Hi everyone! We're aware that the M4A1-S got nerfed on Friday, but we've been working on this video for weeks, and we still wanted to put it out for you at the time we originally scheduled it for. Do you think Valve's changes are enough to end the Silencer's reign of terror? Or is this gun going to remain a problem in CS:GO?
The range fall-off from 4 hits to 5 hits makes a noticeable difference. However, I still think the price should be swapped between the M4A1-S and the M4A4 in order to help further incentivize using the louder, weaker, but faster-firing and larger-mag size option.
Even though they just nerfed the range again, the A1-S still feels like the better option. I think the real problem is the price. $3100 feels like too much of a commitment when you can just get your head taken off from across the map. I think both guns need to be $2900 for it too be truly balanced.
The issue is how the economy is structured. The $2900 price tag is so god tier over $3100 just because of how the money works. Often times that $200 is the difference between a buy and a save. And it happens all the goddamn time
best response i've seen, i rockthe M4A4 and that 3100$ hurts so bad when on a tight economy, i don't care the recoil nor being traced behind smokes ( since if the enemy has more than 2 brain cells active they can know where you are ) i really enjoy the 30 bullet on my A4, 3100$ that' can't kill on a headshot paired with a 600$ molly and let say 650$ for kevlar if all the enemies are on AKs that's already a 4350$ without counting flashes and smokes or even nades a 2900$ price tag for the A4 would be huge and efficient to balance between the two M4 IMO
Played the game yesterday i dont feel like the m4a1s is actually being nerfed yet. Its strength stays the same, completely untouched. Enemies still cannot react fast enough to detect the m4a1s user even when being hit from the least optimal m4a1s range.
@@Nkroniis agreed bro, I tried rocking the M4 yesterday and on third round buy when you have like $4850, I never buy head armor on CT so $650, plus the $600 molly, and the $3100 on top of just feels like soooo much money when I could also get a flash with the a1-s and maybe stay alive longer because of it. When you add another $300 smoke you can’t buy a kit and if you die right away you’re absolutely fucked the next round. But I do agree though the smoke part is nice but up close it’s basically useless. The extra 10 bullets seem so nice but that price tag hurts.
200 cheaper = 1 flashbang 5 ct = 5 more flashbang in close game this is a big difference I think the problem is a prize change both gun to 3000 (little nerf to a1 and little buff to a4) and see how dominate is a1 after the change
the silencers core benefit - being silent - was not really mentioned.. imho the fact that it might be more difficult to tell where shots come from, is worth so so much especially in a late round situation
I disagree. If you know what you're doing, there rarely is a situation where you truly don't know where you're coming from, even if you can't hear the weapon sound.
@@dakotahernandez9511 I agree on you, I mean when you’re pushing, surely you know where the enemies might appear and shoot you, Yes there are times where you don’t know where the enemies are shooting you but, it’s not like it’s happening most of the time, so it’s not that bad.
@@dakotahernandez9511 I am not pulling rank on you m8, but I'm 41 and have been playing cs since 1999. So I'm not lacking experience. there are several situations where that sound can make an enormous difference. e.g. inferno A: you are on short, entering site facing towards it -some smokes might be down etc.. an enemy kills your teamm8 who is close to plant-box - without the silencer you can clearly differentiate between the shot coming from balkony or pit - if he is using a silencer, you need a visual input after turning 180° to be certain.. I am sure you get my point. have a nice day!
M4A1-S is still Superior in my opinion. No tracers through smoke, takes the enemy considerably longer to figure out where shots are being fired from. Having only 20 rounds isn't that big of a deal I just pair it with the five seven haven't had a problem.
don't waste your money for pistols when you are not playing with awp (unless you are near 16k money), buying utility makes much more sense and you have always to take economy into account
And considering if you're good enough with your initial shots, 2 shots to the head is all you really need with the 1-S. With how easy it is to control the 1-S with the first shots, those first 2 shots are practically all you need.
