Yes! That first episode was so sparse in music and so strange in tone and set almost entirely outside of Twin Peaks. But finally, at the end, we're back to a more familiar place, with more familiar faces --> we're finally getting a PROPER taste of "Twin Peaks" after nearly two hours of appetizers and this absolute dream of a song sinks us right down into the depths of that meal that was always so surreal and dreamy. Fucking brilliant move.
No it;s not. Twin Peaks was a phenom, dark and disturbing, and hopeful and touching at the same time. And that this ethereal girl and her angelic voice with twin peaks.....yeah I can die now.
Just watched Twin Peaks return. This song is magic. Has the palpable subtlety of Julee Cruise and Questions in a World of Blue. Perfect for the scene with James.
@@Etereys I heard it was an amazing show. I watched the first episodes of season 1 and it was very strange. Should I skip ahead or start Twin Peaks from the beginning again?

if Jules Cruise was the soundtrack of the last fable of our adolescence, this song is that of our maturity: Electronic, evolved, yeah, but the emotion is the same. Thank you Lynch for having given us Twin Peaks only after 25 years, because the protagonists are became old as us, giving the illusion that the fable has never ended. Return back in Twin Peaks has been like going back melancholy to a real place of our youth.
"Starring Kyle MacLachlan" and this theme playing at the end of the first episode is the most thrilling experience for me when there were at least 16 hours of this surreal adventure ahead and I was prepared to go to the bottom of this rabbit hole. One step in a week.
I think the best part of this series was the fact that there was almost no sound track or nostalgia for the first 4 hours. One would think that this was intentional as Lynch wanted us to linger in the silence of what if it was not as we remembered (like Doughy) and we least expected it .... it all comes back.
That lovely whispering voice, those synthesizer strings and chorus, that heartbeat drumming, those hypnotizing eyes, that owl cave ring, the red velvet curtain background..... I can't take it, my heart is going to explode..... What a masterpiece.

God bless David Lynch for realizing, once again, how important music can be in setting the mood. That was one of the bravest performances I've ever seen. She couldn't have known she would die four days after filming that scene, but she must've realized it wasn't far off, and to be able to do a scene like that must've taken unbelievable strength. I know she really wanted to be back, though; she'd apparently kept the log all through the years, just in case it was ever needed again.
James was looking at Shelley’s friend Renee. But otherwise I agree. I actually did cry. I also cried when Ed and Norma finally got together. What a moment.

I almost cried when this came on at the end of the first episode of the return. One of my favourite bands with one of my favourite directors - and a perfect match in tone.
I just saw this for the first time and my mind went straight to David Lynch and Twin peaks! I had no idea this is what it was! I was in my mid 20's when the very first TP's showed up on the television. I'm 62 now. This is such a a bizarre flashback. So many people in my life are gone now. So strange.
I'm convinced that "Chromatics" was born out of a wish from David Lynch, even if neither him nor the band knew that before the most recent season of "Twin Peaks".
Look Johnny Jewel is wearing the Owl Cave ring 😂 They were some of the best parts of Twin Peaks seeing Chromatics play live at The Roadhouse. Gorgeous moments
The scent of the rain as it dries on hot night asphalt. Every now and then i lose them all to the sound of clocks and the memories of when my life mattered.

Damn good song. And hot!
Is there any way I can let her sit on my face and be called a pervert and still be respectful?
After the craziness of the first two episodes, this song felt like warm, cozy bkanket.
I found this song when I needed it the most.
I almost cried when this came on at the end of the first episode of the return. One of my favourite bands with one of my favourite directors - and a perfect match in tone.
I did cry ❤
"James is still cool!" - Shelly
haha yeah sure he is. lol
Ah James... the Jar Jar Binks of Twin Peaks. :)
That shit was funny, and a little heartwarming
James was always cool
That was strangely poignant for some reason and James sucks.
This theory: quite Lynch-i
Not a wish... A dream.
They live inside a dream...
... But who is the dreamer?...
I think it's David's dream that we dream on
you haven't googled enough before typing that.
The music band you like is going to come back in style.
silent3668 vanilla ice? sweet!
Flagged for an inappropriate degree of savage.
hope the show does too!!! =P
silent3668 yep big time
silent3668 Jesse we need to cook!
**spits**
DAMN GOOD TRACK! AND HOT!
lol, nice!
Look Johnny Jewel is wearing the Owl Cave ring 😂 They were some of the best parts of Twin Peaks seeing Chromatics play live at The Roadhouse. Gorgeous moments
A new Julee Cruise vibe song for our modern times. love it!
I could listen to this on repeat for hours. Timeless stuff, this will still sound gorgeous in 2040!
)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
The scent of the rain as it dries on hot night asphalt. Every now and then i lose them all to the sound of clocks and the memories of when my life mattered.
@@robertglover54 How poetic.
I hope I won't be alive by 2040. I prefer dying not too old. I had the chance to die in 2007, a chance lost.
@@AleR842 зачем вы хотите рано умереть🤔не хотите дожить до старости и стать больным и разваленным стариком🤔
I brought myself here, because I have stellar taste in music.
I give a pat on the back to you. kudos!
I have to respect anyone self-congratulating himself (or herself) just for visiting the website. Bravo.
... beyond stellar
Listy ditto🤘🏻
@@criticalbill1460 That's very good reading there, Bill. I bet you made it all the way to the 7th grade. 😂
Chomatics Shadow takes us into a world that is ours alone!
As my mind dissipates into dreams, my inner galaxy dissipates into eons,
Forget this fear of life, it is the shortest and most skillful way, to transport me to something,..I feel pleasure, nostalgia, nostalgia, love, joy... It moves me.
My space my stillness.☄️
Insane ending to the episode. Just perfect
I cant get this song out of my head. Such a masterpiece
on repeat forever ever xoxo
@@ItaliansDoItBetterMusic on repeat every evening to set the right mood ;)
Me too, i listen this song everyday.
This woman is definition of nostalgia, such a pure soul ;)

❤
Ladies and gents...looks like we have a hit on our hands!
been out for like 2 years, but hey
I think he's talking about Twin Peaks: The Return, not the song
poontang3zizo oh trueeeeee
Love it
I watched Twin Peaks 4 years ago, then the movie last year and was mind blown how special this season was! RIP David Bowie, log lady and Harry Dean Stanton
RIP Albert too
This season is off to a rad start, wasn't expecting Chromatics!
That song hits different on a late night ride..
Johnny Jewel is a music genius, every project he is in becomes a masterpiece ♥♥♥♥
