Swim Cap Review for Locs: Arena Smartcap

I'm continuing to swim in preparation for my next big triathlon, and was constantly having issues with my swim cap. And then I learned about the Arena Smart Cap!

What size is your cap? I just ordered one before I saw your video. How did you do in your triathlon? I have one coming up too.

Not sure if you saw my other swim cap review on Dreadscapes ruclips.net/video/G5emkIS-Zes/видео.html While the Area is more compact, Dreadscapes is much better at keeping my hair relatively dry. wonder if this works for my locks, they are almost at my waste. do you think it will work for me if I get an extra large? between this one and the dreadscapes one... in terms of getting the cap to stay on and drag which one is better?
I would definitely recommend getting the Dreadscapes cap over the Arena. The Dreadscapes will do a significantly better job of keeping the water out, while the Aqua Arena cap is more of an alternative to people that don't like silicone or latex caps. It was also helpful when I put much more oil in my hair and had issues w/ my caps sliding off because of the product in my hair.
Were you able to put a race cap over top this Arena cap? The sprint tri I have next month gives you colored caps so they know which length you’re swimming. It’s my first tri and I just did my dreadlocks😆
Congrats on starting your locs! It might be a bit of a snug fit, but possible! I only have worn my Arena cap with my Dreadscapes cap. I find the race caps to be on the flimsy side to be honest lol. So they may be prone to tearing if too much tension is put on them.

Do you wash your hair after rah wash and yes how do you maintain your retwist
The best way to maintain your retwist when swimming in my opinion is two strand twists.
I'm confused.. my need is to protect my daughters hair from the chlorine....if the cap doesn't keep the water out, what is the point in wearing it
Hi Laura - Apologies for the confusion. On my channel I've reviewed two caps, this one, the Arena and a second one by Dreadscapes. I would definitely recommend getting the Dreadscapes cap over the Arena. TJ Mahan lol those latex caps are no joke! I had what I call "halo breakage", not a ton, but just my edges were shorter than the rest of my hair. And I know it was from that doggone latex cap! But no more!
Swim caps are not designed for your hair to not get wet lol
Indeed, but so many people think their hair will stay bone dry under a cap, just had to give a disclaimer lol
