This Worlds in my books has become one of the greatest tournaments in League of Legends history and it's not even over yet. Everything from Play-ins to groups and now quarters, there have been so many interesting games and fantastic LoL being played at such a high level. Seeing this is just so reliving! We love u deft go and win worlds!!
It's not him winning Worlds. It's him proving himself. League players have a sense of pride and ego. The thought of you always being third-rate with no achievements despite trying your absolute hardest makes you crumble. It's akin to suicidal thoughts; not being good enough no matter what you do. Of course, we don't know exactly what goes on with their mindsets but we can tell that he has proven himself to be better than people think he is, and at the very least, not a failure. Especially, in a culture based on performance and results, this is really emotional.
It’s so amazing to see people who really care about what they do. As fans we never really get a chance to think about how passionate these players are even when they aren’t giving us our desired Results. I’m just glad moments like this exist to remind us these players are people too, even if we shouldn’t need that.
I love players that show out their emotion in biggest stage. We need more players like Faker, UZI, Deft, and Rekkles. You know that they really put everything in their performance.
