Andy, the bit with you two laughing whilst eating sandwiches is one of the most wholesome, hilarious few minutes I’ve ever watched on RUclips. It’s just the best.
Honestly Andy, I’m loving this so much. I’m halfway in, on the train to London, cackling away at the tater tots section. The kids are well embarrassed to be associated with me 😂.
Your video is making me think back to my first 100k back in May. Ran it with very similar ambitions to you. Having seen your Strava I’m anticipating a tougher second half for you… which is exactly how my race went.
Lots of chuckling as I watch, and at times a bit misty eyed at just how bloody brilliant running is.
Also: strong choice from Sam re: marmite sandwich. I’m defo doing this on my next race.

Have been looking forward to seeing this! I am glad I'm not the only one who despised that last section before the final descent to the stones. Great meeting you, Sam, Laura and Daisy during the run. Looking forward to following your next challenge. I've got Manchester in April and Endure 24 in June as my next focus and likely a half marathon before the end of the year. Not in so much of a rush of pushing another 100k just now, but never say never ;)

Great Video Andy and great achievement. Watched your 50K from last year and then this one. Planning on the second 50K as my first Ultra next year.
Nice one Jason! Both options are good as a 50k, however I think the 2nd half is slightly easier with less up and down. It's still a bloody long way though. Best of luck with it!

Well done on the 100k, a great team effort. I was due to run/pace my friend on the sunday but she had to pull out, so we plan to do the full next year, i have a few big races around the planet in the lead up to this in 2025…..😉

Absolutely fantastic effort. I was absolutely humbled by my first trail ultra. I fell into the same track just thinking take my marathon time and add about an hour for the last 8km. Trail and road are different beasts entirely

did you say you have bunions? Same! And may I ask if you don‘t have problems running these distances or are afraid they get worse and worse? Right now I get problems around 20k, and am not sure if I can push for the Marathon :(
They ache so much, but after a couple of days the ache subsides. Rinse and repeat unfortunately!

Any recommendation for running vests?
Mine is the salomon hydra 8 is the only one I've ever worn, and I love it still after 2 years. Wear it almost 2/3 times a week.
