Down the rabbit hole yall go 😂 Greta Van Fleet is resurrecting Rock n Roll one day at a time 🤘🏼 this was the 1st track off their 2nd full album The Battle at Gardens Gate, which is an epic piece of work. I recommend starting from the beginning and watch their sound evolve into what is today with their latest album Starcatcher.
This is one of the bands I point to when people tell me no one makes good music anymore.
This band is made of 3 brothers and a friend on drums. Check out GVF the candlelight sessions -Broken Bells, as a good 2nd look at the band.

Echoes of Rush and early Genesis,great melody and very impressive vocals.
Another band I have seen live. Fantastically talented with a strong old school foundation with heavy influences from the likes of Led Zepplin coupled with new young energetic ideas. They sound just as good live and the musicianship is top notch with a lead singer with a set of pipes. Bluesfingers1 ("The Music of Everything ")
They are 3 brothers and a friend on drums. The singer and guitarist are twins and the bassist/keyboardist...yes he plays both...is their 2 year younger brother. THEY ARE VERY TALENTED!!
I first heard about Greta Van Fleet one July morning in 2017 while I listened to The Howard Stern Show. He talked a bit about them and played snippets from their 4 song CD "Black Smoke Rising" (which, at the time, was all they had released). I did a bit of googling, watched every RUclips video I could find, and bought tickets to their upcoming concert on October 6, 2017 in Rochester, NY, where they'd be opening for Halestorm. I proceeded to tell everyone I knew about them. Seeing your reactions brings back memories like what I experienced when I turned my friends onto my new obsession, Greta Van Fleet.
My favourite band! ❤ I recommend Meeting the Master and Age of Machine.
Love GVF! This band gives me hope for the future of quality musical talent in this world. And for the haters saying GVF is just a Led Zeppelin cover band- get over it! They are NOT a cover band! Highly recommend checking out “Meeting the Master” and “Highway Tune” next, ladies!

Really anything by the band is excellent. I agree about the Red Rocks concert but also they played in Canada earlier on in their career. It's really good as well. Check out their new live performances at RCA Studio. These are from their newest album Starcatcher. A couple of my older favorites are Broken Bells, Tears of Rain, Age of Machine.....really so many more. Definitely watch them perform!!

That voice kinda reminds me of the band Rush .
Josh sings using yodel with a lot of technique, leaving his voice unique, not to mention his 5 octave range.

It's Highway *Tune. Highway Song is a 1979 song by Blackfoot.
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin loves this group. You might want to check out the cover tunes they do of Zeppelin.
Awesome. I sent a recommendation earlier for this group. I have seen them in concert. All three of you could go and would enjoy it. There are few groups that will have as much diversity age wise at their concerts than GVF. They are farm town boys from Michigan who now live in Nashville. They opened for Metallica in stadium shows and Elton John is one of their mentors.
I will add that you should try and start with Highway Tune. The elder lady will like it I am sure. It is their most popular tune. Then follow with Black Smoke Rising and Safari Song. Those are from their first album. They have already won a Grammy award.
I also suggest Nightwish Tarja and Markko in Phantom of the Opera song. Awesome rendition.
Billy Strings is a big bluegrass star. Review California Sober with Willie Nelson.
Finally, someone I just start listening to Grace West. She covers country western songs and was runner-up in The Voice. She is going to be big. Blake Shelton was her coach.
I've been in love with them since Highway Tune. They've captured my heart like no other band.
For something completely different, I suggest 2Cellos Thunderstruck or With or Without You or Weird Al Fat or eBay.
This band is what I call my mother and daughter bonding band! My daughter and I have seen them THREE TIMES and we are NEVER disappointed by them! First time ever seeing them was at Forest Hills Stadium RIGHT BY THE BARRICADE!
EVERYONE should experience Greta Van Fleet at least ONCE right by the stage! It is truly a religious experience!
Definitely not a classic rock band, but they do have that sound. I think I just started hearing them on the radio within the last 10 years. Very talented band though.
They started out playing bars and local festivals in 2014 in Frankenmuth, MI, but didn't sign a record deal and release a CD until 2017.

i’m 16 and seeing them for a seconds time in july and i only discovered them in february 2023 lmao. i recommend watching meeting the master or the archer from their new album bc the album was produced differently and has amazing qualities that arnt in the battle at gardens gate (the album with heat above)
(i also discovered gvf through heat above!) but some random facts are the guitarist jake and vocalist josh are identical twins and their younger brother sam is on bass/keys and their childhood friend danny on drums😁
The only newer group worth anything! I like them! Try their When The Curtain Falls...also
