      Yes. It was.
Praise be to God. For the lessons learned. For the optimism for the future.
      It’s almost been 30 years.
May you have as many years in your life like the one I had that year when I turned 18 and my whole future was ahead of me.
And fear not… when I hear it, I remember… it still is. 👊😊

Definitely "kills". Melodically (for me), it gives me feelings of leaving behind all that pains me and looking & moving forward towards the positivity of the unknown, unforeseen, and endless possibilities, and I can feel the barbs & hooks of past negative life experiences ripping out of me (this brings mild tears) as I continue moving forward. It's bittersweet and comforting. I was a little younger in 1995, myself (high school junior).

The 90s were better in so many ways, especially compared to now.

And people weren't such narcissistic posers.

Windows 95, you're long gone but I'm still alive
I've gone so far, not even knowing how
I suppose the world is so much smaller now
    The plans that you made,
when you still had the time
    I've saved all the things
    that you left behind
but by now I guess I'd consider them all mine
    Windows 95,
is only a metaphor for what I feel inside
    Although I'm older now,
    there's still an emptiness
    that's never letting go somehow
Have you ever walked into what seemed,
    to be somebody else's dream?
And though the time won't let you pass,
it keeps you looking through the glass
    1995,
they call the year the future was to arrive
    But back in '95
we thought we were standing on the threshold
    to the end of time
    (And we still do)
So what's wrong with living in the past?
It just happens to be the place I saw you last
And what's wrong with living in a dream?
That one day the echo answers,
    deep inside of me
    I'll remember 1995
    I'll remember 1995

I was 2 but I still felt this song. What a fucking time to be alive. I envy those who could be young adults at the time. I feel bad for those who will not understand what life was pre 2000s

I'm feeling the scar on my right ring finger that I cut in the spring 1995. It was a small cut from a broken glass while washing dishes, but the scar is very visible. "I remember 1995." Goosebumps.

Nostalgia is dangerous and that is why I like it - live dangerous - nostalgic and romantic - omg so many pomo-ists triggered? But I remember 1995 - I remember analog world, omg what have we done ;)

+Bavo Boeykens You wrong. Artists make a fraction of one cent per play. So unless you're Beyonce, you're not making much.

I listened she saying on an interview that she sees Spotify as something like a Music McDonald's... So she just left her first album but prefer people to buy or even download illegally her newer albums since it takes more effort xD (I'm premium in Spotify too and I actually love it xD) Anyway, in SoundCloud there's most of her songs if you're interested (I created a playlist of her there)

Finally, I know who this person is! I’ve seen her face in so many thumbnails for “Dark Wave” playlists that have been suggested to me, but nothing to identify them.