I think a few important points have been missed: It was not just the damage and the easy control. The silencer and ammo capacity played a HUGE role in the a1s being overpowered due to its massive smoke spam potential. Before the ammo buff, the a1s was not really viable as you couldn't put too many rounds into a smoke without risking getting pushed through the smoke with a dry mag and even then, one mag was all you could really dump into a smoke, being left with only 20 reserve. Furthermore, thanks to the S of the A1-S, it was very difficult for the player on the receiving end of a smoke spam to tell where they're being shot from to return fire or even take cover properly. Combined with it having very little recoil, it was really powerful to spam smokes with from a long range which made locating the shooter and/or avoiding the fire pretty much impossible as at a distance, the a1s was entirely silent for the T's. The smoke spam meta of 2021 was insane, watch any match from late 2021, as soon as a smoke lands in a buy round, a CT holding the position will unload a whole mag into it, often getting a kill. The amount of damage through smoke in that era was crazy. Also the money. It's a whole flashbang cheaper. It adds up, if you start as CT and say out of the 15 rounds, even if only 8 of them are full buy rounds, that's still potentially 24 extra flashbangs (if an awper always buys an awp) and utility being as important as it is now, this just puts a pile of dirt and a tombstone on the M4A4's already nailed coffin.
... They are both buyable on CT side that's why there's a huge debate over which ones better and in pro leagues 60% use m4a1s as of right now and the other 40% use the m4a4.
@@fireblade425 They are not both buyable on the CT side, you have to choose between the two, once youve made your choice, you can only use that specific gun during the competition. It would be nice to see the option to buy either rifle during the buy phase, depending on the situation.
I feel the best way to balance things out would be to make the A4 a bit easier to control recoil wise. The best thing for A1 is the fact that it's a literal lazerbeam, and for most people it's just too much work to have to control A4 spray when you can just beam someone for cheaper. That and maybe just meet in the middle and make both guns worth 3000 instead of the 200 dollar price difference.
I always thought about m4s like this- a4 should have higher fire rate, more damage, more recoil and more dmg drop-off. Meaning that at mid to long range a1s would be more precise and easier to controll (slower fire rate+ lower recoil would mean wonders for easy aiming) but would need precision such that every shot counts and would mean life or death. Also making it so they're both available would ease the pain, let them all be used in certain situation thus increasing proffits from skins.
Im my opinion this buff showed the true potential of AK-47 and asked people to become even better with the weapon, holding angles etc Because actually the a1-s buff caught players off guard Their sloppy aim was no more allowed The stats(CT vs T) are much more competitive than the technical advantage the a1-s gave to the cts
I think the prices should be swapped because then we will see more use of the a4. Edit: or to reduce the ct sidedness of the game you could put both rifles up to $3100 or possibly make the a1s 3150 if that doesn't work
The M4A4 needs to be cheaper. Other than that I think the range modifier change will do enough to make both guns viable in different situations. That said, it's time to give CTs the option to purchase both weapons in the same match.
Irl, a suppressor increases rate of fire because of the massively increased back pressure that's generated. Maybe we are thinking of the needed Stat changes backwards? Somehow increase rate of fire on the m4a1-s, but also significantly increase the price, as suppressors literally can cost as much as the gun you put it on.
I really would vote for inverting the prices as a final nerf - the M4A4 would have a closer price to an AK and stats but would deal significantly less damage than an Ak, and the M4a1S would be kinda more powerful and stable than M4A4 BUT would cost more and have less bullets. That would balance the damage output, sorta. Or going back to how it was before the 2021 buff would make some sense, while keeping the $2900 price
@@Mojom8 you do realize that skins exist. your idea is simply impossible to be applied. the solution is the price swap. the better, more popular gun gets more expensive, and the one that is literally balanced with the AK since forever, gets to be the cheaper one.
I think that inverting the prices of each is honestly the way to go, its a higher investment gun for the m4a1 bc its now 3100 and its good and now just leave the M4a4 the way it is but have it as 2900?
M4A4 is now way more versatile in my opinion. the M4A1 was so broken because it could kill in 4 Hits over huge distances while having 0 spraypattern. Now, if you want to use the silencer advantage you will have to be so far away that your bullets do way less damage. the fact that on some ranges 1HS+1Bodyshot arent enouth to kill make the gun feel incredibly unreliable to me, i personally would rather use the loud M4A4 but always have consistent Hits to kill.
@@M4xXxIkInG Honesstly, it's down to preference. I like using both but primarily I have the m4a4 equipped ever since I strated back in 2019. I only use the m4a1 when I'm on T side when I don't feel on point with the ak so I use it when I'm rushing. It good as I can control the recoil well but it does loose bullets fast.
