although i personally prefer a slightly different back control, everything else is pretty accurate and practical. PS Seat-belt control triggers administration because it's "too close to the neck"...
100% I've used this a ton in the same types of work, and wrestling pummeling works in guard passing too. (Hook(s) Under, Over, Around= Drag or bullfighter passes. I don't believe that the main function of the karate outside blocking patern is a primary block, it's an arm drag. My other favorite for very big tall guys was to dig a deep underhook, baiting the side headlock, then duckunder and take their back similarly. All paths should lead to the back!
A hand shake is an act of good faith and trust. Its showing the other person that I am unarmed. To use a handshake to decive someone is an asshole move.
you're not wrong and it is a factor. sadly, as anyone who ever wrestles already knows, we dont have the luxury of space while trying to control anyone with significant size/strength/defensive ability. once you have to commit, the gear is the least of the problems.
I've noticed a theme in this channel so many self defense experts talk about using the arm drag in live situations, wich sounds great and it's an easy technique to do. But my only problem with it is when it comes to striking; I come from a boxing background and everytime I see someone attempt an arm drag in these videos I immediately think this guy would get punched in the face in a real situation. You cant grab someone's arm with both of your hands because they'll hit you with their other arm in my opinion. So my question is how to arm drag someone while still being defensively responsible, (protecting your face from the other hand) Thanks
A forceful drag is like starting a lawnmower. When you take the person off center, it’s very hard to throw a powerful punch because it requires combining muscle groups (which is hard when off center)
While, I’m not sure what your background is as an instructor. My suggestion would be to learn the anatomical positions and work those in verbally during your training. That will make you instructions clearer to both the beginner and advanced practices. As a Master instructor for the State of Washingtons Law enforcement academy, it took many years to reach that level as it was required learning under Bob Bragg and his 35 years as an instructor and leader at WSCJTC.
Not sure of your intent on this supposed suspect but to my observation you seamed to have jeopardised yourself in this technique. Critical areas of neglect (Personal safety) “Suspect left rear elbow to the face & possible rear head butt to your face for chinning down on suspects back. You neglected foot positioning and purpose of rear hold. What was the motive to get behind? You need to inform your viewers on how to transition to handcuff or take down. Don’t include what you don’t like or would not do, keep it simple and direct. Otherwise great work. 👍🏼
@@takedown6470 youre prob just bullshitting but even if you did it its to people who arent fighting back. You prob bullied suspects and thought you were hard. Pitiful
Always a bunch of professionals on this channel 👏🏼

Not when they have warrants😊
When they have 99s it's game over
Most soldiers gear is on the chest and back, I always thought that cops would have increased difficulty up close, with most his gear at the waistline.

Yeah, gun carriers need to go to the side where their firearm isn't exposed to the one you are holding... it is a very big deal
A wrist grip is broken by moving the wrist toward the web of the thumb, the weak point of the grip.
Where can a person get this kind of training?
Do you practice the arm drag on both right and left arms?
Yes.
you should take whatever they give you.
Now you’re speaking my language .

Man, you tall.
My opinion i see is a bad move.can u see he have the other arm free to punch you.
I'm thinking the same thing
I can tell the instructor has never used this shit in the real world.

"Brazilian Shitzu ?"
Lol, the only thing that this is going to accomplish is getting punched in the face with the dude's other hand.
Said the guy who has never wrestle
yea if you hang out in front of him like a dummy. this just shows that your technique sucks and you cant compromise the other person's balance.
