Looks like Ocean used the same engine for this as they did with Robocop 2 and Hook.

I recently just played through both. The controls in Robocop 2 are infinitely worse than in Darkman.
Yeah Larry the first time I played it, heard the music saw the font it was Robocop 2 that immediately jumped to mind... heck some of the enemy sprites are lifted from Robocop 2
Yep. Never played this one, but played the other two, and they were trash.
Ocean titles all had the same sounding music, too.

I saw this movie so many times as a kid, and those sequels.. ugh. Surprised I never played this one, but then again I don't recall ever seeing it at the various rental stores I visited back in the day.

I noticed that opening theme sounds like Robocop, and when the game starts it us easy to notice that it looks and have physics like Robocop 2 too
The game was made by the same 5 guys who did RoboCop 2.

Though it had improved graphics and sound, Darkman for the Amiga was hella hard due to joystick controls.

You aren't given unlimited continues. Not at all. You are limited in how many times you can continue the game.

YES! I thought I was the only one that cared about Darkman! The slippery controls I never found to be THAT bad, just something you have to adjust to.
High quality review and I would have expected no less from Dave.
A-lot of fond memories of this game. Never beat it.when I was young. Maybe I should re-buy it ands try again.

RoboCop 2 and Darkman were both developed by Ocean.
