the centre and is so a visitor pull visually being this big coaster plus being one of the most anticipated rides could well be overwhelmingly busy the whole day, especially cause the night time show might be visible from it LOL
@@austiniscoolduh "something" will be near walk on for the first couple hours. That's exactly how Mummy and Hulk are due to them being less popular then the new HP stuff. It works out that way simply because people can only get into the park so fast.

Honestly, being there both night and day will be two totally different experiences. I honestly am looking forward to Dark Universe at night. Im sure the park in general will be amazing at night.
It's hard to picture donkey kong ever having short lines. The capacity looks to be pretty low but will be one of the most anticipated rides at the park and have high demand as it's a family coaster. Will probably only be able to do this as a rope drop if you don't want to wait over two hours.

Yessss, the 11am lunchtime hack works at ALL the parks and we use it every time. We've avoided so many long lines, and saved so much time by not going at 12 with 95% of parkgoers. Plus when you ropedrop, you're hungry by 11am anyway, you've been up since like 5 or 6!! Will never go back to the frustration of noon-1pm lunch lines and cooking waits. Also, use mobile order wherever possible, BEFORE you are on the way to grab lunch.
It is a good plan that will probably go out the window once rides start breaking down on the first day. The best thing is to remember Epic Universe will be there for decades so their will be plenty of time to get everything done if you can make ir back.
Bold but not so bold prediction: nothing will be a walk on, especially opening day. You’re talking about a brand new major theme park that people have been waiting years for, every attraction will have a 2+ hour wait.
I think you may be wrong about the amount of families. From my understanding you won’t be able to purchase Universe only tickets at opening. You’ll need a package deal that includes the other parks to attend. That *will* include families. Second Dragons being next to the other family area, Mario, will get the overflow from that land most likely.
Very good video. My family and I have been going to Orlando theme parks and our home park here in NC (Carowinds) for decades. We use nearly every one of these timing tips (plus other things we do) to get the most out of our park days. It's like second nature to us now, lol. We have actually never once purchased an express pass at any theme park and have never had to wait more than 45 minutes for an attraction, it's usually less. We also would never, ever go during a peak time. If we want to see Christmas decorations, we go early/mid November. I will be going to Universal in late January 2025. But our whole family will be going to Epic Universe, as well as US/IOA, in early November 2025. I can express just how excited all of us are. Again, great video.
@@AttractionIdeas Not everyone will even get to see the ceremony most likely. I was at the gate at 5 am for the opening of Hagrids in 2019, but there was so many people that we didn’t even get to see the ceremony and universal pretty much had us wait for an extra hour or two because of it. You have a good plan, but I honestly wouldn’t expect to get absolutely everything done at the park on day one if you do go. @@AttractionIdeasWell it looks like the Helios Hotel will allow guests to enter 1 hour early on opening day according to Alicia at Theme Park Stop. So I hope you got you hotel reservation, or else you’re screwed with crowds
I’m planning to be there on Opening Day! I’m looking forward to riding Constellation Carousel and Harry Potter: Battle at The Ministry, multiple times in a day! And then, watching The Nighttime Spectacular every night! I can’t wait! I hope to see everybody there!
When I eventually get there, I’m rope dropping Dark Universe for sure. Monster’s Unchained first, then window shopping for later, then Curse of the Werewolf. Will probably do an early lunch at either Burning Blade or Das Stakehaus. Then I’m going to the hub so I can do the Celestial Carrousel and Stardust Racers. Then Nintendo World to go on Mine Cart Madness first, then window shop again, then ride Mario Kart and Yoshi’s Adventure after. I’d then hit up How to Train Your Dragon (not entirely sure what order I’d do the rides in tbh) and then ride Battle at the Ministry. For dinner I’d either go with Meteor Astropub or whichever restaurant I didn’t go to at Dark Universe 💀 if it’s before sundown I’ll go back to hub to watch the passing of the torch between the Helios and Luna before doing all of my shopping and then relax in Celestial Park waiting for the nighttime show and watching Stardust Racers run at night. I’ve been dreaming about this for so long and am already saving my money to go when I can 😂
In my experience running to Hagrid's at rope drop, you'll still have plenty of time in the line to catch your breath. Because of how far the HP areas are from the entrance, you will easily cut 40+ min from all the people you pass on the way to the queue. The wait will still be long, so if you'd rather go on the less popular rides first, you can do that while the Big Ride lines go down.
