i'm preparing by not going till maybe 2028 oe 2029. let them fully work out any kinks, and let the hype cool down so I can enjoy it while not getting overwhelmed
It’s still gonna be considered the “new park” in 4-5 years from now and by then they’ll probably have added expansion like Luigi’s Mansion or a Creature From the Black Lagoon ride. Tbh after the first month maybe, crowds will be about the same permanently lol
@@ErrisOfficial well being honest i can handle crowds just fine. I'm more waiting so they can get all the kinks out of the rides and coasters. i figured after 4 years of waiting they'd be in a good spot.
The Donkey Kong Country part of Super Nintendo World is more so rooted in Donkey Kong Country Returns than the original 1994 SNES release. Especially with Donkey Kong's treehouse and such.
As a Mario fan, here are the game's I think you should at least watch a video on before going to Epic Universe when it opens next year, ESPECIALLY if you have next to no knowledge on Mario besides the Mario Movie, there are actually a few you should look into! - Donkey Kong (1981): The origin game of both Mario and Donkey Kong, absolutely essential to visiting the park, and the game only lasts about 10 minutes, so it's super easy to pick up and play! Introduces iconic staples of the series like Mario attacking with a hammer, Donkey Kong attacking with barrels, and the classic obstacle course concepts of both franchises. - Super Mario Bros. (1985): The game that started the main Super Mario games, no duh. Teaches you the basics, running and jumping, the three core power-up types, all the mechanics of the Mushroom Kingdom, warp pipes, Bowser and his minions, along with giving a taste of Mario's original gameplay style. - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (1995): The starring debut of Yoshi, and the first game in the larger Yoshi series. The Yoshi's Adventure ride takes a majority of its theming from this game's style. Shy Guys as major enemies, Yoshi eggs, Smiley Flowers, Baby Yoshi's, along with the baby counterparts of the Mario characters, all appear in this game. - Donkey Kong Country Returns (2010): The modern platform revival of the Donkey Kong Country series, and the game that the Donkey Kong theme park land is mostly based upon! This game can get you familiar with the characters of Donkey Kong island, like DK's best buddy Diddy Kong, and his Grand Father Cranky Kong! This game also introduces major elements like the Golden Temple, Golden Banana, the animal buddies like Rambi the Rhino, along with the Tiki Tak Tribe! - Super Mario 64 (1996): The very first 3D game in the Super Mario series, introducing the modern look for areas like Princess Peach's Castle, and the current designs for characters like the original Goomba's and the explosive Bob-ombs. Since Super Nintendo World is a fairly explorative park based around completing objectives through that exploration, Mario 64 is a perfect way to learn where that philosophy started! - Super Mario Galaxy (2007): Mario's grand journey into the far reaches of space, introducing the now iconic orchestral style to the Mario series music. This game explains the power of the many stars in the Mario games, while also introducing Rosalina, the guarding of all the many stars across the universe. Not to mention, Super Mario Galaxy is one of the most acclaimed video games of all time, it's a must for anyone visiting the park. - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (2017): The most recent game in the Mario Kart series, and the one that Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge is themed around. The dark ride features 8 tracks from across this game in its runtime, and the queue takes place within Bowser's Keep, a recurring area from many of the Mario games. Also introduces concepts like item boxes, karts, and Lakitu as the flagman for all the races. Each of these games stands apart as an important milestone in the history of their respective series, and regardless of the amount of narrative in these games, the mechanical and thematic identities of these works is better experienced in the games of origin than the "readers digest" version seen in the 2023 film.
I think the capacity of the attractions at Epic Universe will be much higher than Hollywood Studios. Seeing their most recent gives me more confidence that an all new park can probably get a lot more guests through each attraction.
With tik tok and reels nowadays it’s so hard to avoid pov ride spoilers. So many new rides have been spoiled just from scrolling on tik tok cuz there’s no warning. And of course my algorithm knows I’m a theme park girlie so it pushes SOOO many of these POVs. I always try to swipe but sometimes it’s too late! The amount of Tiana’s spoilers I’ve seen this way is disappointing
I've just accepted it and have a resolve to being spoiled. Going into the park with non enthusiasts, were going to look like seasoned guides. 🤣🤣🤣 We already know everything about the whole shebang. We'll navigate the park and rides better than the employes. 🍻🥂🍻🥂
We're going on opening day because we had already planned a cruise starting the next Sunday, but we're flying in the 20th and staying at a Universal hotel. Using the 21st to get over any jetlag and city walk and having cowfish for Linner. (I've been dreaming of that sushi burger ever since the last time I went) While crowds are going to be insane, it's going to be early to bed, early to rise so we can be there early enough to rope drop and head straight for Harry Potter, also express passes are a must for us if they will have them because we're flying in from WA State, so we don't go as often as some
Universal Orlando Resorts announced on Twitter back on 10/22/24 that Express passes for Epic will be "launched at a later date before the park opens" so looks like it will be day one but this is not a 100% confirmation. Also no guarantee that it will even be available on every attraction (considering Hagrid 5 years later still does not have express pass). Also since you mentioned a Universal Hotel there is rumors and some confirmation from "non-universal sources" that none of the hotels will offer Express bundled in like the 3 original Lowes hotels do for Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure.
