i have one buttttttt i am confused as to why it needs oil AND a battery instead of just one or the other (plus i am missing a batter lol) i cant find out why it needs both...:(
Other than you have to constantly push the lube oil cap during usage, this saw is a savior for my backyard. Even cut down almost 12 inch thick tree with it. Moreover, using a DeWalt battery with an adapter bumps up its power. Really recommend to get an adapter to pair it with a professional tool brand battery.
Just used the chain saw my concern is oil delivery to bar is concerning. I do not see oil or properly lubricating bar. I filled reservoir and used saw i did not see oil tank going down. I used regular chain saw oil. I have used gas chain saws and before you cut want to see oil spraying off . Thanks
My first one would not deliver oil to the bar/chair. It was replaced under warranty. I still am not happy with the oil system. Now, I just use it for something very quick. My EGO brand is my go to saw. The B&D is great for cutting small branches, the EGO is for the bigger stuff! Is great not dealing with mixing oil and gas….clean…quiet….ah…..
Mine won’t turn on at all… Granted, I found it at the landfill while dropping off a trailer sized load of trash, but it’s still definitely better than a Ryobi…
I bought this saw. Other than the oil tank it's been a bad ass little saw.
Appreciate the review and information about the oil tank.
I have this chainsaw in the U.K. and it’s brilliant
Definitely been thinking about getting this saw

@@jamesramirez-nz1uzall chainsaws, whether gas or electric need bar oil for lubrication due to friction+heat created while the chain is in motion.
@@xringarcher1440 oh thank you, this information was very helpful👍

You didn't mention how long it takes to charge the battery😅
Which oil should i use for this machine.
I have been using canola oil for last season. But switched to Oregon chainsaw lubrication synthetic oil to prevent spoiled oil.
Thankyou!
