@@inyourgranmaass3605 I use my ship for storage and “fast travel” but to upgrade certain things you need to use your ship and you can use the space simulation thing at the mast center for some of them.
I’m really enjoying your Starfield content Force. Unlike other RUclipsrs jumping on the anti-Starfield bandwagon for clicks you’ve actually put enough time into the game to truly see what makes it an enjoyable experience.

The flexibility of the fast travel is what's keeping me going. I think back of my time with Red Dead 2 which I finished 3 times and while the game is one of my favorites of all time, the lack of fast travel felt extremely punishing. In the long rong run, for a big game, with so many locations, fast travel was so necessary for this game.
The traversal and fast travel is off putting to a lot of people at first, but once you really get deep into the game it really sets a very addictive pace to the gameplay loop. This is why I suspect it was an intentional choice, not just some cutback they had to make due to performance or engine limitations.

If you fight ecliptic mercenaries in space and find a claymore ship its a pretty good C class ship you can get for the price of like 6 or 7 dead mercenaries
I ran into a little bit of a glitch myself with my storage system . The game was acting like I was carrying everything giving me CO2 penalties . Even though every single thing that they said I was carrying was actually on my ship . Luckily I'm not the type of person who treats a save file like it's some precious thing . So I just deleted that save and started over . Another thing that surprised me , was finding out that the game would allow you to sell your only space suit . And then not even warn you that you need to get a new one before you go on to your next mission .
Could really use a deep dive video on ship combat. Right now, it seems to boil down to how many ship parts you have on hand, as I can't figure out how to break contact long enough to get my shields to regen (even with moving power to engines and hitting boost, the range on weapons seems insane, and enemy ships tend to outclass the Mantis ship I currently have). I freely admit Im early in the game, but this is acting as a roadblock to my enjoyment, so would love to see a break down on how to fight, what to mod your ship with, etc.
Man, have to say, appreciate you telling the 1000:1 ratio. I started at 150:1 and that wasn't working. Never have seen someone talking about the ratio before.
It’s always been a thing for me. In Oblivion mine was 10 gold per pound, in Skyrim it went up to 20. It’s just always worked best for me to have a system to limit excess junk.
It’s definitely faster than most BGS games. Appears to be 24hrs from what I can tell although most of the time I’m too busy being an overencumbered idiot to go back and sell my items.
I'm not playing the game, but I wonder if you want to be the super mega good guy, what do you do with contraband? Don't pick it? Pick it and deliver it to officers? Maybe for a reward in credits or in "good karma"?

the game is ok but IMO it's kinda the same spot diablo 4 is at. You are super hype at launch to play it, you will put dozens upon dozens... maybe even hundreds of hours into it only to finally realize. This is a foundation of a game and not the game it will be after a few DLC's. This is nowhere near a space sim and you can't just freely explore, it's a bethesda style RPG with a space theme. Which is fine but I think it will be better down the road. Many right now are just experience that honeymoon phase of the game.
Bro is mad that it's a Bethesda space rpg and not a space Sim. That's like being mad that baldurs gate was a hardcore fantasy crpg and not an 3rd person action rpg
@@nickh4354 never said I was mad. I said the game is ok. I think you're mad that not everyone is bowing down to bethesda and giving it the praise you think it deserves. Have fun with all the cutscenes landing and launching off planets which are just loading screens in disguise lol
@@1ButtonDash ? huh ? Yah.. no shit its a loading screen, lmao. nah man, it's way more like people not understanding ANY of the technical trade offs or limitations when thinking a cell based engine would be the first ever to combine full worldspace object etc. persistence with proc-gen streaming on a locally deployed game and not either end up with a flight 'sim' like ED that has a paper thin spread sheet memory and environmental alzheimers sacrificing most of what makes their game's unique in the process or a 'game' like SC that's terminally stuck on a server and whose beta much less local deployment is always 5 years away. People were dumb enough to expect the holy grail, the 'fusion energy' of gaming engines... just no. I just expected fallout with some space stuff, that's what they delivered and delivered like a good 150hrs initial year and probably 300hrs lifetime for 70bucks. Pretty good value. Insane people think these things ought to continue forever. And yeah, some of the things will be expanded on that weren't worth it to devs and would definitely cause memory issues on the consoles, I expect sublight mods to release with the CK, star systems are already a continuous world-space, but really it just comes down to holding down the 'w' button for a prolonged period of time. It'll feel freer, but if NMS feedback has anything to say about end user experience is that shorter TPs are better, and a small small minority actually value 'space trucking' and even then they 'QOL' gimp simulated systems into TP events (it's a clever loading screen, that thing you pretend to be a problem, that warps you) ie. their atmospheric transitions used to be 5-10mins, playtest said it's awfully boring, they then had to cut it down to 5-10secs. There's a whole lot of drama farmers pushing the narrative and prior hyping people to be disappointed for these systems, there's very little data to show they're actually in **practice** popular, romantically so - yes, just look at SCs budget, in reality it's always QOL hacks later doing the opposite.
First off you should but this game its good, 2n'd if a video is sponsored take everything you hear as a suggestion from the people who sponsored the video. My guess is that people like this game and will speak of it in a positive light so being sponsored is just extra money. I am NOT sponsored and will suggest you play it but it's not all love and roses. Your NPC is useless and the enemy AI is only just about 30-IQ, the loot is all over but 99% is not worth the space you need to carry it, you will find yourself 1/4 in a mission or place and having to leave all the loot behind. So sure its a good game, sure its worth the basic cost but is it great? No, whats the point in being able to pick up most things when you can not hold them? Unlocking a skill is good the problem is why upgrade it when it makes so little difference you might as well just keep unlocking more kills rather than just going for a build. For example I love being sneaky and using rifles....YOU CAN NOT SNEAK until you have level 3 or 4 because you will be seen through walls 9 miles away and you can try and kill them but fck you everyone knows where you are now meaning sneak is good from the first act but nothing more. Your followers are like from 1990 they have no idea how to attack or sneak and it is basically "Fck them good luck" you can not control them or give them any orders and at the start you are FORCED to keep the stuck up b.i.t.c.h so you can not even steal a pencil without getting told your a bad person. So is it worth your money sure is it great NO, it will just keep you not thinking for a few weeks(Say week because, well you know)
The fast travel system kinda ruins the game TBH. It doesn't even feel like a space exploration game, with all the fast travel it honestly feels like they could have made the same game with all cities on one planet.. I mean what is even the point of the other planets? Idk... Feels like a huge let down. They really need a suvival mode with no fast travel, fuel, hunger and thrist.
tip 1: dont get hyped tip 2: dont buy, till major bugs are fixed tip 3: wait for a x% sale tip 4: wait another 1-2years for the modder scene to make this an actual game
I'm also in the same boat maybe because I expected it to be revolutionary in exploration areas where I'm totally disappointed so far. Overall the mechanics and gameplay and lore are amazing. But yeah I don't think it lives upto the superficial Hype they gave it.
@@muzamilnabinadroo I think I overestimated the ships and like fighting with them, it’s not as fluid as I wanted it to be but I think it’ll get better with time and updates, still really fun tho
@@DreadedPlayzyeah same emotion here. Actually I was also expecting seamless exploration of the planets and their moons but here we are. Seems like we got epic storyline with great ship building simulator, but with no real ship flying and with loading screen at every coner and bunch of copy paste content. Glad I didnt pre-order.
You have ship to ship combat and mechanics that come into play in both combat and commercial use purposes. These mechanics are directly effected by the modifications you make to your ship. It’s a spaceship in outer space. It’s not a fighter jet and this isn’t MS flight sim. What more do you want? If ya game is so big and empty it requires fast travel you've failed...if you have to implement fast travel then it should be limited and come with various random and unpredictable complications, interruptions and events that make it interesting...accidents, collisions, ambushes, discoveries s.o.s and maydays etc Basically fast travel should be a random roll to start a unavoidable quest or begin a short story...the unexpected diversions and paths of the journey are what make an adventure.

