    Pardon my oversight. I forgot to mention there is an answer guide for both the comprehension questions as well as the grammar exercises. There are also suggestion for the activities and additional research opportunities. Thanks for watching!

    Great video! I'm so glad that you enjoyed this literature study. Interesting that the book you checked out from the library was different than the one you purchased. An average of three days per lesson is about how long we took as well.

      Thx!! I thought so too about the library edition book. 🤔Glad we did that.

    We used the whole 8-10 year for LA. The BFG was fun too! We used MBTP for years

      Love it!! We may try that one with my middle daughter. She’s always asking about England and the structure of the their Royal family.

    Thanks for this review! We just started using MBTP science and my daughter is loving it. I've been considering their literature or the literature from Brave Learner for next year. Have you used it before? How do they compare?

    • @LifeofTillmans
      @LifeofTillmans  Год назад +1

      Yw! Unfortunately, I’ve never used Brave Writer to be able to compare the two.

    Thank you for the very detailed video. Do you find that you have to supplement the grammar portion with something else?

    • @LifeofTillmans
      @LifeofTillmans  6 месяцев назад

      I do feel like it needs some additional grammar work. There is always some in each unit we’ve done but it’s not in every lesson within the unit. We did Daily Grams while doing this study. It’s only takes about 10 minutes per day. It was a good combination of the two.

    would you recommend this curriculum for a brand new homeschool mom (3rd & 7th grade)? I am overwhelmed by all the choices out there :)

    • @LifeofTillmans
      @LifeofTillmans  Месяц назад

      I would say if you use all of the components (spell, vocab, reading Comp, and grammar) for the 3 weeks, it’s not overwhelming. It can be if you continue with too many other ELA components. It was fun for me to do this with my girls!

    You may have said this and I missed it, but is there an answer key or suggested response for the grammar and or comprehension questions?

    • @LifeofTillmans
      @LifeofTillmans  Год назад +1

      I totally missed saying that. But YES, there are answers to both the comprehension questions and the grammar activities. Along with suggestions for steps on completing the activities.

    The Secret of Nimh was one of my favourite movies when I was a kid. I didn’t know it was a book too, now I’m super excited to read it to my kids 😊

    I have been wondering if this was too much for my struggling learner, what do you think?

    • @LifeofTillmans
      @LifeofTillmans  Год назад +1

      I think you all could do it. Maybe take a little longer reading less per day and do the questions orally or just half of them written and the other half orally. It was a very engaging book.

    Thanks for the flip through...don't think this is a good fit for my son who prefers short, hands on, interactive lessons.

      You’re welcome, the reading is usually the longest portion of the literature study. You could do it as a read aloud the way we did or independently based on your child’s level. There are interactive lessons in addition to reading comp questions and grammar activities. Visit Ashlee Gathered and Grounded Homeschool on RUclips. She has lots of MBTP videos content. That may give you another perspective. 😀
