Hi Mate. As a Time Served ( City & Guilds craft and advanced craft ) 2nd gen Bricklayer, my Father and Uncle both Brickies before me. It really warms my heart to see someone like yourself who knows how to spread a Bed joint, put on a perp joint, set out and can actually build a corner. I cannot abide these profile using, pick n dip cowboys who can't guage Brickwork, can't spread a bed and can't put on a joint. My Dad is no longer here but if he was he'd go barmy with all these dilutes who couldn't lie in bed straight, never mind lay a Brick. I enjoy watching your videos mate. Nice to see a peoper Brickie these days.
Young apprentices please look at this video Quality brickwork by a professional traditional bricklayer Nice to see there are still some good craftsmen about lovely job 👍
Love your work Deano.. Real Brick mason! The melts that mock you. You would write more on the back of a stamp than most people know.. Keep shining brother 👊🏼
beautiful brickwork on all your vids I love heritage work it touching history it's knowing someone 100 maybe 200 year's built it to me that's amazing I once repointed a stone building that was 800years old i felt so privileged keep the video coming
“Keyboard warriors.. and the lefties” love it 😂 I’ve another word for them.. gits! New subscriber here, looking forward to going back and watching some of your archive of videos, quality workmanship. Rare thing these days!
Proper inspiration Deano, a dying bread sir... teachers, family, the lot said I couldn't be a bricklayer, you're inspiring the next generation to do it right and leading the way mate!
It's Good to see some traditional craftsmanship, liked the way he made his own squint bricks by measuring & cutting them himself. Well Done. You don't see traditional brickwork like this today.
Great work. Rceently did a Roman heringbone style greenhouse base and walkway with a load of cuts. Used Evolution mitre saw on a bench with a diamond blade, used one hand to pull the cuts precisely, the other hand to spray water on the blade so I got more cuts out of it without it overheating.
If there was a load of cuts you should have set it up so you didn't actually have to hold the hose in your hand pretty much all brick/tile saws have built in water suppression
@@richardstetson8221 fair but I picked up the saw and stand for 50 quid and find that pulling the saw down on brick instead of pushing it though is more precise for the tiny cuts and I got to do it all standing instead of crouching down. The diamond blades are readily available in Screwfix for £35 quid and it has the bevel option. Many people own Evolution saws (which are nothing special for wood really) but don't realise how good they can cut brick
Dudes like him are the point, why i got back as a carpenter, after 25 years at an office. My soul was floating away, but now, with all the other crazy dudes at work, between wood and stones, i smile every morning! 🙏👍🍻🕊🇩🇪🌻
Trowels should do more to acknowledge, appreciate and promote our trade's Roman heritage. When the Vikings arrived on our island(s) it was documented how much they were transfixed by the imprint the Romans left behind and wanted to know how they built large brick and stone fortresses and defences.
Was in York. Seen Roman Wall. It was stone but had a string coursenof 2course brick. Apparently they knew about expansion/Compression courses ! Amazing
Nice video fella! Best way to go about the negative comments is say to them "thanks for making my channel more popular on the algorithm" hahaha. As many yt content creators know by using clickbait titles etc. All feedback is good feedback for the channel lol. Thankfully though you got more followers than flakes who'll cry over silly things you might say. Keep doing what you do fella
Or just grow a pair? And realise you’re on a public platform putting up videos to try and gain attention… not all that attention will be positive! Or stop needing your ego massaged and come off RUclips?
Allo mate to be fair 10/10 for convenience..light to handle ..we have 6 Batteries so always got charge ..only thing is the men keep using it haha going through blades like no tomorrow
I,m not a Brcky, but doing a garden wall project. You say that the decorative pillars aren’t supportive, but if I tie the pillars in with wall ties would this be sufficient for a 5 meter by 2 meter height wall? The garden wall width is 2 bricks tied in.
Been building a showhome on new site had a little disagreement about what minimum size 3 quarter should be against window I've cut them 150mm I've done this always but supervisor said Been pulled for it before 🤷 what's your opinion???
Hello fella, didn't use your name as not sure if that's appropriate. I've been watching your channel's and they are very good. Hope things are well. Les from Bas market :-) .

Love the false perps you made with the saw. Class act that.
Nice to see you tied the pillar in. Water has a nasty habit of penetrating then blowing when it freezes. I love watching you work, really neat.

A lot of bricklayers are good but when the prices are low then the work suffers cos you have to lay more bricks to earn a wage.
Many can be good, few can be good a fast. Fewer can be excellent and fast.
