Don't take this the wrong way as I love your content and you've taught me a lot about TAB, but something about your voice has been giving me the best nights of sleep in my life. You are my RTS ASMR creator.
I beat my first campaign with snipers and full map clears, the biggest struggle I found was getting used to starting production early, then spamming production later. My biggest hurdle was my unwillingness to let a single unit die 😅 but with a bit of acceptance and micromanaging finesse, that hurdle became my strongest skill to early map clears.
man its really a big shame we didnt get the real buildup here on the final try, like i like to see teh first impression but also would love to see the optimizations he made to his economy and really dont want to fish for it in the garbage pool of twitch
I finally got They Are Billions! 😁 And I found out that not being able to touch-type hinders my capability a fair bit. Can you re-map keys? Or do you have to always hold down the Alt key to keep the monster health bars on screen? It says it's supposed to be the "menu" button, but that does nothing. 😔 Still... it's been fun for the first 5 missions 🤩
To have the health bars up all the time you need to rebind alt to a numpad number, then in game with numlock off hold that number and lock the numpad. It's pretty convoluted but that's how it's done. I can't touch type either but using space to pause helps a lot. No pause is an extra challenge for when 900% is too easy.
I had probs made a string of archers and send em off one by one, each of them agroing an evergrowing pile which id run towards the mutants/giants untill all of them would be close to the edge of the map. If only cheese was a thing eh
im 1 minute into the video, and i'm already thinking this might be a very good tutorial map for new players really teaches the importance of sound, right?
As cool as this map was, I can't help but wish there was some sort of mechanic where you can destroy forest and make a path to the unreachable areas. Doesn't help with resources, but would give you other options early on for space.
That sounds like an interesting mechanic, you'd have to trade off your wood income and potentially open routes into your base but it could be well worth it.
on Day 20 he pulls 5 mutants and dies. Probably could have survived 1 or 2 but, no... 5 mutants Probably would rush shocking towers, and trigger the mutants with towers. clear that muck and ballista the mutants, I guess.

I wish the developers would add a command for troops to go inside the nearest tower possible as opposed to manually clicking them into each tower.

By walls you mean Mountains and Forests? In that case no. There needs to be an available path. Also can't expand around the map border.