I’ve gone to Orlando parks so many times when I was young and started to out grow them once and a while. And when I get older I learned it’s better to go and experience the moment with your friends and love ones then experiencing it alone and I haven’t gone to another amusement park since 2019. So yes I’m gonna spoil myself with rides and shows. I wanna plan it good cause there will be no other theme park as good as epic universe to me. With all do respect. Thank you
Going within the first year is better if you want to see all the original intended effects working in an attraction...... it may be Disney related but Rise of the Resistance was so much cooler before they started to shut off effects.
For the Nintendo section, the "Must Watch" (more like "Must Play") to me would be Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Yoshi's Island, and Super Mario 3D World. I'd argue the two lands take the most inspiration from DKCR and SM3DW
Honestly my solution is: #1 early rope drop and book it to high wait rides #2 get all rides done first before exploring #3 book the trip for more then one day. At least 3 days minimum and that’s a guarantee to ride 90% of the parks rides and attractions
I’d probably ideally go to Epic U around late April 2026 when everyone is back to work/school after Easter Break. I’d plan a week at Universal Orlando and buy a package that includes at least 2 days at Epic Universe. I’d go to Universal Studios first, then Volcano Bay, then have a resort day at most likely Cabana Bay (relax in the lazy river, bowl, ex), then go to Islands of Adventure, and then for the last 2 days, wake up early for Epic Universe and try to get as much done as possible. As for the last day, wake up a bit later (sleep in a bit) and try to enjoy EU a bit more lol, maybe watch the shows!
Comparing EU to HS is not fair to EU. Half the rides at the HS are not popular or have low capacity. This makes the wait times for the rides people actually want to ride even longer. Another thing, I’m not sure there will be any major technical problems with the EU. Universal knows that they can make or break their future with this park; they’re bringing us a very well-tested park.
My boyfriend and I are those people planning a late 2026 or 2027 Trip. Crowds are only part of the reason. We want them to work out the “kinks” and give them time to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Maybe a small expansion or a few new rides by then as well.
Do you think they'll change course on the existing policy closer to park opening? Currently, I think you can only get Epic Universe tickets in a package with the other two parks.
i’d love to be able to avoid ride pov’s. however, i have no clue when i’ll be able to go back to orlando. i’m too excited for epic universe to not know anything after it opens. it could be 10 years of waiting, but i’m sure once i’m there i’ll be just as excited as i would be if i didn’t watch povs.
I plan to go in late August. Hopefully it won’t be ‘that’ crowded. A lot of people to be expected, sure, but hopefully it will be a bit more manageable.
While this is a pretty good video. The third fantastic beast film is the best out of the three (but it’s not a children’s film). Plus, JK Rowling was writing all new material, as the original Fantastic Beast pamphlet came out in 2001. Also, Yates said “It was on pause”. I won’t be surprised if it’s restarted with a different storyline.
my question is when will single day tickets go on sale i dont mind doing islands but studios is a half day park til they add pokemon and replace fast with a great movie ride. ill make plans based on how early those start going on sale.
I’ve already seen the Donkey Kong POV, which didn’t make a difference to me. But I’m going to attempt to not watch any of them, I’m not sure if I will be successful 😅
Reasons why not to go in September is well one major thing that happens during that time of year: HURRICANES!!! Go ahead and risk it and if you like to get drenched in water but there is a reason why its in the negative in attendance during that time of year. But you are right in that it doesn't matter what year you go the crowds will be jam packed on peak attendance seasons like holidays and long breaks.
Okay, the show in How to Train Your Dragon: Isle of Berk does not recap the movies in any way at all. It's a completely different side story. Its a (spoiler free) simple story of a dragon that has a problem that needs to be solved before its willing to be trained; hence its title, The Untrainable Dragon. Its a 30ish minute show with amazing visual effects and animatronics.
Has a Harry Potter fan I will never watch fantastic beasts 3 ever again because the writing was just terrible I knew it was going to happen in the last 20 minutes from moment 20 basically so I was let down by that ending
Look, I'm going to Epic two months after opening day. BRING ON THE CROWDS!!! 😂
i'm preparing by not going till maybe 2028 oe 2029. let them fully work out any kinks, and let the hype cool down so I can enjoy it while not getting overwhelmed
Nah way too long
@@MrBaseball4 i've got my vacations from 2025 thru 2028 set in stone, and sadly epic universe isn't going to change it.
maybe push it out to aroudn 2035/36, then you know the crowds won't be so bad, lol.
It’s still gonna be considered the “new park” in 4-5 years from now and by then they’ll probably have added expansion like Luigi’s Mansion or a Creature From the Black Lagoon ride. Tbh after the first month maybe, crowds will be about the same permanently lol

Not to mention Tiki Tong being the villain of the ride rather then the Kremlings.
I just realized that’s why the game is going to be rereleased on the switch next year it’s so obvious now
and the rest of it is basically only based on mario 3d world
I bought the 30 movie Universal Classic Monsters collection because that’s the land I’m most excited about.
Ain’t no video like a attraction ideas video

I now finally gave a reason to watch all the Harry Potter films. I was just mentioning it early, which is really funny too.
I watched all the HP films after visiting the HP land at Universal Hollywood in 2018 and being utterly enchanted by it.
I think the capacity of the attractions at Epic Universe will be much higher than Hollywood Studios. Seeing their most recent gives me more confidence that an all new park can probably get a lot more guests through each attraction.

In my opinion, Fantastic Beasts is a must watch for the land experience.
Forgot "This Island Earth" in the must watch for monsters, as it features the Metaluna Mutant
I upgraded my resident pass from preferred to premier, can't wait to go to Epic.
Why? There are no APs for epic yet