The real problem is that Valve never simply reverts changes it has made, but always picks different parameters. They buffed the A1 by increasing the base damage from 33 to 38 but then refused to go back on it and rather decreased magazine size and damage at range. From a engineering/maths point of view, that's a stupid way to find a sweet spot. From a practical point of view - also. Realistically, the "best" M4A1-S was the one before the damage buff - 600 rpm, 25/75 bullets, 33 base dmg, 1% dropoff, $2900. It was arguably slightly better than the A4, even though the pros underused it, but pros are always incredibly slow to pick up on the meta unless Valve further buffs an overpowered weapon. Took them 3 years to realize the UMP is amazing and 4 years and a buff to realize that the SG was always amazing. But yeah, if Valve had just left it at that, we would probably now see a more or less balanced use of both weapons.
Haven't played CS since like 2018 (and I really miss playing it) so I had no idea this was even a thing. Seems like they really need to increase the price of the rifle or just revert it back to how it was except with a bit more power or something. Seems way OP now.
now that the damage is finally reasonable I propose 2 more changes. make the ct rifles the same price either 2900/3000/3100 as long as they are the same that would be good and so the a1s wont fall into oblivion same way it did before i think switching it back to 25 bullets a mag would be great now that it isnt a 4 shot kill.
I think switching prices and giving 5 more bullets without the ability to 4 shot at extreme range would make the be a little more balanced. Maybe don’t give back the 5 bullets.
I hate this recent update because I only have one or two friends that I play with, and we constantly get stuck with 2 or 3 mouth-breathers who practically stare at the floor the entire game, absolutely zero concept of crosshair placement. The power of the M4A1-S was practically carrying us to our victories. It's incredibly rare that we queue into a game and aren't both on the top of the team. Looking at my last 8 matches, aside from the most recent game which was one game after the update, I was top frag for 5 of them and my friend was below me, and he was top frag for the other 2 and I was below him. The real problem with this game is that the MM needs fixed. I'm sick of being MG2 getting no ranks, silvers, gn1-3s, etc. on my team. I'm not paying a monthly subscription for faceit or esea to enjoy the game. This isn't an MMO.
they can raise the price of the cts utility to give the t side more chances to brake through, while increasing the price of the A1S to 3000 and reducing the cost of the A4 to 2900. that's what i suggests
Best way to balance the CT Side 1. price both of 'em for 3000$ 2. Equal damage and recoil 3. One should have the option to buy either of them. So the people who want higher fire rate can buy the m4a4, and the people who want the silence and sneaking abilities of the a1 can buy the M4A1-S
everyone is still going to pick the a1s lil bro. The silencer makes it infinitely better than the a4 if its equally priced and equal damage and recoil💀like come on bro think
for a week or so I tried using the M4A4 over the M4A1-S. I failed, as for me, the price for the A4 was too damn high. I mostly used the Famas as I couldn't full buy anymore due to the extra $200 needed for the rifle, so I just saved that $1,050 for next round, should I die. If I didn't die, then most times I saved $1,050 and nabbed myself an AK, so it's overall a win for the economy. Any time I bought the A4 it was sacrificing Utility, which lost us rounds or even matches sometimes. A few of my friends swear by the A4, but to me the extra $200 I save adds up really quick. Pair that with getting somewhat consistent flash assists on maps like Mirage, then it can tip whole rounds. If the A4 was cheaper then I would be more likely to give it a shot and see it as more of an equal to the A1-S, but until then that extra Flashbang's worth will go to good use either being a flashbang, or being saved up repeatedly so it helps me buy for a teammate if their eco is in the gutter.
As an ex 1.6 player myself I was so happy I didn't had to put up with the m4a4 when I switched to GO. I hate m4a4 till this day. It doesn't feel right to me. I tried to learn it, to embrace - I just can't. And since I started playing GO I always adored the m4a1. The problem is that it lost its identity after they buffed it last year. Every noob before this nerf now used it and could get success. Before that I was probably the only player in the server who actually used m4a1 and actually knew when to engage. After the Rio major I said to my friends: "m4a1 is getting nerfed after this major and I will be ok with it" and it happened. It was just too good and sometimes outshining the AK. I will continue using it and if it doesn't work in some scenarios - there's always the AUG.
i mean its a pendulum -it swings from one gun to another. I remember when I was still invested in CSGO in 2017 everyone just used m4a4 but to pros bullets really does not matter so it makes sense why it swings to m4a1s
The biggest factor when deciding what to buy is always the price. The "only" 200 difference, on average, per team, per side, is like the full price of 2 rifles, or, 4 upgrades from rifle to AWP. That's simply huge for CT, given the tight economy. On top of that, nothing can compensate the frustration you get from having A4 selected and you end up with 2900-3050$ before purchasing a rifle. Being forced into Famas knowing that you would've have an A1s, makes you swap the gun for the next game. Either swap the prices and make the laser beam the expensive choice, or bring them to the same price and nerf the long range accuracy for M1-S. That's the only solution for fixing both the guns and the CT/T issues.
