Mate a while ago you built a wall or house out of old reclaimed bricks and you jointed it with a piece of wood i think you called it a paddle to make it look really old brickwork what was it you used ?
Bit of battern mate rub it up on concrete to shape her ..do a few so u got some for small and big joints ✌️

Only cowboys mix building sand and sharp sand .. the job you doing I’d use 5 :1 ratio with plasteciser and sbr . From a mason and ground work family going back to Victorian times
