Symphonium is an orange cocoa fragrance.
I use Pikovaya Dama also, as a substitute not to Chanel Nr. 5, but to Amouage Gold Man/Woman. I love incense, rose and aldehydes in my perfumes. I am glad that you like it !

I wonder if you've tried Oscent Rouge by Alexandre J? A juicy fruity fig'n'sandalwood is hard to come by. I love Gris Charnel too but Oscent Rouge sits better on my skin and there's something about it's ingredients and composition that makes it less likely to trigger headaches. Highly recommend.

@@GretaBeth your list was making me think of what I would put on mine. I would probably have to add a fig scent, either philosykos or figuier premier. And some sort of neroli scent. I may have to buy the EBK one, but I do like the scents of wood neroli in acacia. I know you didn’t have the greatest experience with your Dua scents but I bought one that is a mix of Aventus and BR540, and it is great for summer. I would probably add by the fireplace and probably Dolce Garden (which is a lovely coconut scent). Cozy but light scents would probably be bubble bath by Mason Margelia and labdanum by Le labo. Then I would have to have one of the almond scents like Benevolence or the one by Aqua di Parma, or Tobacco Vanille.

Attrape-Reves is a cacao-peony dream. It surprises me how underrated the LV fragrance line is. Adore Le Jour Se Leve, Rose de Vents, Stellar Times and so many others.💕

Contre Moi is one of the best sexy vanilla scents I’ve tried. Hubby got it for me when the collection first rolled out and I loved it ever since.🙌🥰🙌 Have to try Materiale Noir next time I’m at LV. 💕

Haha. I would have the same issue trying to pick 10 favoritees. It just sounds impossible! And like you said at the end, it would probably change fairly quickly too. I'm just always getting and trying new perfumes. One of my favorite things in life. However, over the many years I've been buying perfume I've learned my lesson not to buy full bottles. (Unless it's a favorite being discontinued. Had to get Alien Essence Absolue, Tom Fords Noir Pour Femme, L de Lolita and Nirvana Amethyst for that reason.) I just never finish the bottle and the perfume ends up breaking down before I can use it up. So I now only buy decants or travel size when they have it. Usually 10mls is enough for me for a new one I really like or love. And if I were to go thru it I'd order another. And btw I also love resinous perfumes and Woody vanillas. Huge fan! (And I love that Bom Dia body spray!). One of my absolute favorite resinous scents is the discontinued Amber Absolute by Tom Ford. (I only have the 10ml travel size unfortunately. It's crazy expensive to get a full bottle now. ) Another amber fave is Amber Precieux. Such a gorgeous resinous scent, with a little more vanilla than most ambers. I believe the note amber is usually a mix of labdanum, benzoin and vanilla, so that's why you get the sweetness in amber heavy perfumes. The vanilla is already blended in.
Btw I've wanted to get Lavandes Trianon for a while now, but I heard it was fairly similar to Mon Guerlain Intense (which I have) with its vanilla and lavender notes so I haven't pursued it too hard. But it still sounds amazing. (I wonder if it's more similar to the discontinued Mon Exclusif though. Its similar to the Intense, but it had more lactonic vibes with the addition of toffee and butter notes. Really wish I could get that one again! Someday I'll just have to get my hands on Lavandes Trianon.

Oh Samantha I put so much thought into this. A lot of fragrances are passionate affairs that file out. I figured it it tested the time with me, it deserved to be there. My only regret that I would change is Tresor La Nuit. BUT I believe that is discontinued, so I get to choose another anyway 😜

I loved this comment! When my husband actually has an opinion about a fragrance it's rare indeed. He's like most men-- I'm lucky to get a one word 'review' either way. To hear 'ooh, you smell lovely!' or 'what was that fragrance decant you left out for me before work this morning-- I really liked it' is a rare and wonderful occasion. Armani Si Fiore I got from Amazon for my mother last year based on a video of yours. I bought 2 bottles. Very nice fragrance. The body cream I'll have to try it. There are a few from Bond No 9 my mother likes. I want to say the RD body cream I got is 51. It's okay. My mother had been in the hospital again with a UTI and I took her clothes there to wear home I sprayed RD's Chypre Extraordinaire on her shirt. Quite a few reactions to it. Thank goodness I still had my shopping cart going for Scent Split......I added the Veronique fragrance and Symphonium. Sadly the Lavandes Trianon was gone. I love the Lancome exclusive collection and own 3, but I too am afraid of lavender so ignored it (just saw it on a different youtube channel yesterday). Of course I am thrilled to see the Ruby Vanille Neroli on the list as the package is arriving tomorrow!!! I love Bouquet Ideale, but I already owned House of Oud Golden Powder which is fairly similar. I'm going to try that Sol Janiero next time I go to Sephora, I believe I tried the original and wasn't impressed, so never tried the other one. I was surprised to see so many designer fragrances on the list. I may have to stop at a department store to spritz again (and I saw Nordstrom has a new scent "Vacation" from a 'world famous sunscreen brand' that I want to try). As always, fun to watch Greta!
The pink Sol de Janeiro, is way better. The original’s slated carmel can be a bit much. I have it, but can easily do without it.

I mention it so much, I wanted to address more people. I would take La Nuit out. That doesn’t belong there. It BUGS me! But I have a similar theme from a tag I will be filming soon. I totally picked up on that too, and started researching both m pikovaya dama and symphonium 😅 this list surprised me in so many ways, I couldn’t believe nuwa wasn’t on this list 😬 and more designers than I expected :)
Betty, it was the “forever” part that had me make those changes. And yes, Nuwa was on and off the list. If I am limited to 15, I figured it made sense to limit them in cost. So I made a conscious effort for bang for Buck, and good in more situations.

Loved your video! Armani Code was my signature fragrance for over 10 years (bottle with the lace design) until they reformulated and butchered a masterpiece! To date, I have been unable to find a replacement and I own a lot of perfumes - no niche, or designer house comes close. If I could wear one perfume again for the rest of my life it would be the original, alas, I will continue my quest.
Yes!! That was so good! Samsara was another beauty that got destroyed by reformulation. The reformulation happen when regulations prevent them from using the materials. They’re forced to make substitutes and try to rework and rebalance it.
@@GretaBeth Samsara.....I will have to have a look and do some research on that old Gem because I haven't come across it. Perhaps now that chemicals are used more they can stop reformulating.

@@aboutthatlife1418 The new Samsara formulation is not that bad. I have also a vintage one, it is better because they used a real mysore sandalwood oil. But: if nobody will buy the new formulation, Guerlain will discontinued this one day... The new Samsara is still better that many modern scents.

As a fragrance I don’t layer it with another perfume. But I do wear a vanilla cashmere body lotion from Bath n Body Works. A cherry blossom lotion might work nicely too.