Like you said earlier it’s mainly about t’s having power and ct’s having accuracy, but if the m4a1s has a bigger damage, then valve should need the accuracy like it is a t gun, either by nerfing the recoil, crosshair, or even make the rate of fire a bit slower
btw. the famas is the most underrated weapon in all of cs history. just the price alone is just criminal. the facte that no one sees that potential reminds me of the sg553 (the krieg)
@@msk8393 fair enough you have balls to push then. but for people who want a rifle with mid to long range (more mid range) then the famas is really good considering the price. tho technically i do agree with you.
@@HerbaceousM8 again, the mp9 is for ez kills when you have the balls to move in, however thefamas is a more forgiving rifle option,\. meaning it's better at long ranges than an mp9
@@santana2993 csgo is kindof t sided tho? Economy and weapons for T is just better. Its only ct sided in hiiigh elo games on faceit or at lan events at maps where it is already a very ct sided map
@@fnutek3720 no its not, im just seeing this. The game is and always will always be meant for cts. The map layouts and the fact that they have to come to the bomb sites. Sure economy but as a T you have to execute sites and clear them and all cts need to do is defend them while holding significantly less angles
Switch at-s and a4 cost, let the weaker weapon be 2900 so you can more easily buy it 2nd round than the current 3100, ct economy hates a4 but tthe a1s is okay in the current climate
Valve could’ve just made the situation better a long time ago by just switching the price between m4s, better option more expensive and cheaper option is little bit worse, even if the A1 didn’t had its nerfs I think with this singular change everything would’ve been fine. Awper would choose the cheaper option and the rest would choose whatever they prefer, a utility master would want to have the ability to buy more nades, an aim god anchor would want to have the best gun for it and some people could change between maps
I think we do also have to look at 1 thing, is m4a1 really the cause of the ct sided win rates in all map? or is it something that is related to play style, tactics, economy or anything else?
Bruh… that’s true but: 1) if you start out as ct then you’re gonna get closer to the best of X on the first half, which means starting out as ct gives you more chances to win 2) even if both teams play t side anyways, it’s not fun to enter a site and get obliterated, look at those charts at 11:20
Why not buff the Krieg? Make ti fire at 600 RPM, which is the standart for rifles ffs. But to counter that, make is between 3100 and 3200$. The AK would still be more viable since it would be 400-500$ cheaper and has other minimal advantages like running speed and the fact that if the CTs get it, they won't be as overpowered as if they had the Krieg. So yes, that's what we should be talking about.
The most logical thing to nerf is to nerf its recoil. The whole point of the a1-S is that its better on longer range, so by that logic nerfing its recoil to force ppl to tap more, which is predominantly done on longer ranges(unless you're scream) would be the best choice imo.
for me it's the 200 dollars I'm not a good player, so the most I can get in a round is typically 2-3 frags, which meant that the a1s is still plenty, the drop in long range damage is not that important, cuz like you said, Ts are typically rushing towards you, so when they're running towards me, we're typically duelling at short to mid distances. The a4 has a faster rate of fire, but cost a flash more. Even if I don't know the right flash or standing to close to flash, I could buy one and give it to my teammate and ask them to do it for me, or I can rely on him, and if they're flashed, the 3rd player has a lesser chance of killing or weakening me, which means I save even more money by not having to buy a gun next round. I can buy the argument that they are made to suit different play styles, like sneaky or aggressive, but why would a sneaky weapon cost more than an aggressive one, the one who's literally standing in front of aks? I think they can return to the old damage dropping rate, but increase the price to 3100 while reducing the m4 to 2900
The funny thing is this shouldn't have been a problem to begin it. Valve just tried to introduce more variety by making one gun into two. Should just turn them into one gun again and have the carry handle or rail as just visual model without any stats change.
@@nottodayfedboi3536 Why do people use skins? Alot of them stick out in the environment. If it was all about advantage we'd all be using 3 cent camouflage skins and the character skins that blend the best. It'd be just like a skin but with a different model
Switching around the prices of the m4’s seems like a decent solution. But spraying someone for 99 in 5 just isnt gonna get the m4a4 in contencion any time soon
I just hated peeking the longest angles and without even getting headshoted getting deleted and then realizing "oh yeah, m4a1 buff". It was bad enough trying to entry frag against awps.
