    Nice! This really captures the creek crossings. Excellent video. I haven't seen the avalanche remains like this before. Wow!

    Wow, those were some crazy water crossings. Seems like we saw more water than dry land in this one! I would be afraid to drive them without walking them, but even walking them looks daunting, LOL. Great episode!

      haha i was going pretty slow in the first clip because it was a little muddy and i didn't want to fall in a hole. once i came out of the straight where the 2nd clip of the van starts that water was so clear i could see it was deep but not crazy. i'd go deeper than this but definitely not more flow.

      yea it’s pretty intense, i try to never have mounted stuff (these crossings were too long to not though!) and like Ballard Road took almost 7hrs to film. i always think i hate it and “this is my last video like this!” but when i get home and start editing it’s all worth it. if you’re going to get a tripod buy it nice or buy it twice (thrice in my case 🙄), i’ve been using the MeFOTO Roadtrip and it saves me so much time per shot it’s crazy. plus i’ve had it bouncing around, leveraged by the camera, wedged in cracks, stuff falling on it and it keeps going. never thought i’d care so much about a tripod and thought the prices were insane but after using 2 $30 units it’s clear this thing is a perfect balance of cost and quality. thanks for watching!

    I've wanted to try this one for a while but was nervous about the depth of the water crossing. Especially with the snowmelt this summer. Might have to try it in the fall. Thanks for sharing!

      by then it’ll be open to the top too, i might do Part 2 when it’s open but not sure if it’ll be too short. maybe just put it after the shot in another video.

    This is the exact trail you need to drive for the 4WD trailhead if you want to take the West Route for Missouri Mountain 14er. Seeing as this video was taken in July or earlier, river waterflow should be substantially less onward until the winter. Thanks for the video! It gives me some perspective.

    There is a trail there? I was camping along there a few weeks ago and looking for somewhere to off road. If you follow the main road to the end at winifeld there is more off roading but all that was closed from the avalanches. I never knew about this one, looks like a really fun trail.

    • @BRollOffroad
      @BRollOffroad  5 лет назад

      trailsoffroad even mentions how hard it is to find, we only found it because it popped up on the Garmin when we drove by. i’ve seen this trail online before but didn’t know this was it until we got there. pleasant surprise!

    • @BRollOffroad
      @BRollOffroad  5 лет назад +2

      yea it’s an avalanche chute, must happen a lot here because all of the borders have young trees. you can really tell looking at the left side at 3:55, bunch of fresh green babies. what’s amazing and this video doesn’t even portray is that river is 20-30 feet down, that slide went up that steep hill just to get to the trail and then blew out the other side for another 150-200 feet up a hill. must’ve been loud!

    Such a beautiful place destroyed by 4 wheelers driving in the river and making all the water muddy and unlivable for native trout.

    • @BRollOffroad
      @BRollOffroad  2 года назад +1

      it’s a rock bottom, nothing is destroyed, water is same color before and after. it also gets seasonal floods (and avalanches) that completely change the landscape more than our soft, aired down, rubber tires ever will, i promise. i appreciate the concern but we’re not just driving up and down the river doing burnouts tearing stuff up, we respect the land and stay the trail, this one just happens to cross a river in a very select area where it’s been deemed acceptable.

      @@BRollOffroad That's good to know, I think off-roading is super fun as long as it doesn't destroy the environment because it already has a lot of stress on it as it is
