    Alright, you’ve convinced me to try this! My son wants to read The Sign of the Beaver and I’m snagging the set. Thank you for the thorough explanation.

    I love MBTP too. I used it for a year with a friend when we first started homeschooling. And you’re right about doing them in order in order to get the LA in line-like Gather Round. Gréât vidéo as always!

      So is everything explained that you need that year? OR do you need to draw on previous years for full explanations do you think? I know you only did it for a year..

      @@LifeinYellowknife unfortunately we haven’t tried the literature units. We used it for preschool so it’s a bit tricky to answer about order being crucial. I know gather round units seems to matter.

    We finished the Poppy unit at the beginning of this school year and we loved it! My son doesn't really like reading and he was actually asking to read that book. I would highly recommend doing the owl pellet dissection that is scheduled in. It was definitely a highlight.

    Yes I rotate the science and social studies units and my kids become obsessed with the subjects. We don’t do all the bush work but use it as a spine

    Hi, thanks so much for sharing. When I went on the website, I don’t see the teachers guide in the photos of what’s included. I can only see it in the samples. If I purchase an entire la level, where is the teacher’s guide/guides please?

    • @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool
      @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool  5 месяцев назад

      The teacher guides are in the units, all the units up to level 8-10 are teacher led meaning the unit is written to the teacher and the activity pages follow for the kids. Starting at the 9-11 age the units are student led so the teachers guide is in the back of the units

    So is everything you need to know to explain concepts in language arts in the same year or may it draw from units in the past years? I am worried I chose the wrong level for my daughter for this reason. I don't want to be pulling from other resources I want to use it as our only language arts. Is this not possible starting at 7-9? Would it be going back to 6-8?

    • @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool
      @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool  Месяц назад

      Every level does build on eachother but most concepts are retaught year after year. If you take the placement tests it should help with deciding which level to start with ❤️

    Great video! In their Language Arts Units that you have used, have you found their spelling to be sufficient? Or do you supplement spelling?

    Why is it that the older the kids are the less subject they include in the whole year curriculum. I feel like it should be the opposite. I have an 8th grader and theres no math include like what the heck..

      I would recommend buying the online versions so you can print multiple copies of the activity pages for your kids. I also used to make sure each of my kids had a book ( I would normally buy one and get one from the library)

    Do you think it matters what order you use the lit units? Could we use one scheduled for the end of the year and an early one later on if it lines up with our history?

    I love MBTP and are using our 3rd year of them. I don’t like the quality of graphics on worksheets. I also don’t feel they go into much detail explaining things. A lot relies on me to know how to explain and teach things. I agree, their website is super confusing and not user friendly.