BOth guns should cost the same, lower the m4a1s rate of fire slighty so the beam isn't to strong. If after that the m4a4 is still not in use, buff that instead of nerfing the m4a1s, give the m4a4 more damage when wallbanging for example or increase movementspeed with it and a slightly faster regain of accuracy when you stop moving, making it into a better peeking choice.
with the current nerf of the a1s dmg range and with the mag size all we need left is the reserve ammo to be 45 its pretty random but thats what i think and the price to 3000$
I have no idea why Valve is having such a hard time with this. Everyone would tell you the same thing, that the prices don't make sense at all. Why would a suppressed M4 be cheaper than an unsuppressed one anyway? The fact that A1-S does more damage as a stealth weapon is also entirely nonsensical. You would think they'd want you to go for headshots with it, considering the extra accuracy and reduced mag size. The balance of it simply isn't designed in a coherent way. In usual Valve fashion, they will try to work around this (such as the new range damage nerf) instead of addressing the obvious problem, or eventually make the obvious choice but only years later. Regardless of whether they do get it to a more balanced state, the fact that these guns don't make any sense design wise would bother me if I played this game more.
I have always been an a4 player. Primarily because im not a pro, secondarily because I rarely tap shoot unless im at very long range or a headshot angle. Price point is the only thing i have ever complained about in this matchup. If a 5 man rushes you and you are not a pro, you are toast with the A1. the a4 has the mag capacity to prefire/continue to spray from behind cover and transfer it to people as you peak or as they round the corner. The fire rate also makes the kill time much more favorable in a lot of situations. For a majority of the community i would say the guns are balanced. Once they are in the hands of people that very rarely miss, the A1s weaknesses are largely negated and its strengths such as a lack of tracers are much more noticeable in pro play where people have ridiculous situational awareness. But the price is a problem. The guns are fairly even in performance, the A1 should not be 200 cheaper. If you are buying 10 rounds in a half thats 2000 in utility you are gaining by choosing a gun which isnt even a downgrade. Across a team thats 10 grand extra across the half. 200 doesnt sound like a lot but it adds up to essentially a full buy round over a team of A4s across a half.
they either need to change the price so both weapons are $2900, decrease the damage on the A1-S or go a step further and drop the magazine to maybe 15 bullets per mag so it's still viable at range but now it's much tougher to piece an entire team so closer range maps see more play with the A4.
the problem is that a price decrease for A4 would not solve the CT/T balance issue. further nerfs to A1 stats will get people furious. the swap in price is the only viable solution. you want the laserbeam, you pay more. a4 balance against AK is also tried and tested, it makes sense to be the default option. in my opinion, reverting the latest nerf to A1 and also swapping the price would pretty much solve all the issues.
I am playing cs since 2 years. I have always used the a1, even before the Operation Riptide buff. Once I tried m4 for 200h max, but I didn't like it. The only attribute I was using the a1 was it's superior accuracy, and I did feel that a1 was broken even before the buff - but ofc, not game-breakingly. They haven't ever changed it and I really don't wanna see that changed. Valve did reduce the long range damage, but if it's not enough yet, please, modify everything just not the accuracy. I wouldn't mind if it had only 15 bullets and even less body damage, but if the accuracy is lowered, this gun would lose it's purpose, since a4 is the one existing for big magazine spray.
It received a nerf in the last update. Now all that needs to happen is to make the M4A4 3000$ Not sure on that second statement, but It feels right. Only time will tell if it's necessary or not. Point is that the M4A4 is the only option CTs have now if they wanna 4-shot someone on Long A or from Mid to Window in mirage.
They nerfed it, but it is still too damn accurate. People can still camp ticket on mirage and reliably double headshot ramp. Along with the made change, the meta on pugs has shifted so much
As someone with 2k hours in csgo, I can 100% say that I have lost more fights with the M4A1-S against a guy with a M4A4. No doubt that the M4A4 is better it just not reliable like the M4A1S. Anyone who knows csgo will agree to that statement. I have lost so many engagements with the M4A1-S simply because I dinked him for 99 and my second bullet did not hit him. Also this arguement is kinda silly considering the AK-47 is still the number 1 gun in the game. Its like saying fox marth is 60/40... When marth struggles vs peach and other characters. Yeah fox is the best, but people argue that Marth has horrible matchups shoot it doesn't matter when you will ALWAYS get 1 tapped by an AK for ALL THE WAY DOWN LONG lol. The real question is what can you do to make the AWP still useful but not the biggest game changing aspect. Anyone who watched RIO knows that every play by heroic was completely shut down by Jame. I mean he only got 14 kills the second game but all 14 were round stopping awp kills. This game is so hard to balance with that in mind. . . It was so unfair, they could never push or anything, antime they wanted information they died instatly to an AWP.
now that the magazine is down to 20, it changes a bit of things, but ever since I played csgo, it was m4a1-s always. More accuracy, less noise, much better burst control. But as I said in the beginning, the magazine being drop to only 20 rounds is like "FFS".