I think day one the main priorities should be Harry Potter and Dark Universe. Many of the people there on the first day are going to be die hard of Universal so chances are they’ve gone to either the Hollywood or Japan Nintendo worlds and experienced Mario Kart, the only ride there that I think will be crowded will be Donkey Kong. Every other ride will be exclusive to epic universe and many more people will go to those. As someone that has ridden Mario kart I think it’s a skippable ride that is on par with Minion Mayhem so if it has long lines just skip it
On opening day I will be waking up at like 3:00 just to get near the front. Once those gates open I’m going A-train to be the first ever on Stardust Racers.
Only issue for someone like me is that I would really want to save Dark Universe for last so that when it’s nighttime I can get the most atmospheric experience possible for that land.
100%, opening day consists of die hards and locals. I thought this video was a great idea. Made me feel excited to imagine what it would be like to actually be there opening day 😂
I think die hards and vlogers there will have already been before official opening day. Universal need to rigorously test everything before opening, by bet is they offer limited capacity advanced openings at ridiculously high price for a few weeks. Maybe they start with capacity of 1000 people at price of £1000+ that get the VIP treatment and goodie bags. each day they increase capacity slightly while reducing the price, while reducing the value of the goodie bags. Doing it that way they can cope if an attraction has any teething problems and give people good experience
I think most likely there will be separate lines in the beginning of the park for each land. Essentially each land will be at capacity all day so even getting in will be a long wait. If this is the case I can see celestial park being the staging area or the waiting area for all the lands.
I've been to opening day of every park in Orlando, except Magic Kingdom. Some were easy (Disney-MGM, Animal Kingdom, even IOA). Some were outright disasters where everything broke down (USF, Epcot). But predicting the crowds can be tricky. Everyone expected Magic Kingdom to be swamped - onky 10,000 showed. EPCOT was the opposite - totally packed . USF gave the appearence of being packed because of so little to do. So, either it will be swamped or if everyone is scared off (lke MK) it wont be, Fingers crossed
Do you think there will be a good viewing area for the Night show for the people staying at the Helios Grand Hotel? If so that could be another way to not have to worry about beating the crowd and getting extra rides in
Is there any specific month epic universe is opening? Or is it just a wait until they announce it situation, I’d love to go in October around Halloween but if it’s within the first 3 months of opening I’ll just wait until next year to take my trip
This video is hype. Opening day sure does have big appeal, I can dig it! Probs not in the cards for me though; I hope you do it Attraction Ideas, and tell us how it went!!
The trick is to simply not visit the park within the first few months of opening day. Not having to fight the hoards of people is worth the wait for me.
I wonder if fast passes would work? And do you think it’d be a good time to go to epic universe whenever school is back in session like you know in August?
In my opinion for the first month pretty much every ride will have well over 1 hour waits for the vast majority of the day so in my opinion you should just do what you want to do because you’re going to have to wait in long lines anyways.
Pretty high. I wouldn’t be surprised if universal doesn’t have an actual limit to how many tickets they actually sell for opening day. Just like how they have thrived on the opening day helicopter shots of 10+ hour waits for Diagon Alley or more recently Hagrids in 2019, having a ton of people everywhere brings them more headlines from local and national news which ultimately brings them more attention and business for the park.
I think it will be HP > Monsters > Mario as the most popular dark rides at rope drop. However the best coasters will be star coaster > dragon coaster > DK > spinner. So it really depends if more coaster enthusiasts or theme park enthusiasts show up on day one. I personally will be skipping the B rides and focusing on Monsters, HP, Star Coaster, Dragon Coaster, DK Coaster, Mario
“You’re going to want to be there, opening day, right? That’s why you’re watching this video?” Me: “…yeaaaaahhh….” (Planning at minimum 6 months later, or preferably like early September)
I'm excited to be lost in universal studios. I mean I might know a little bit from going on Minecraft servers, but being lost in universal Orlando is going to be such a thrill at least in my opinion we'll see what happens. Me and a friend are going to try going in 2026 if we've got enough money saved together, but that's a pretty big IF. By the way I kind of do know some of the Islands of adventure map from playing on Minecraft, but I can't say that I know universal studios yet because there's nothing to explore there on the servers I use.
Let’s be honest…Based on previous new theme park openings it’s going to be a mess for a while. Rides will be down, issues with food service, overcrowding, etc. guest complaints will be abundant until the kinks get worked out. Count on it. Any day 1 plans won’t last long.