There's a whole lot of drama farmers pushing the narrative and prior hyping people to be disappointed for these systems, there's very little data to show they're actually in **practice** popular, romantically so - yes, just look at SCs budget, in reality it's always QOL hacks later doing the opposite.
are you channeling Raxx these days?
So is it worth your money sure is it great NO, it will just keep you not thinking for a few weeks(Say week because, well you know)
get that bag
First tip: It's not optimized. It doesn't have DLSS.
Not being able to fly around at least solar systems is so lame
What's with the thumbnail for this video?
FastTravelLoadingScreenField. Great game.
Great video from a guy sitting indoors wearing a hoodie. 🙂 The info sounds useful.👍
The fast travel system kinda ruins the game TBH. It doesn't even feel like a space exploration game, with all the fast travel it honestly feels like they could have made the same game with all cities on one planet.. I mean what is even the point of the other planets? Idk... Feels like a huge let down.
They really need a suvival mode with no fast travel, fuel, hunger and thrist.
tip 1: dont get hyped
tip 2: dont buy, till major bugs are fixed
tip 3: wait for a x% sale
tip 4: wait another 1-2years for the modder scene to make this an actual game
I have a love hate relationship with this game, not sure if I like it or not.
I'm also in the same boat maybe because I expected it to be revolutionary in exploration areas where I'm totally disappointed so far. Overall the mechanics and gameplay and lore are amazing. But yeah I don't think it lives upto the superficial Hype they gave it.
In 2 years this game will be amazing, let it pass for now
@@muzamilnabinadroo I think I overestimated the ships and like fighting with them, it’s not as fluid as I wanted it to be but I think it’ll get better with time and updates, still really fun tho
@@DreadedPlayzyeah same emotion here. Actually I was also expecting seamless exploration of the planets and their moons but here we are. Overall I'm also having a blast but i wanted it to be the game of the year winner which I don't think it'll be now considering how better Baldur's gate 3 and Tears of the kingdom shipped mechanics wise.
@muzamilnabinadroo doesn't want to occasionally move your ship to keep exploring a planet then praises a game with no real gameplay. Odd to me
Not your best work. Very generic common sense intro. But cool Bethesda gave you some rl credits. 😊
Plot your course for the next planet in your current system and receive a prompt that you will arrive in 3 months or more?
@@rockandrollrockandrollrock6930pepper got lied too, they thought they were getting no man sky on steroids. They can't even do no man sky planets or even have the sense of discovering a planet, your juat clicking on it lol they lied point blank period.
Too many haters and trolls
If ya game is so big and empty it requires fast travel you've failed...if you have to implement fast travel then it should be limited and come with various random and unpredictable complications, interruptions and events that make it interesting...accidents, collisions, ambushes, discoveries s.o.s and maydays etc
Basically fast travel should be a random roll to start a unavoidable quest or begin a short story...the unexpected diversions and paths of the journey are what make an adventure.