The range fall-off from 4 hits to 5 hits makes a noticeable difference. However, I still think the price should be swapped between the M4A1-S and the M4A4 in order to help further incentivize using the louder, weaker, but faster-firing and larger-mag size option.

When you add another $300 smoke you can’t buy a kit and if you die right away you’re absolutely fucked the next round. But I do agree though the smoke part is nice but up close it’s basically useless. The extra 10 bullets seem so nice but that price tag hurts.
200 cheaper = 1 flashbang
5 ct = 5 more flashbang in close game this is a big difference
I think the problem is a prize
change both gun to 3000 (little nerf to a1 and little buff to a4) and see how dominate is a1 after the change
Actually good idea
Very smart mate
this is the smartest comment so far
the silencers core benefit - being silent - was not really mentioned..
imho the fact that it might be more difficult to tell where shots come from, is worth so so much
especially in a late round situation
@Don S I'd say the no tracer for smoke is really good. The rest is fine as long as you pay attention.
@Don S 100%
M4A1-S is still Superior in my opinion. No tracers through smoke, takes the enemy considerably longer to figure out where shots are being fired from. Having only 20 rounds isn't that big of a deal I just pair it with the five seven haven't had a problem.
don't waste your money for pistols when you are not playing with awp (unless you are near 16k money), buying utility makes much more sense and you have always to take economy into account
yea like the guy just said don' waste ur money on pistols if u r not that good with the low ammo USP just go for P2000 (it's an underrated pistol btw)
And the price
And considering if you're good enough with your initial shots, 2 shots to the head is all you really need with the 1-S.
With how easy it is to control the 1-S with the first shots, those first 2 shots are practically all you need.
Ump with m4 bullets
As long as its 2900 the a1s is gonna be first choice.
I reckon that they should make both m4a4 and m4a1-s choose-able while mid game.
should be top comment.
Aged well
Aged like a fine wine 🍷
guess what
it will be possible in cs2
I think a few important points have been missed:
It was not just the damage and the easy control.
Make the A4 price cheaper and I would pernally want more bullets in the mag for the A1-S
I think both guns should be buyable on the ct side, then we can research and see which gun is used most on each map.
That and maybe just meet in the middle and make both guns worth 3000 instead of the 200 dollar price difference.
dude that old ak sound just gave me nostaliga shivers. those were the days
This aged Well, as we Can see in cs-2 You now have the option for both. And me knowing Valve, they probably did it to earn more money from skins😬
Love finding out Selen was at the background during Colten's aprt
Truly a cracked FPS goddess for an FPS video 😎
10:27 ohh... hey there selen hahaha
Selen in the background at 10:28 , absolute based choice
I thought so >.
So I’m imagining if Riot buffed the Phantom to be 4 shot to the body at all ranges, then the Phantom would be busted too.
Riot is very smart bout their weapons xD
On of the few games where shotguns are actually viable xD
I love the silencer, its such a beautiful, smooth, stealthy weapon.
1:03 we’re not gonna talk about him locking on to someone through a wall?
12:27 Loool, this dude actually made it here.
Im my opinion this buff showed the true potential of AK-47 and asked people to become even better with the weapon, holding angles etc
Because actually the a1-s buff caught players off guard
Their sloppy aim was no more allowed
The stats(CT vs T) are much more competitive than the technical advantage the a1-s gave to the cts
I think the prices should be swapped because then we will see more use of the a4.
Edit: or to reduce the ct sidedness of the game you could put both rifles up to $3100 or possibly make the a1s 3150 if that doesn't work
“98 in 4”
The M4A4 needs to be cheaper. Other than that I think the range modifier change will do enough to make both guns viable in different situations. That said, it's time to give CTs the option to purchase both weapons in the same match.
Yeah and make CT side even stronger. Genius
Was a hardcore A4 user ever since i started in 2016, operation riptide rolls around and Ive used the A1S ever since, never switched back, prolly wont.
