Let me know if you have any questions relating to WooCommerce Subscriptions and comment on what tutorial you want to see next 😀. Also if you want to learn how to add a one-time purchase and subscription option on the same product page, see this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/f2Gl11y9g5o/видео.html
How would you go about setting up a physical magazine subscription? Would it be possible to add an "issue" to all active subscriptions (more specifically generate an order for them) manually once it becomes available? Better yet, only bill the customer once that issue becomes available.
Hi Daniel, good question. To clarify, can you explain your situation in more detail? You currently have a lot of active subscriptions from another product? And you want to add a new issue to these active subscriptions? Does the product that is in the active subscriptions complement the physical magazine subscription? And do they both come out on the same date? For example, your active subscriptions are from the digital magazine subscription are published quarterly. You want to add the physical magazine subscription to the active digital subscription subscribers?
@@simongondeck Hi Simon, in this scenario there is nothing in place yet. The customer would have the option to receive a digital and/or physical version on lets say a monthly basis. The main potential confusion is they might pay on the 10th and receive the latest magazine, but then the next issue becomes available on 20th. That means they’d have to wait several weeks before they received the next one. The big magazine subscription sites ask, at time of subscribing, which issue you want to start with and then keep track internally of which ones they have sent you. For a smaller site though, a WooCommerce-based solution would be much more cost effective.
Is there a way to create a simple product subscription recurring monthly, but have a few add-ons to this product page that are only one-off purchases and won't be added to the recurring payment? For example, renting a moving truck on a monthly basis, but I want to offer cardboard boxes and packing supplies as a one-off add-on purchase - all on the same subscription product page. Doing the "sign-up fee" method for an added on-off purchase wasn't ideal for me and the wording didn't align with its intended use