I love the optimism from Attraction Ideas but truth of the matter is if you get to experience 2 portals on opening day that will be a success each Portal looks to have poor capacity there’s probably going to be a cap if I was to guess just from these virtual walk throughs
I plam to visit in either November or March, after Halloween Horror Nights/Marci Gras itself, but before Thanksgiving/Christmas/Holy Week/Passover/High School Spring Break. The crowds will be smaller than at other times of the year, but Volcano Bay and most of the dry park water rides will be open and not down for annual maintenance.. My dining plans will have to wait until they publish their menus. If the Berk Festhall features gravlax, herring, and/or rakfisk, I'm there for breakfast. Otherwise, that meal will be at Starbucks. The rest I'll play by ear.
I'm hitting up Stardust Racers first as that will have the longest queue pretty much all day. Then its off to Dark Universe. Breakfast is a must as even though the adrenaline will tide you over for a few hours, hunger will hit hard after only 2 or 3 rides and you can save lunch for when the dining locations have quieted down from following your plan.
We also have to factor in that universal being owned by Comcast and all will probably invite today show, celebrities, important people, critics, streamers and they will all be in the front of the line on opening day even if they come after the people who came at 4am the special guests will go in first then everyone else
The fact that there isn’t any httyd parks in the United States it would probably have quite a few people also considering it not as big as Mario or Harry Potter but it still has a pretty big fan base because they have multiple shows, movies, and holiday specials so there going to quite a few people there also considering it so close to the entrance

If you don’t start off with Donkey Kong you’re absolutely cooked.
Only issue for someone like me is that I would really want to save Dark Universe for last so that when it’s nighttime I can get the most atmospheric experience possible for that land.
Are you excited for it bro ?😊
What do you think?
@stevepage4504 that's a great idea.
I think most likely there will be separate lines in the beginning of the park for each land. Essentially each land will be at capacity all day so even getting in will be a long wait. If this is the case I can see celestial park being the staging area or the waiting area for all the lands.
If anyone thinks that any part of this park will have less than a 2hr wait on opening day ur kidding yourself lol.
No date yet, still just “2025”.
It’s probably gonna be crazy for the first year maybe even two
I wonder if fast passes would work? And do you think it’d be a good time to go to epic universe whenever school is back in session like you know in August?
Universal does not have fastpass.
@ interesting
@@TVTIME-be8ze it's Express. Fast pass is a Disney thing.
@ oh ok
In my opinion for the first month pretty much every ride will have well over 1 hour waits for the vast majority of the day so in my opinion you should just do what you want to do because you’re going to have to wait in long lines anyways.
I wake up screaming at Jane to get a job
It'll be crazy if opening day doesn't get as crowded as predicted due to people avoiding the mass mobs.
I watched the whole video as if I was going to come to the opening, even though I live in France...
Plenty of Brits make the trip across the pond to Orlando each year, it’s only an extra hour or so on the plane for you.
I will wait until December.
what are the chances everything just has a 3 hour line all day on opening day?
This plan is pretty on point🤔
Amazing gameplan! Too bad I’ve got no money and hate crowds
“You’re going to want to be there, opening day, right? That’s why you’re watching this video?”
Me: “…yeaaaaahhh….” (Planning at minimum 6 months later, or preferably like early September)
Not gonna lie, I'm a fast walker and I'm going to zoom to dark universe then I'm heading to Harry potter just for the sake of my mom XD
My family doesn’t really do lunch at parks, normally we just bring like a granola bar and Peanut Butter Sandwich.
Let’s be honest…Based on previous new theme park openings it’s going to be a mess for a while. Rides will be down, issues with food service, overcrowding, etc. guest complaints will be abundant until the kinks get worked out. Count on it. Any day 1 plans won’t last long.
Hmm, getting back to back rides on any attraction on opening day seems like a huge stretch, but bon chance to you!
What are the park hrs?
Please film a video of you trying this out on opening day.
Are you gonna do meetups opening day?
If they do a few weeks of AP previews, I wonder if that will make opening day not so crazy
The rest I'll play by ear.
another w video
I'm hitting up Stardust Racers first as that will have the longest queue pretty much all day. Then its off to Dark Universe. Breakfast is a must as even though the adrenaline will tide you over for a few hours, hunger will hit hard after only 2 or 3 rides and you can save lunch for when the dining locations have quieted down from following your plan.
People don’t like the video we need to keep this a secret or else the plan won’t work🤐
We also have to factor in that universal being owned by Comcast and all will probably invite today show, celebrities, important people, critics, streamers and they will all be in the front of the line on opening day even if they come after the people who came at 4am the special guests will go in first then everyone else
The fact that there isn’t any httyd parks in the United States it would probably have quite a few people also considering it not as big as Mario or Harry Potter but it still has a pretty big fan base because they have multiple shows, movies, and holiday specials so there going to quite a few people there also considering it so close to the entrance