Even after the nerf I can't remember when I died to an M4A4 last time
Colton is watching a selen stream and has a ina poster, he is officially a vtuber watcher
😎 Thanks for making it official.
Valve should make M4A1-S $3100 and make them both options you can choose mid match
My problem with it is like you said, it’s a noob cannon, the skill gap between A1 and AK is huge
Most balanced thing would be to make both weapons cost same.
Just implement only one version of m4 like in 1.6 or css. Who the feck needs two versions?
@@Mojom8 you do realize that skins exist. your idea is simply impossible to be applied. the solution is the price swap. the better, more popular gun gets more expensive, and the one that is literally balanced with the AK since forever, gets to be the cheaper one.
@@jonsnow7092 i know that is is not possible. Sad enough. Counterstrike never needed skins btw.
At really long range... Close is 4 !
i think an inversion of the guns prices is a good idea. Even with the damage fall off nerf I think the a1s is still strong.
I think switching prices and giving 5 more bullets without the ability to 4 shot at extreme range would make the be a little more balanced. Maybe don’t give back the 5 bullets.
Your editor is watching Selen please give him a raise
Thanks, I'll send this comment to my bosses. Hope it works o.O
think swapping the prices of the a1-s & the a4 would help balance things a lil more
Literally nerfed yesterday lmfao
"Is the M4A1-S Ruining CS:GO?"
Awp on dust 2 : Allow me to introduce myself
How to deal with awp players in dust 2. EASY just buy an AWP too. I use revolver aganist awpers, and they usually die from it.
You should be able to to pick etheir in game not before the game and the a1-s definitely needs a little damage decrease
Best way to balance the CT Side
1. price both of 'em for 3000$
2. Equal damage and recoil
3. One should have the option to buy either of them.
So the people who want higher fire rate can buy the m4a4, and the people who want the silence and sneaking abilities of the a1 can buy the M4A1-S
everyone is still going to pick the a1s lil bro. The silencer makes it infinitely better than the a4 if its equally priced and equal damage and recoil💀like come on bro think
make the m4a4 2900 and the a1s 3100 or 3200
for a week or so I tried using the M4A4 over the M4A1-S.
Stats wise the A4 has always been closer to the 1.6 M4 than the A1
i mean its a pendulum -it swings from one gun to another.
Hearing the OG sound a1-s at 667RPM is so nostalgic
Like you said earlier it’s mainly about t’s having power and ct’s having accuracy, but if the m4a1s has a bigger damage, then valve should need the accuracy like it is a t gun, either by nerfing the recoil, crosshair, or even make the rate of fire a bit slower
1:40 "The biggest operation we ever had" lul wtf
Make the AK no longer a single head tap kill. That’s it. Because if you’re CT, you still drop the M4A1-S for an AK.
btw. the famas is the most underrated weapon in all of cs history. just the price alone is just criminal. the facte that no one sees that potential reminds me of the sg553 (the krieg)
Famas is shitty, I prefer playing with a MP9 then with a famas
@@msk8393 fair enough you have balls to push then. but for people who want a rifle with mid to long range (more mid range) then the famas is really good considering the price. tho technically i do agree with you.
its a worse mp9. you dont break even on 2 kills with the famas. you also have a far worse rifle into AKs that you want to be more mobile against
@@HerbaceousM8 again, the mp9 is for ez kills when you have the balls to move in, however thefamas is a more forgiving rifle option,\. meaning it's better at long ranges than an mp9
Famas is a badass headshot machine.
So no one gonna Talk about 5 bullets in AWP
No. Can't imagine the win rate on CT side in this GO version if they never added the M4A1-S.
just say youre bad and you need the a1s to compete, csgo would still be ct sided without the a1s
@@santana2993 yes exactly. Thats why terrorists need better cheaper guns
Switch at-s and a4 cost, let the weaker weapon be 2900 so you can more easily buy it 2nd round than the current 3100, ct economy hates a4 but tthe a1s is okay in the current climate
In my opinion just make both m4's 3k each and increase recoil on m4a1-s recoil to be more similar to m4a4
Valve could’ve just made the situation better a long time ago by just switching the price between m4s, better option more expensive and cheaper option is little bit worse, even if the A1 didn’t had its nerfs I think with this singular change everything would’ve been fine.
Doesn't really matter if it's buffed or nerfed to be honest. Both teams get a chance to use it.
