It’s true about a late entry race, i remember signing up for stafford half on the day a few years ago, didn’t know the course profile or anything. ended up running an 8min pb on the day!
I tried to say its on back to you but was only capable of gibberish at that point 😂 funny how it all works out when you get a late entry!

I love a race. They're so much fun. You find that (a lot of the time) you raise your game and find something extra from somewhere. If you can - book some in! Cheers mate 👍🏻

Thanks Tiffany - I think I thought I could run a 3 minute something last KM, but went to hard too soon and faded a bit! So pleased I managed to find a little something for the sprint finish!

Congrats mate! I'd feel the same about lack of medal, I only have 2 races/medals behind me so far, but I'm already addicted to collecting as many as I can!
I know. Maybe it's for environmental reasons or something? Tbh the whole thing felt a bit like a 10k time trial rather than a race as most were there for a fast time not a good time 😂

Great effort mate! Love Bourton on the Water. Marathon training has obviously helped your base so even with heavy legs and not training for that distance you got a new PB! Sub-40 training post-marathon? 💪🦖
Thank you! Yes I was surprised that I was able to hold that pace with 50 miles in the legs! Delighted tbh! Let's get sub 20 5k first and then go from there 🤣

You're a runner not a flaming Magpie😀...Your sense of improved self and achievement is what counts which comes from pushing your own boundaries best you can as a hobby runner...The race/event is the target and the reward/celebration/pay off no matter the result and is the reason i watch your channel and not to watch you get bits of Tin 🙂...great vid 🙂

Oh wow! Running for time is overrated, it's all about that medal for me! Bring on Nottingham
I'm a big fan of the clock - keeps me pushing forward. Disappointed there was no medal though, the whole thing felt a bit like a time trial though, so it's not the idea race for most that don't want want to run as hard as they can! Nottingham will be a completely different feel, and probably a much more relaxed atmosphere!
