  • It’s critically important for you to be able to control your aggressor at the moment of contact. It’s equally important for you to have control and tactical options to defuse situations before they escalate to serious injury. In this video Coach Jeremy will demonstrate how to gain arm control and enforce a takedown when facing an aggressor.
Law enforcement, Bodyguards, and Security guards all use arm control techniques to prevent any situation that might escalate to violence. You too can learn how to take control. Don’t be a victim.

I just happened to stumble across this guy's channel. He has some really excellent self defense videos! I actually like him better than some of the martial arts masters making videos.

Most people grab you with the weak arm so that they can punch you with the strong arm. So this has to be done quickly before he completes the winds up for the punch. The stepping back while you bring your weight down can prevent the punch.

Hi, I am a fan of selfdefence, watching this video...watch one important point...if the opponent is influenced by alcohol or drugs or that stuff, probably he doesn't feel any pain! so you first have to bring you into a save position...don't stand to close to him...we had to step back while moving our body...

nice technique, but to avoid using so much strength to bend him, you should move more. when you grab to apply the lock, if you walk around him toward his back, then turn to make him run around you in the same movement. you're stronger and if something fail, you're facing his back to switch for another technique. i speak from experience, this works wonder, but when you add a perfect foot work, it goes effortlessly. bonus: since you are moving to the outside it makes it harder for him to hit you if he was about to.
this simple foot work make most standing arm lock much more efficient, first you walk to make him turn, then you turn to make him walk and fall.

much better off using a wrist lock by grabbing the hand in that situation, grabbing the arm like that there is too much chance of not only slippage but also for your attacker getting out of the lock