Bruh… that’s true but:
1) if you start out as ct then you’re gonna get closer to the best of X on the first half, which means starting out as ct gives you more chances to win
2) even if both teams play t side anyways, it’s not fun to enter a site and get obliterated, look at those charts at 11:20
Extremely dominate strategies only have a 50% win rate. That seems perfectly balanced, but it's because everyone picks it, so every loss has it too.
The whole point of the a1-S is that its better on longer range, so by that logic nerfing its recoil to force ppl to tap more, which is predominantly done on longer ranges(unless you're scream) would be the best choice imo.
for me it's the 200 dollars
I'm not a good player, so the most I can get in a round is typically 2-3 frags, which meant that the a1s is still plenty, the drop in long range damage is not that important, cuz like you said, Ts are typically rushing towards you, so when they're running towards me, we're typically duelling at short to mid distances.
I think they can return to the old damage dropping rate, but increase the price to 3100 while reducing the m4 to 2900
Selen Tatsuki easter egg sighted
Answer: whichever one you have a better skin for
Its so weird to think that I played waay before the Arms Deal update
The funny thing is this shouldn't have been a problem to begin it. Valve just tried to introduce more variety by making one gun into two. Should just turn them into one gun again and have the carry handle or rail as just visual model without any stats change.
Why would anyone use the a1s then? It's longer and more likely to give you away
M4a4 is 200$ more expensive
with the current nerf of the a1s dmg range and with the mag size all we need left is the reserve ammo to be 45 its pretty random but thats what i think and the price to 3000$
I played my first 50 hrs without knowing I could use m4a1s instead of m4a4 and the silencer sure feels a little bit sharper than m4a4
I stopped playing CSGO a while ago but it didn't deserve to be nerfed
But they are nerfing it to the ground tho
Csgo timing lol
Are you serious? A1 change makes no difference lol
bruh lmfao the timing of this video. L
200 doesnt sound like a lot but it adds up to essentially a full buy round over a team of A4s across a half.
you can call me crazy or weird but i kept playing with the M4A4 even after the riptide update and the A1s buff
both a4 and a1-s should be priced 3100 , ct round become expensive to lose. with option to choose either 1 in as per round
Make the A1-S the same price as the A4 or even swap the prices so the A4 is the $2900 option instead
they either need to change the price so both weapons are $2900, decrease the damage on the A1-S or go a step further and drop the magazine to maybe 15 bullets per mag so it's still viable at range but now it's much tougher to piece an entire team so closer range maps see more play with the A4.
the problem is that a price decrease for A4 would not solve the CT/T balance issue. further nerfs to A1 stats will get people furious. the swap in price is the only viable solution. you want the laserbeam, you pay more. a4 balance against AK is also tried and tested, it makes sense to be the default option.
in my opinion, reverting the latest nerf to A1 and also swapping the price would pretty much solve all the issues.
Now all that needs to happen is to make the M4A4 3000$
Not sure on that second statement, but It feels right. Only time will tell if it's necessary or not. Point is that the M4A4 is the only option CTs have now if they wanna 4-shot someone on Long A or from Mid to Window in mirage.
Colten! man, I miss Ina.. seeing her, poster? at your room really hit the spot. wah wah wah!
You're very welcome >.
They nerfed it, but it is still too damn accurate. People can still camp ticket on mirage and reliably double headshot ramp. Along with the made change, the meta on pugs has shifted so much
Colten is cultured as hell
I personally liked the pre 2015 M4A1-S, but they should buff the M4A4 so it’s inline with that version of the A1.
nah bro 20/40 bullets? hell no
zowie mouse and 360 hz is literally pay to win
I personally think adding a new rifle for the T-side to go against the A1-S would be a cool solution
The AS VAL. It only has 20-25 ammo in a mage and is suppressed. If the AK is the M4A4 counterpart then the M4A1-S would be the AS VAL counterpart.
no just bring back old m4a1s
I'd say to just increase the A1's price up to the M4's. That way you have to choose: More damage for bodyshots, or a faster rate of fire.
I choose between the A1 and A4 depends on the map since i played csgo , no matter the update op or anything
99 dink wasnt possible until just after the update
What I don't get is all these changes to "balance" the game and the 5-7 is a 1 hit hs and cost $500...
now that the magazine is down to 20, it changes a bit of things, but ever since I played csgo, it was m4a1-s always. More accuracy, less noise, much better burst control. But as I said in the beginning, the magazine being drop to only 20 rounds is like "FFS".
I hate the M4A4 with a passion. I will never get used to the sideways sway when spraying. Thats why i will be forever using the A1.
